So, you know the Extreme Patience Breeding Challenge? Well, I don't have extreme patience, and I think I'd get sick looking at the same dragons for such a long time. But I love the idea.
So, when my progens' nest of one egg (shame on you!) hatched, I thought I'd try a variation on it.
This is Myrna, my progens' first child:
I'm not a fan of his colors at all, and no scries I did have made me feel any better about them, so he's a perfect candidate for a breeding challenge.
And this is his mate, Leonie:
She's a wonderful Spiral (oh, I love Spirals). She has Speckle/Freckle/Underbelly.
If I was doing the Extreme Patience Challenge, their heir should be a Spiral with Speckle/Freckle/Underbelly as well. Since I'm playing by Weak Baby Rules For Impatient Babies (which I have just made up myself), that would still be ideal, but not necessary. Instead, the heir will be the hatchling with the most common genes and breed.
For example, if Myrna and Leonie have two eggs, and one is a Spiral with two basic genes and one common, and the other is a Fae with three common genes, the Fae would be the heir.
For the heir, I will choose a mate with breed and genes one rarity tier up. This means if the heir is a plentiful breed with Common/Basic/Common genes, the mate will be a common breed with Uncommon/Common/Uncommon genes. And so on, and so on...
The end goal is a rare dragon with all rare genes, however long that may take.
The spare hatchlings will be sold, because I only have so much lair space, but if you see one you like, don't hesitate to tell me! They'll be yours if you want.
