TOPIC | Oh hello
Hi! I'm Rayokie. I'm a 30 year old something looking for friends and this game thing is pretty cool so maybe I'll find friends? I've had like 3 beers so I'm feeling vaguely reckless. I like video games, crocheting, occasionally writing, I like reading although I haven't in ages? I'm a newbie bee keeper, I enjoy the beach and I enjoy fire pits. I am married with no kids but have 3 dogs. I'm a scorpio? I used to have a dead journal, which should date me even more than my age. :x Anywho, I don't know what I'm doing! Please adopt me! :D

Hey, I'm a beekeeper too! I also have a dog, she's a beagle mix named Princess. What are your dogs' names?

How many hives do you have? I only have one, although everyone tells me I should have two. :x If I don't totally screw up I'll get another next year. Do you use langstroth (sp)? I have a german shep/sight hound mix named Chloe (short for clover field monster because shes a tall awkward mess) a Corgi mix named Luna who is a rescue and a valley english bull dog named Reuben. They are all spoiled rotten.

I'm away from home right now so I hope my queen mated and returned home :x. I don't want to harass my psudo-bee mentor for a queen ;-;

Your dogs sound adorable <3

I don't actually own my hives, I'm part of a non-profit that has urban beekeeping and farming. Rn we have 4 hives (carniolan, italian, russian, and sakatraz). I'm really nervous about one of my queens too, the bees didn't seem to accept her at first and I haven't checked in a while to see if they released her. I use langstroth hives (10-frames), though I might start experimenting with other types next year, depending on how much honey we get. Good luck with your queen! I'll cross my fingers for her
