Alright, sooooooooooooo
I think it'd be super neat to have a Primal eye dragon. But the only way to really get one is to like, breed stuff.
But I'm kind of lost as to where to begin with that? Obviously with a couple that produces dragons I like, but is there anything specific I need to watch for when choosing my couple? Such as "Oh the rarer their eye types the more likely they are to produce rare eye types"?
I reckon that makes sense but how eyes work here is so broken I don't really know
I'm subbed so no need to @ me

The eyes are completely random so no, the parents don't need to have rarer eyes
(Personally, I'd get multiple breeding pairs, especially if you are aiming for non-plentiful breed - the faster you can get more hatchlings, the better)

I guess to potentially state the obvious, consider whether the primal eyes work with the genes and colors the hatchlings your pair(s) will produce.
Wouldn't want the offspring to be ugly, by your standards, and have primal eyes? Unless your goal is truly any dragon hatched by you with primal eyes. If that's the case, then yeah keep your nests filled with mixed breed pairs for the most eggs on average (or gaolers).
And again, the obvious, but consider that you'll only get primal eyes of the flight you're in, so if you wanted say, fire primal, you'd have to change flights or trust someone to breed the parents for you.
