In the terms of use, it is said that any "attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Services" is not permitted. Does this extend to personal fiddling? Like if I wanted to copy the html code of a page and play with it in an editor just as a learning experience?
If this would be ok would it be permissible to post the results in the forums? Kind of like the photoshop threads which edit existing artwork, would posting a "redesign" of the look and feel of the site break ToU? (Without actually changing appearances with a browser extension or anything)
Edit: Additionally, it would be convenient to know whether using html to alter a(non-live, as Dagomor mentioned) page as an aide for suggestion forum posts would be allowed.
Thanks in advance!

Another rule to pay attention to here is:
12. The use of bots, scripts, or third party software that shortcut or alter site functions to run or appear in ways that are not intended by site design is not permitted. (Updated 11/26/2013)
If you're keeping it to only pictures posted, and using none of it on live pages, then I'd say it's a grey area. I can't see the harm really, I guess it might encourage others, but I do not speak for the admins.

You would need to send in a Contact Us form about that. Players can't give you permission for the devs.

Tserin Would it be sufficient to ping an admin, do you think?

It'd probably be easier to just send in a ticket. That way they'll definitely see it, though they may miss a ping since they no doubt get flooded with notifications on a daily basis.
