How do you equip battle stones

If you've already set up your team (click Coliseum > Organize Party), what you wanna do is go to Abilities & Stats (right under Organize Party). Here you'll be able to drag and drop battle stones to add to a dragon's skill set. Just make sure your dragon is the required level and/or element for the stone you want to give them, otherwise it won't let you! Raising your dragon's level also allows you to give them more battle stones.

- Ping me plenty!
- If I'm holding your dragon(s) and my account appears inactive, their bio will tell you how to get ahold of me.

If you look at the dates, this thread is 3 years old! It's usually best to make new threads to ask new questions, since older threads are often outdated.
You cannot remove and reuse stones once they're on a dragon, but you can overwrite them with new ones. Simply click and drag the stone you want over the old slot, then select "Lock Stones" at the bottom when you're done. This destroys the old stone, so choose wisely!
If you're having trouble, and a stone isn't staying where you put it, check the required level and element (if any) in the tooltip and see if your dragon qualifies. Not all stones have an element requirement, but all of them have a level requirement.
Additionally, every battlestone and slot has a small gem-like shape at the bottom left, indicating which kind of stone it is (Energy, Ability, Augment, or Accessory). If the stone's symbol doesn't match the slot you're trying to use, it doesn't go there. Look for the matching symbol instead.
