I hate this update. It doesn't tell you it only has 5 slots, the den has no link to expand it anywhere, there is no communication on how to do anything with it, there's no information on where or how to expand the den, I can't even find a link to buy more with gems? How the hell do I expand the den? Why isn't there a link letting me do that on the lair or den? WHAT DO I CLICK ON?

When you're in either your lair or Hibernal Den click on the gear at the top. Once in that menu you can buy new tabs or slots.

You can also switch between the lair and den in that menu to buy tabs/slots for the other. So if you open that menu in the lair you can switch to the den to expand it.

When you click on the +Slots button you can choose between expanding with gems or trading in items (for the Den specifically. The lair is the same treasure value it was pre-udpate). Only a certain number of slots can be obtained with gems though. The rest have to be traded for.

You might wanna check out the update post again. It has a few instructions that you might find helpful if you're confused about anything else.
