There are a group of us who have chatted together on Neopets for years. We moved here recently, some of us have been here for years, while others have just started and need a lot of help. Some of us are returning after a long hiatus and also need a lot of help.

So we wanted to make a place where we could share what we were doing, help each other, and also talk about RL things if we want to, a bit like a knitting circle where you're all just supporting each other and chatting as you go.

We made a thread under 'General Discussion' https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/gend/3064323/103 called 'Neopet Fan Dragons' so that other ex-Neopets players could also join us.

The thread got locked last night for being spam - since the moderator didn't even move the thread, just locked it, that implies there isn't a suitable place for it to go.

So where can we make our thread? Or are we really not allowed to have a place to chat? Is it the title that's the problem, because all of the content doesn't match the title (although we actually ARE discussing our fan dragons among other things).

@Spidergirl looks like it's the multiple topics in addition to deviating from the title. discussion regarding a specific topic is fine, but staying on topic for both the thread and the forum it's in is the key thing (ex. FR topics belong in respective forums like FR Discussion, Dragon Share, etc, not General). as Madarakita mentions, the thread was locked for "people randomly chatting without any actual theme/thread topic." if you want a space to just talk about whatever at any time, the best place would be somewhere offsite, such as Discord, which is intended for that purpose.

as a sidenote, the Help Center isn't really the place to get feedback on moderation since this is mostly a user-help area, not easy access to staff or the mods. best we can do is just point you at existing rules pages. in addition, it's actually against site rules to discuss moderation in the forums (as has been mentioned several times by staff over the past couple days; see Dev Tracker). if you have an issue with thread moderation or just need clarification on why a thread was locked, you can either bring it up with the moderator over PM or send in a ticket through Contact Us.

What I wanted help with is where we can make the thread.

Seems that the answer is 'Nowhere'. Well that's a real shame.

A thread showing off Neopets fandragons would go in Dragon Share. A general chat thread is not allowed as per the rules for the forums.
