TOPIC | do genes stay when breed changing

If I change a modern dragon with Wasp, Bee and Glimmer into an Obelisk, Will the genes stay the same ?? Or do they become basic ?

@HiddenGalaxy Yes, on modern dragons genes stay when they're breed changed. The only time you lose genes is if you turn a modern into an ancient, an ancient into a modern or an ancient into a different ancient.

@HiddenGalaxy

They will stay the same. Obelisks are a modern breed and since they can interbreed with all other modern breeds all their genes are the same.

They can wear apparel, too.

Edit: ninja'd p!

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.

Have you checked the Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in 5g?
yep! as long as the breed is still a modern one, the genes will stick. if you change an ancient breed into a modern breed, or the other way around, all genes get reset to basic.
