TOPIC | I want to start doing commissions? Help?
Hello! I'm a young artist, and when I say I draw a lot, I mean a LOT! I've been doing commissions here and there for a while, and I consider my art pretty good! I would like to set up a commission shop here on flight rising for treasure and gems, as I really, really want a veilspun. I mean, have you seen them? But, I am not sure how best to code my shop, organize it, ect. to make it more appealing. I will be doing full bodies of dragons/characters in full color and shading, sketches, colores+shaded busts, and small gifs for people to use on their forums. Can anyone give me any sort of clue or tips to making a shop look nice? Thank you so much! :) Some examples of my art: WIPs I send will have watermark over them, and the image will ALWAYS have a water mark over it until the buyer pays. Anyone got any ideas?

The first thing I'd do is, if you're offering art of FR arts, to actually make examples that feature them. This will give people a better idea of what to expect when they commission you to draw their dragon.

There's a number of ways you can code your shop; really I think the most important thing to laying out your art examples with your defined prices so people know what costs what. I'd recommend having rules at the top, then examples, then prices and a form if you choose to use one.

You can browse some other shops to see common trends or find a layout that looks appealing enough! I'm an avid art buyer and layout doesn't tend to turn me away unless it is super disorganized. I've bought from shops that don't even use formatting, too, so I wouldn't worry too too much about it.
