Hi! I haven't played since spring 2018! I basically remember how the game works and everything, but I'm more curious what the BIG changes/additions I should know about during the past two years in your opinion. I noticed some new dragons.... what do people think of them? Gaoler snatched my heart up. Which are rare, which aren't? If I'm asking dumb questions, feel free to ignore - I'm also attempting my own research and will hopefully clear things up on my own quickly.

Oh, also, I noticed offhand in some random forum post somebody said "FR Staff, bring back imp scrolls" - are they gone? What does this mean?

Here's the chronological update guide, that should cover everything. But a lot of the big updates are, as you said the new dragons. The lair update is pretty huge since you can now sort your dragons much easier and separate them via tabs, and there's a game database for all items now! In the trading post you'll see a couple new plots, those being Roundsey, Galore and Fiona. Roundsey is a raffle that happens every week (winners drawn on Wednesdays), Galore hands out free items when staff wants too (for special events and such) and Fiona will give you recolors or pre-existing familiars for bonding with them, and let you bond with a variety of other familiars you may not have in your bestiary. There's been plenty of other things like new genes and apparel sets, as well as apparel revamps. Achievements are gone, currently, due to the site recode going on.

As for the two new breed, those are called 'Ancients' and are a way for staff to release breeds quicker without the hassle of doing every gene and apparel on them. So due to that, Ancients can only breed with their own breed (Gaoler/Gaoler and Banescale/Banescale), have their own unique set of genes, some of which break the lineart rule! And they cannot wear apparel, but can wear skins/accents.

Imp Scrolls have always been 'gone', more or less, they were only given out to Kickstarter backers when the site first launched!

as for imp scrolls, those were only ever released as a kickstarter item, so nobody knows how many exist now (if any still exist at all)
when it comes to what dragons are considered 'rare' right now, probably some swirl/marble dragons, but that's a completely different question then what is considered 'valuable' and it's much harder to answer in comparison

@SkyBlaze oh great, thank you so much! I do remember that about the kickstarter item now... there's so much to remember haha. I read through some of the updates already (learned about ancient dragons!!), but thank you so much for this link - I'll check out all the updates I missed.

@Doomy thank you sooooo much for all this info!! I just looked at a random profile and saw the sorted dragon tabs and I nearly sh*t myself. SO EXCITING!! I have to read through this guide now, thank youuu.

One question, what do you mean when you say "game database for all items now"?

Under the Library section on the left side of the page, there is a link for the Game Database. There you can see all the items on the site, as well as where to obtain them and what they are used, as well as color matching for apparel! Which you can also do in the Dressing Room, a big one I forgot the mention.

It also has info on enemies and coliseum stages~
