TOPIC | Borrowed dragon, owner disappeared?
Answered! Thanks, guys! :)

Pretty much what it says on the tin.

I borrowed a dragon from another player for a breeding project at the beginning of this month, but the owner of said dragon seems to have disappeared? Their lair is at 0 energy and I have no idea if or when they're coming back. So I still have their dragon sitting in my lair, in a pending crossroads delivery.

This is the first time I've ever borrowed a dragon, and waiting and wondering if the owner is ever going to take their dragon back is stressing me. I don't know if the dragon is special to the person, and I don't want to be rude and exalt, since they trusted me with their dragon and asked nothing in return.

It's not like I don't have space for it, but I was just wondering what others usually do when this happens to them?

@Pipkitten

Officially, it's your dragon as long as it's in your lair. Ettiquette-wise, a week or two of heads up is usually pretty good.

Send a private message with a deadline. Could be a week or two, could be "until I run out of space". If they have tumblr, you can contact them there, usually even if you don't have an account.

From poking about, if it's the orange Wildclaw, look at their art shop. They've got an email address you can reach them at.

This hasn't happened to me personally, but I am holding a few dragons for people whom this did happen to (the irony), and in their cases they didn't have enough space and would've exalted the dragons after a deadline. Hopefully Vely's post has helped you get ahold of the owner, but if it hasn't, I'd reccommend putting in the dragon's bio (assuming it has no coding) some of your own contact info--whatever you're comfortable with--just in case you yourself go on hiatus. Also/or, if you ever find that you're running out of space, feel free to ask me to hold the dragon! I don't like to see dragons exalted over these situations.

- Ping me plenty!

- If I'm holding your dragon(s) and my account appears inactive, their bio will tell you how to get ahold of me.

I just want to add that(if it is the orange wildclaw) you could also try to reach them on DeviantArt.

@Vely
Thank you so much for the advice! It is indeed the orange wildclaw. I hadn't thought of checking their art shop for an email to contact them at. It seems they do have a tumblr, so I'll try to reach them there as well.

@BK47
Putting my contact info in the bio if I go on hiatus is a fantastic idea; I'll be sure to do that if I've got to disappear for a bit. And thank you for offering to hold the dragon if I run out of space! You are very kind. :)

@JellyfishHero
Thanks a bunch for the link to their Deviantart! I'll send them a message there.
