The Basics Now, I am sure most of the residents of this crazy site are aware of what a Legacy challenge is, so you have an idea of the basic rules. If not, fear not, for all will be explained! What makes a race different from a typical challenge? Not too much! Really it's almost the same concept, just with competition and perhaps some higher stakes. The only other difference is that the general rules may be a tad more lenient, for simplicities sake. Let's go through the basics then, shall we? Here are the rules to a good old Classic flavored race:

All participants start with a triple basic plentiful breed dragon, their Founder
Each Founder must have a triple common gene and common breed mate. (Not sure what qualifies? I like to use this guide!)
When the offspring hatch, pick the one with the most upgrades from basic to common. What you do with the excess hatchlings and the parents is up to you, but the more you sell/exalt for the better (10kt or above is recommended) Should you sell or exalt, record the amount and hold onto it. Put aside half of all money earned, and don't touch it.
Find a mate that has the next progressive upgrades (for example if the hatchling is a Basic/Current/Basic Spiral, the mate could be a Tapir/Morph/Underbelly Skydancer). The mate must be bought with the other half of the money obtained from selling or exalting excess dragons. No dipping into your normal funds with this!
Rinse and repeat until someone obtains a triple gen gene Coatl or Wildclaw. They win!
Once the decided number of winners (depends on the amount of people participating- if you only have 3, there would only be one winner, but if you have 7, you may have 1st, 2nd and 3rd places) have achieved the goal, the race is over!
Remember the money you set aside and put away? All of that money is pooled together and distributed to the winners! Makes the competition a little more compelling, no? [emoji=banescale winking size=1] At the same time, whatever excess funds not used to buy dragons go to you anyway!

hey ^_^ this looks really good! one thing though, maybe its better to set a limit of t/g to buy new dragons with and then put all of the exalt money into the prize pool? im honestly not too worried about the prize but i dont know how much would be left over if you just keep the leftovers from the exalting. it obviously depends on how much you would level them. also something i just thought about, what if you get wegged? then you wont be able to get money for a new dragon because you need to keep that one [emoji=guardian confused size=1] sorry for the ramble XD @InkedMyths

The buying mate thing is a good point. Perhaps a note to buy the cheapest mate you can? Or maybe a limit... perhaps a certain amount of money from each dragon exalted is put away and cannot be used at all? I'll think about how I want to reword that as I go absout my day.

As for if you get wegged, first of all how rude of RNG. Second of all, the money tends to accumulate over time, and once you're done with the parents you don't necessarily have to keep them. It may take some creativity, but so long as you don't get repeatedly wegged you should be okay!

Maybe we could make a rule to at least train a dragon to a certain level before exalting them, that'd make it easier maybe?
