TOPIC | Need just a reminder
I've been off site for YEARS I just need a reminder on all the ways I can get more/ new dragon. If I remember there is no way to get ones with out parents correct me please if I'm wrong on that. I know there are breed change scrolls, do those switch out everyday I don't see all the dragons there on the specialty page.

1. Hatch an Unhatched Egg. Either this can be an Elemental Egg, which determines what elemental flight the new dragon will be from but randomizes the species to any of the four Common breeds, or a Nocturne or Bogsneak Egg, which has a random flight but a fixed species (e.g. Nocturne or Bogsneak, respectively). This new dragon will be a First Generation Dragon, which has all basic genes and random colors, but no parents. This is likely what you want when you want a dragon without parents.

1a) If you want a First Generation dragon that's of a different breed, you can buy Breed Change scrolls from the Marketplace (or directly from other players on the Auction House). All Breed Change scrolls are available at random on the Treasure Marketplace with four exceptions. Coatl and Wildclaw scrolls are Gem Marketplace items, but only Coatl scrolls are available right now as Wildclaws have cycled out again. Bogsneak scrolls are created through Baldwin's Bubbling Brew, and become brewable at Level 16. If you aren't at that level and don't want to wait, there are often people in Items for Sale willing to rent you their cauldron as long as you provide the needed materials. Finally, Imperial scrolls were a Kickstarter item, and will never be re-released under any circumstances. There are no current options for creating a First Generation Imperial.

2. Buy a dragon from another player, either through direct sales or the Auction House. The search options in the AH have likely been drastically updated since you last checked, and you can get quite specific in the options you want to search for. If you want a specific dragon or don't want to spend a ton of money, here's where you start.

1. You can breed dragons at the Nesting Grounds. It takes 6 days of incubation for eggs to hatch.
2. You can purchase dragons from other users in the Auction House or Dragons for Sale.
3. You can adopt or win dragons from Raffles & Giveaways.
3. You can trade an old dragon for a new dragon in Dragon Trading
4. You can open an Unhatched Egg (will only hatch into Fae, Mirror, Guardian, or Tundra).
- Eggs can be bought from the Auction House.
- Eggs can be rarely obtained through the Scavenging under Gather Items
- Eggs can rarely be obtained through Coliseum (any venue and any monster).

As for breed change scrolls... Most stock in the Marketplace. The Marketplace restocks random items every 5 minutes and clears every 2 hours. Bogsneak breedchange scrolls have to be brewed at Baldwin's. Nocturne Breedchange scrolls can only be obtained during Night of the Nocturne in December. Wildclaw breedchange scrolls only stock in the marketplace for a couple weeks a year. Banescale breedchange scrolls are still getting bought up ridiculously quickly from the Marketplace and sold at a huge markup in the Auction House..

@FliptheFrog thank you so much for the reminder one question how do I get eggs?

@TheBratPrince

Welcome back! Other players covered your original question, but check out the Chronological Update Reference! It should get you up to speed on all the new stuff you've missed.

Most importantly, if you need to know where something is obtained, they've added a handy in-game database! Now you can look up almost any item and find out where you can find them. Eggs can be found in the "Other" section, so try looking up "unhatched egg" and see where each kind can be obtained!
