Actually, I just saw another post that says it's apparently caused by AdBlocker. I turned off my adblocker on that page and now it's working!

Faire Game Socket: Alternate
Alternate socket seems to be the only way for me to have decent access.
In addition, please try clearing your cache.
What browser(s) are you using? Avoid using Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. Try using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome instead.

They've pretty much added a block of code blocking access to coliseum and the fair if you have an adblocker. A lot of people use an adblocker since FR's ads tend to do pop ups and redirect the page. Its pretty much been a last resort to make the game playable without getting a virus.
So they've gone a step further and said "fine. you block our ads and you can't fully play the game"
What a hissy fit by Flight Rising staff.
I can guarantee with premium sales and the ads that do play, they are in no danger of shutting down even with all the adblockers people use. Which let me remind you would not be necessary if they would contact the ad network and stop doing bad ads.

my friend and i have both gotten trojans from FR while taking off our adblockers... so now we are being forced to expose our systems to harmful programs in order to earn enough treasure to do anything?
