I know there was a thread about asexual headcannons, though I’ve longed for one to just put all my LGBTQ+ headcannons on! I’m also including the “basically cannon but feared losing sales so they made it ambiguous” stuff here. Anything that isn’t 100% confirmed is welcomed

Since this is specifically about characters, I think this is fine to have a separate thread from the main LGBTQ+ one, so here it goes

I’m pretty sure most people already know this, but please only talk about fictional characters here. Real people’s sexuality/gender isn’t for speculation. Someone playing a character is fine, but the real person themself shouldn’t be included

Anyways! Here are the ones that come to mind

Apollo Justice from Ace Attorney as trans! He has a whole thing about being obsessed with voice training and it just makes sense to me. Not a lot of grounding on this one, I just like to imagine it. On that note, a lot of the Ace Attorney characters are… definitely not straight.

Luke from the Sarah Jane Adventures as nonbinary. Okay, this one is a kinda obscure show (it’s a doctor who spin-off for a younger audience), but the headcannon itself makes a lot of sense. Luke was created as an archetype of humanity, using the minds of both men and women as a reference. Therefore, he’d have a brain in between the typical “male” and “female” one. He has numerous interactions where it’s clear he doesn’t understand the human social construct of gender - not knowing what a “girl” is, wanting to be named “Maria” and not understanding why his friends think that’s a bad idea, etc. He also doesn’t understand gender roles: finding it weird when his friend is surprised he likes shopping, not getting Clyde’s obsession with girls, not wanting to do laser tag and then getting surprised by the owner’s sexism. This character is so nonbinary-coded it’s insane. Apparently, before the show was cancelled, he was planned to come out as gay, so not enby in cannon, but still queer at least?

On that Doctor Who note, the Doctor as asexual and on the aromantic spectrum! Not entirely aro, as he has Rose + Riversong, and it’s implied that he once had a crush on the Master, but he doesn’t seem 100% alloromantic to me.

basically all of my faves XD here's a few of my favorite headcanons:

- Xemnas (Kingdom Hearts) is demiromantic, asexual and he/him nonbinary. I mostly headcanon him as nonbinary because I think he wouldn't really care what he is, he just is. the whole concept of gender is a little foreign to him. he likes being referred to as 'he' so that's what he goes with.

- Even (Kingdom Hearts) is intersex, transgender and gay. he uses he/him and identifies as male. not really sure where this headcanon came from, but it exists and I like it, it makes sense in my head.

- Touya (CardCaptor Sakura) is panromantic demisexual with slight preference for men. this is technically canon, always nice when headcanons are technically canon.

- Amelia (Slayers) is bisexual. I honestly got nothing on this one, I just vibe with it.

Nancy from stranger things as bisexual. Her and Robin had something going on this season you just cannot deny it

every single character from genshin impact i swear not a single one of them is straight. also scaramouche is trans

Tangle and Whisper from Sonic IDW are pretty widely accepted as lesbians in love, but it hasn't been confirmed. [emoji=coatl happy size=1]

hunter from the owl house is transgener and bi .... . i feel like every character in the owl house has something going on with their gender ....

red son from lego monkie kid is genderfluid and uses any pronouns :3c and mk is trans ftm :3c i mean both headcanons are sort of canon ? not really but . Maybe.

Every character I like is queer but some examples from my favorite thing of all time, the Pokemon anime:
Ash: demi/bi trans boy
Gary: gay, masc-aligned nonbinary
Professor Oak: aroace trans man
Delia: bi
Tracey: gay trans boy
May: pan trans girl
Drew: bi trans boy
Harley: that one post that's like "this character is LGBT" "what, all at once?"; I don't know the specific way he's queer but he definitely is.
Solidad: aroace, nonbinary (agender or a demigirl, I can never decide)

Count Olaf: Queer but refuses any other label (I don't care if he is a villain he literally has a troupe of people who would probably be queer around him.) Also nice Lemony Snicket reference there.

Junko Enoshima: Probably experiences her gender in relation to her emotions. She also heavily reads as someone with BPD to me, so she is bordersexual and her experiences with gender (and often entire identity) revolve around what she thinks her current FP might be most attracted to. I hate the fandom's constant "Junko is homophobic" headcanons when you actually take a look at her in-depth and look at her coding.

Nagito Komaeda: Sexually attracted to people who emobody the concept of hope, loveless aromantic, has five restraining orders against him.

Miu Iruma: Rurfem sapphic.

Tenko Chasibara reads more as bi with internalized misandry and misogyny than a lesbian because of her writing leaning heavily into lesbophobic stereotypes. Her writing feels less like wanting representation and more of a jab at the fanbase for knowing she will be seen as representation despite the harmful stereotypes. (AKA: Man-hating lesbian stereotype)

Mahiru (Blanking on her family name at the moment): Polysexual lesbian, and prefers this over sapphic.

Celestia Ludenberg: Transfem sapphic punk (Due to lolita's roots and being similar to the UK/US punk cultures), also gets gender euphoria from the victorian vampire aesthetic

I'm writing a lot of these in my own fic.


Oh and Harry Potter? Trans. I have a few spitefics thought up.
