what do you guys think about the isle [evrima]?
to me its super fun but also not fun at all, and i definitely have a love-hate relationship with it. on my first time playing evrima, i played as a carno for about 10 hours without dying and found a huge group. one by one everyone started either logging or dying and i found new members, and then it was my time to go. i was 1-calling and was with a friend, following to sound to another carno. then i fell of a cliff. and died. and so did my friend. carnos are my favourite tho, and i had a really fun time playing as a carno for the firs time, meeting all these people. i watched the gaming beaver a lot playing evrima and so i knew some tricks, like how you have to be super careful near water and stuff.
so i am kind of looking for some people who'd like to play with me as a carno (or mixpacking is fine), and cause havoc. but you can just use this as a chatting platform about the isle and just exchange tips and stuff.
i've honestly never played as a herbivore or a deino/ptero that much, i only really stick to carnos and thats what i like. utahs do have the better growth, but what makes it fun about carnos is having to wait longer. i think carnos take about 8 hrs to get to full grown, right? correct me if im wrong. but i just really like this game, and playing it is so much fun! well, until you die by some random utah pack, lmao.

Oh man I've wanted to get back into The Isle since Evrima came out. Last time I played was like 2-ish years ago? Not sure but I had over 1,000 hours on the game and loved it very much. I also watch TheGamingBeaver (reason I started playing) and the Evrima gameplay seems... boring, tbh. I'm interested in playing as the Ptera because the playstyle seems way different from any of the legacy dinos. Also because it grows quickly, I don't have the time to sit around for half a day growing a dinosaur that can die in 10 seconds.
Tho I do want to hear from other people who actually play! Maybe I'll get convinced to start playing again. My one concern is the absolute flaming trash heap that is the community. I'm stupidly sensitive and everyone seems so rude or toxic

evrima feels very off and a lot more boring...
but to be honest, both branches are boring. there really isnt anything to do. the isle is like a glorified chatroom.... i still enjoy playing though, but lately its been driving my gpu junc temps all the way to 110 sometimes.

evrima kinda feels more empty? less alive? that's how it seems to me at least. i used to play the isle constantly, (i have over 500 hours) but evrima just really doesnt feel as good as legacy to me.
here's to hoping it feels less like an empty jungle in a box once they're done with evrima though, i'd love to able to actually like it.

i'll rlly only ever play the isle when im in a vc w some friends and we're all playing it + just vibing. it's not fun when everyone's trying to talk, nor is it fun playing alone. evrima's the same imo too, while also feeling much less balanced and weird to focus on? idk, they're only fun in specific circumstances to me.

i was trying to get into evrima recently. its sooo pretty, but THE CLIFFS!! omg another player and i ran off a huge hidden cliff and died. a little bit later, i was exploring some more and fell off another random hidden cliff. i think they need to go through and get rid of them, because now i stay in open areas and avoid exploring ); theyre soo hidden and you have no chance to stop and turn around.
on a positive note, im a utah main and i rly rly love how they look and sound. i think a skin system is coming soonish which im super excited for. all of the dinos look so ** good.

Evrima has potential but as of right now I just can't enjoy it, it feels really empty unlike legacy. I think not being able to chat contributes to that feeling for me, I always end up back on legacy.

satanicSatan I tried and I didn't see anything, so idk if it's just the server maybe :/ I only have legacy installed now so I can't test anything and even then not being able to choose the colours of my dinosaurs is heartbreaking for me, why cant I be pretty yet >:(

i heard they are making a new skin system for evrima, i THINK, not 100% sure but do keep an eye out for it!
