That's usually the word that comes out of my mouth so far as I try to navigate the sight. xD

Anyways! Hello, and I am so glad to have this opportunity to join the Flight Rising community. I joined just now in June. It seems a little difficult at first, but I am sure that eventually it will all become easier to me. The lingo here is what keeps getting me, I think. Other than that, I love it!

I joined Arcane Flight. It seemed the most magical. I will be filling my lair full of mages of all flights! I can't wait to fill out my dragon bios, though it is taking quite some time. Have to get a feel for my dragon personalities. T^T

I am open for chatting! Tell me about yourself and what flight you joined and why!

@PencilFeather *is ecstatic to meet a fellow magelet* Welcome to FR! I'm also a newbie myself. Just trying to meet other newbies ^^ And I'm also a member of the Arcane Flight, so it's nice to meet a fellow magelet (I think that's what they're calling us? XD)

I mean, come on, gotta love magic~ Anyways, I guess as kind of an icebreaker, got any hobbies? I myself like to bake, play games (these online pet games are my kryptonite), and I occasionally dabble in art and writing (I'm a bit rusty though, it's been a while)

@lefraise *is equally excited to meet another magelet* And welcome to you, too! I have no clue what they call us, but that sounds about right! I like it either way. Definitely sounds better than newbie! :D Wow, learn something new every day on here, and it's only been two days for me!

Magic is definitely the best, and combine it with dragons? Perfect. Combo.

Ugh, PET GAMES are the best. I tried to get into Neopets, but....I don't know. Didn't grab me in. I stick mainly with Pokemon on the handheld consoles and now this dragon game (which will probably be the death of me. tbh :/ )

I love talking hobbies! I am an artist and currently I am learning digital artwork with a drawing tablet. Like....I literally just started to learn. It feels like a hobby to me because of it.

I love to write! I am no writer by any means, as I haven't actually posted anything or shown anyone my stuff, but I love to write, too! I try to write little things here and there to keep myself from forgetting all my english class lessons, but nothing big. When I saw that you can give your dragons bios, I jumped on that! It is a slow....sloooooow process.

(sorry...as you are probably learning, I am a little bit of a chatter. I'm just excited to meet a fellow new Arcane member!)

@PencilFeather don't worry about it, I'm quite the chatterbox myself XD I used to do digital art on a tablet, but honestly it can be such a pain XS most of the art I do now is in my notebook when I'm supposed to be paying attention to a class. Oops?? XD

I've tried my hand at quite a few pet games recently. I started getting into them again once finals week came last month. I find them relaxing and stress relieving. Out of al the ones I've tried, this ones by far my favorite- and I've only been on here for 2 days! By far the best community too. I love how open and welcoming everyone is ^^ Have you been to the Arcane forums yet? They've got like at least 20 boards purely dedicated to welcoming newbies. It's awesome~

Huh. I should work on profiles, but honestly, I kinda fell away from making OCs. Just didn't interest me anymore. Impromptu writing is my favorite, as strange as it sounds XD

I don't know what to say about me, but I do like listening to music, drawing, making edits, and playing FR and similar games. c: The flight I chose when I first joined is Light, as it describes my personality just about perfectly. x3

hahaha! No worries about that! When there is a lull at my workplace, I doodle, too. It helps to pass the time and keep me creative and drawing! I am....a little bit of a procrastinator and apathy is my enemy. This game will probably not help me at all with that. xD


I did look at the Arcane Forums! When I popped in there I was like "....woah". I had no clue where to go or which one to pick. Plus, I was still a little confused at the time about everything. An example would be when they are talking about dominance and stuff like that. I am still learning everything, and I didn't want to accidentally pop into a forum and join something that I later learned I don't want to be a part of, you know? I don't know if that explained everything....
But! Yes! The community has been very welcoming, and not just the Arcane flight!


Okay, so I have to know because you have peaked my interest, what exactly is impromptu writing? I am not a writer, as mentioned before, and this sounds interesting. :)


Oh! Yes! And books! Sorry! I just now thought about it. I love reading post-apocalyptic genres. That is relatively new (about a year now). Rot and Ruin is one of them, and this isn't a post-apocalypse drama, but I love it all the same, The Monstrumologist was a very good read for me. Deals a lot with the human psyche and fantastical monsters from different myths and legends. What are your favorite books to read?

@WillowPhoenix Than-*coughs out glitter* Thank you! For all the glitter. Is that a Light flight thing? Glitter throwing or just glitter? xD
And I am a part of the Arcane flight! If the banner of the Arcanist at the bottom of my forum posts is not a giveaway. I like the idea of magic and mages, so it just drew me in. The pink eyes were kind of a bonus.


I love listening to music! It helps me get my creative brain juices flowing (which sounds gross, but it's true) and helps me do my artwork. I can't say I have a specific taste in music, but I can say for certainty that I do not like Rap, R&B, heavy metal, and country. Everything else, I am game to listen to. What are your favorites?

As a fellow artist, I have to ask; traditional or digital or both? Which do you prefer?

Thank you for the links and the help! I am still new (no duh) and I kind of what to get a feel for the rules or guidelines that people have on here. Everywhere is different. Don't want to mess up the flow. :)

I'm the same way. Music helps me relax and all. :3 I'm not really picky as to having a genre, but like you, I don't really like Rap and R&B. I have an open mind to really anything else. c: But I suppose my favorite is probably instrumental. x3

Please tell me that you like listening to music scores from films. Because that would make my day! I love, above all else, listening to music from films. It definitely helps me to get into the zone. And, I know this may sound weird, it lets me watch the movie in my head all over again. Music in movies, for me, is a big helper in getting me to remember certain parts of a movie or just making it memorable all around.


I am just now getting into digital artwork! I just bought my tablet about two weeks ago (need to register it and download the drawing programs T^T) and if you know websites or advice on getting started in using one, I would appreciate it times a million. It feels daunting, but I am determined to learn!
