Hello tl:dr this is where you can barter for an egg (or three, or ten) and any other random weirdness that your heart may desire. This will be the fourth installment of "Unstable genetic experiments" and may result in your taking home (and hatching) an abomination as a result of a coliseum team's (unsupervised) mad science experiments. Pinglist added for Riot of Rot, let the insanity begin - I'll try to post twice a day, because the last couple of years it's been fairly high traffic in the week before Halloween! Current LAH on Noc and Boggy eggs is around 335 gems, 340-350 for elemental ones. There is a rainbowbeast (currently on the AH) at [s]6,666[/s] 4,999 gems (please take it before it trashes our lair!) and we also have vials of scattersight and piles of fest familiars and apparel from 2016 and later. Happy to take treasure at 1:1250 (maybe lower if you ask nicely), fest currency (any kind - 700 per egg) and trade other stuff at or near LAH. Bella had promised that she would only be a minute, and here was poor old Ginger eyeing a growing caravan of - well, [i]ODD[/i] dragons that seemed to be making their way to the backside of the lair. He could hear crashing from inside the laboratory as Bella clearly looked for things "with her claws". Ginger hoped that she wouldn't have to haggle. He was terrible at haggling. His clanmates still made fun of his "trade" of a jewelled pendant for a pile of beans. They were tasty beans... ___________________________ Bella was clearly troubled. "Where are they? I'm sure that I put them here, and the manual said that they needed to be aged in darkness for at least 6 months. So it's been six months, but they aren't here!" Muffin snuffled over, trailing sparks and a slight incandescence, and peered into the musty store room. "What's not here?" "The eggs! The eggs aren't here! There were at least three hundred, and a few of those scattery vials, and they're GONE!" wailed Bella Brew shuffled in, scattering a cascade of glassware and unrecognizable experimental materials across the laboratory floor "What's gone now?" She asked Muffin sneezed "Pchew! - the eggs that Bella says she was storing" Brew looked uneasy and shuffled from foot to foot to foot to foot "YOu may as well fess up, even Bella will figure it out eventually..." Crashes could be heard from the voluminous storage room as Bella started taking the shelving apart. "They have to be here somewhere!" Brew chewed on her claw tip. "Well, you remember how Bella said that we should pack stuff up, because we always end up moving right after Halloween?" "Yeeeeesssss..." said Muffin cautiously, flicking a shellbug off her nose "I kind of found a way to make that pile of eggs reaaaallly portable" Muffin looked (understandably) nervous "Not the wierd eggs with legs I hope" She shuddered "That was an unmitigated disaster!" A loud crunching noise could be heard from the storeroom as a section of wall gave way "I'm alright" coughed Bella, amid an odd mechanical whirring and clanking. "Rivet rivet" echoed from the room "I um traded them for a cog frog, cause they can walk and carry stuff..." Muffin Boggled at Brew "You realize that this year Halloween falls not only on the riot of rot, but also on a Blue Moon? Do you have any idea what kind of monstrosity eggs hatched on that day could turn into? Especially ones exposed to the kind of bizarre magical fields that Bella plays with EVERY SINGLE DAY?" Brew looked back with Crossed eyes "Ummm. No, not really, but we could just move the cauldron and check out the stash of eggs that Bella always hides there..." ____________________________________ So we have over 100 unstable genetic experiments (eggs) for sale, and it would be irresponsible for us to sell them on the open market - unless of course we can't sell them all by Halloween! I'd prefer to get something around LAH for these, but the auction house can't sell you an egg with backstory, and it's WAAAY more fun to have some Dragon haggling going on, particularly with the crazy exploits of the last few years. This is also my chance to give stuff away to people (particularly those folks who have maxed their cauldron levels under Bella's tutelage). If you can come up with a story and a thingie that you are trying to buy I'll do my best to play along! I have 50+ pages of apparel and familiars so if there's something you are looking for this may be the place to go looking! Any unsold eggs will be surreptitiously snuck into the auction housestarting at the Riot of Rot (Oct 25th) and mixed with the (presumably stable and less likely to be an evil abomination) eggs for sale there. I'll add the pinglist in a sec, but let the festivities (and chaos) begin!

