It works [acronym= See? it only works in forums ]HERE (hover over this)[/acronym] but it doesn't work in my profile or in a dragons information/bio.

foxwithdaflute The acronym/hover BBCode was disabled pretty much as soon as staff added it as users broke it by doing stuff like trying to quote the whole bee movie script.
Outside of the short time between being added and breaking the site it's never worked. It's been years since they disabled it.

Hover text like that was actually disabled a while back, since it was possible to... break the site with it. This is why we can’t post the bee movie script everywhere

Ok! I understand it now, it just confuses me that we can use it here but nowhere else. Maybe it'll be gone forever someday/it's a bug? Either way thanks for explaining! ^u^

foxwithdaflute Huh, I didn't even know it worked in forum posts! That's really neat. But in that case, maybe it's because dragon bios have a longer character limit than forum posts, so it'd be easier to break using exploits? I don't actually know if that's true; it's just an assumption.
Also, there are definitely some things that work in bios that don't work in forums (non-English characters), too, so it might just be that it was manually re-enabled for forums but never manually re-enabled for dragon bios.

Oop- looks like it doesn't work anymore lol. Kinda proud of myself for finding something this peculiar and most people wouldn't even know about - and I'm sorry admins for finding some way around the disabled bbc.

@foxwithdaflute Huh! I'd guess it was an oversight that they hadn't fixed on the forum, then, or something that got affected by whatever broke during the last maintenance. [emoji=ridgeback happy size=1]
