@Noipale Yup yup it's normal to have very similar offspring when the parents only have a small range.
Your first pair has a max range of 5 colours but with a basic tert you'll only see 4 colours different max.
The second pair has a small range too.

The reason your gened babies have a wider range is because there are more colours between the parents so you're going to get a bigger variety. It has nothing to do with them having genes or their age, just who the parents are.
