Hello!
I've decided to start this challenge: the [url=http://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/1936380]Breed Out The Ugly challenge[/url]. Wish me luck, because I am going to die.
This thread will be a chronicle of my progress in the challenge. I'll also be selling all reject hatchlings; ping or PM me to ask for one!
The rules of the challenge can be found in the original challenge thread (linked above). Essentially, I have to pick an ugly dragon, breed it, and then breed its hatchlings and its hatchlings' hatchlings and so on until I get a dragon pretty enough to keep. I'll be making a couple minor changes/limitations, though:
[list][*]All of my dragons for the challenge can only be Plentiful or Common breeds (fae, guardian, tundra, mirror, pearlcatcher, ridgeback, snapper, or spiral). This is partially to stop me from getting attached and partially to shorten how long this will take. I'll try to use mainly Plentiful.
[*]I'll choose the ugliest hatchling from each nest, not the youngest.
[*]Each mate must also be fairly ugly (I can't purposefully choose a pretty one), and must be from the first two pages of the AH.
[*]All breeding dragons must be triple-gened, no Basic.
[*]All parents must be XYZ.

I've found him a potential mate, but I'm mostly broke right now and will therefore be buying her tomorrow. Serves me right for searching for RTB dragons. Oh well.

"Blouf" sounds like the noise I made when I saw her. She's perfect. She should still be listed tomorrow, so I should be good to go once I play some Fairgrounds.

Meet Talon! She'll be Shouflai's mate for the first generation. I'm not a fan of her coloration and patterns, so she'll be great.
I'm out of nests right now, but I have one hatching tomorrow, so I'll breed them then.

I previewed the offspring and they're pretty awful. Bright colored Contour on grey Tiger is terrible.
I did get 4 eggs though, so I'll have lots of ugly to choose from!

Trilonyte - That pearlcatcher is very nice and that tundra actually isn't half bad. I'd consider them more properly if I actually had lair space, but I can't really afford to take in more dragons right now. Need to actually clear some space....
