This has been lingering in my mind because I just blazed through Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth so fast that I can't wait for the next installment.
I just now started reading through Dune because I figured now is the time lol.
So I'm wondering what books others are currently obsessed with?

Oh man, I just recently went book shopping! I have super broad tastes.
Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao is sooo good so far. It's a science fiction/fantasy novel with a unique inspiration from Medieval China.
This isn't fantasy or anything but Enemy of All Mankind by Steven Johnson is such a gripping historical tale. I love pirates so much, lol.
Another non-fiction book I loved so far was Being with Dying by Joan Halifax.

Also Dune! We love a good worm around here. I read it for the first time recently, and tbh? Now I get why it's a classic. It's got me so bad I'm even reading the sequels, and it's bananas in a great way.

karahalios Iron Widow is on my list to read!! I'm such a huge fan of pirates as well so that one is going to be going on my list as well because any pirate content is the best. LOVE LOVE LOVE your signature for that fact!
@
Verruciformis I'm looking forward to reading the sequels!! Honestly what pulled my attentions to Dune while shopping were the tales for the specific houses, it got me super interested! Although I believe those were written by his son?

Recently re-read Raptor Red again (despite there being a lot of books still on my to-do list), and yeah, it keeps its spot as my favourite for now. Sometimes, it's just nice reading about an animal just being an animal.

I kind of lost the appeal for fiction/series books, so I've just been reading a lot of medical and science books. Especially stuff that connects to oncology, systems within the body, epidemiology, evolution, paleontology, oceans, etc.
If you're into that sort of stuff, I HEAVILY recommend Siddhartha Mukherjee's "The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer". Absolutely fantastic and really put into perspective how we've been battling this ancient foe since the dawn of civilization.

Started reading the picture of Dorian gray and it is SO GOOD. Oscar Wilde is one of my favourite authors; that blend of Victorian England literature with comical Humor he has is amazing!
