It says it ill all revert to basic because he has some that arn't ok

Heads up, you've just posted the file path on your computer, not the images.

Even if they look similar and have similar names, Tertiary Gene: Runes and Tertiary Gene: Runes (Gaoler) are two different things and not interchangable. Fortunately Gaoler specific genes are a lot cheaper than their modern breed equivalents!