Calling all brewers and past participants in trashing my lair Unstablle genetic experiments. I'll try to get all the eggs off by the 30th (Friday) since this is the first blue moon on halloween since the 1940's so I am expecting egg prices to be truly nutty - even (or perhaps especially)for "questionable" eggs. It wasn't until I was 30 minutes into the pinglist that I realized just how many folks have contributed to this over the years - thanks everyone!

I know that @liteweacer will be awarding two "sheet ghost" grams to the folks that they think post the spookiest entries, and I think that I'll let them award the first 10 or so baldwin material explosions too (some prepaid "witches brew" grams). This is a great idea, so you should use their thread to send a cool "hello" to your friends

If you are in this list, then you need to figure out if you are asking nicely, or just sneaking into the lab and outright stealing an egg. This is my annual "thank you" to all the folks who have worked exceptionally hard on levelling thier cauldrons.

Ginger, who wasn't entirely sure what he was agreeing to when Bella asked him to "mind the stand while we get things set up" looks somewhat confused when he looks up at the coatl. Well that and the weird clanging and bashing about" He looks around furtively and notices a number of bands of very... disreputable sorts heading in the direction of the (now very much abused and repaired) lemonade stand. "Errm, could you hold onto this while I get Cielo, since she's sure to know what these are worth" She presses a towel into Moonflowers claws and trips over a cage containing a number of skittering creatures (which promptly escape) "Oh dear" (Hey @Ellapinky - check your PMs for a towel and some random other stuff) "Was there something in particular you were looking to purchase?"

Ginger, clearly looking completely out of his depth sigs in relief as he sees Brew and Muffin approaching, with an odd creature tottering back and forth behind them towing... A little red wagon full of eggs? Muffin reaches the stand, panting slightly, her stormclaws leaving a trail of sparks on the ground as she passes (and causing a number of creatures to dive for cover) [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/35321609][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/353217/35321609_350.png[/img][/url] *Huff* *Huff* "We got some eggs here" *Huff* *Huff* "just out of the workshop" Moonflower notices that a number of the eggs in the little red wagon seem to be moving? she rubs here eyes and sees one sprout a pair of eggs and hop out of the wagon, tottering in her general direction. Ignis, somewhat baffled by the... odd collection of dragons and other creatures approaching the stand is distracted and does not notice the tiny refugee. Muffin continues talking, having (somewhat) caught her breath "Just earth eggs, or did you want any other kinds? We have..." She looks around and Brew Rolls here eyes "...a bunch of eggs, like really a lot of eggs. How many eggs did you want?" Ginger blinks and pulls out a long scroll with hazardous markers and wards all over it "And does your clan have a" He looks down, clearly having trouble reading his scroll "Level 7 biocontainment facility?" Ignis takes a look at the little red wagon, and estimates that there are at least a dozen of each type of elemental egg, and an unknown number of bogsneak and nocturne eggs. They also seem to be a bit... Off. Like they have been stored in an alchemists workshop rather than a clan's nesting ground. @CaineCase and @Ellapinky back atcha :)

Ignis leans down to look at the odd eggs, and gets the uncomfortable impression that they are looking at him. One of the arcane eggs distorts strangely, almost as if it was blinking. Muffin bumbs into Ignis, distracting him again
"Which ones would you like? These ones seem fine, although this one seems a bit dry"
She brushes the one she indicated was "dry" and some of the stone-like crust flakes off into a cascade of sand
"I think that the Igneous ones are better than the sedimentary ones, but that might just be because I'm ingeous"
Ginger looks over, confused "Don't you mean ingenious?"
Brew reps him on the shoulder
"Nope, Muffin has *never been accused of any strain of brilliance."

Bella breezes in and spots Moonflower, a big grin breaking across her face - then she notices Petey and her enthusiasm cools somewhat.
The egg with eggs wobbles towards moonflower and bumps against her foot, spontaneously bubbling out other little growths like casters. and coming to a stop in the fine sand
"I really don't know why they do that, they seem to do these weird transmgorifications before settling into a specific type of egg. Baldwin's notes on it were very frustrating, and half burned. Brilliant, but terrible at reproducability..."
(@Ellapinky - what kind of egg do you think it will turn into? You have done a pile of brewing for me this year, and this is my event to give my brewers an egg. YOu can barter / haggle for more if you want, but this one's on me)
