Please allow us a couple more days to finish replying to everyone. We hope to have everything wrapped up and prizes/awards delivered by April 5th, but we will let you know if anything delays this.

We will provide two (2) scenarios a day, in which the player's dragon was just caught doing some very dastardly deed, like stealing the last cookie out of the cookie jar.

Your dragon must then lie to the dragon who caught them (the judge) and try to convince them of their innocence, or of their very good reason for such an act. Think of it as an improv sketch!

He is generally rather relaxed and casual about things, happy to share a joke or story with friends. He has little talent for spellcasting, yet still peddles a kind of magic of his own, through cards, cloth, smoke and mirrors. With the Mistral Jamboree coming up, and the Guildmaster’s attention turned to other matters, Rialren sees an opportunity to go out looking for a little... ‘fun’, as they would say. The Diplomat is currently away, and now it’s the Magician’s time to play. Cookie Jar Rialren looks at his claws in the cookie jar, and back at Wyrm. He coughs before smiling sheepishly, retracting his hands from the ransacked container. “Well, I suppose it’s rather ‘jarring’ to see this, but I can assure you that there’s a reasonable explanation for this.” He says, scratching the back of his head with his crumb-laden hands. The pink coatl appears to have recovered from the momentary embarrassment, leaning on the countertop as he speaks. “The Matron mentioned that the hatchlings were just getting too much sugar. She said she could hardly sleep with them bouncing and flying around. Just yesterday, she told me Junior tried to go looking for honey the old fashioned way. Poor kid couldn’t get enough of the sweet stuff, and now he’s in the infirmary. All day spent keeping them in line, and when they finally do settle down, they bombard her with questions. Her words, not mine.” “She said that she just couldn’t take it! Either someone else takes over, or we get rid of the sugar that’s keeping them awake. And you know how she’s one tough cookie.” Rialren shakes his head, shrugging his shoulders helplessly. “And well, it’d be a waste to just throw all the candies and cakes and brownies away, wouldn’t it? Might get one of the familiars sick if they ate it, and we all know what happens when the Gamekeeper gets angry. One loose lock, and there’ll be fur all over the place! So, we may as well eat them while we can.” Rialren slides up to Wyrm, and puts an arm around his shoulder. He breaks a bit off the cookie, and offers it to Wyrm. “Tell you what, since we need to get rid of all these sweets anyway, why don’t the both of us go for those cupcakes in the cupboard? It’s hardly a one-dragon job after all.” He tilts his hat with his other claw, and gives a mischievous smile. Crabs and Yarn “No, no, I’ve got this under control- ow!” Rialren winces as he pricks himself on the Hardshell’s claws. He blows on his claws, as he shakes it. He then turns to Wyrm, one claw still entangled in the stringy mess. “They were going to use these for the decorations, yeah? Well, I heard the organiser was a fair bit crabby. Said that things were ‘uninspired’ and ‘derivative’. The artist just seemed so harrowed by it! Thought I saw she was about to cry.” Rialren’s head feathers drooped, to really sell the sob story. His eyes wandered to where the crab was still crawling, poking at the ball of yarn. “So, I was thinking, if the organiser wasn’t going to be happy with anything a dragon could make, why not hand something to our crab friend here?” He continues, gesturing to the thoroughly-entangled crustacean. Noticing the crab’s claws get close to the thread, Rialren swats it away, trying to maintain a straight face. “I mostly just want to get some ideas to make my friend less glum. She seemed so out of it, without any inspiration. It’s really not like her to be so affected by this. I swear, I’ll keep an eye on the crab, and return the yarn unharmed before the day’s over.” The coatl gives his best innocent look to the Wildclaw. “I promise, I won’t be ‘stringing’ you along here. We’re cool?”

Bio: Though he serves as the Guild’s diplomat, Rialren finds the formality of the position boring, to say the least. He has a penchant for sleight of hand and mischief, playing a few pranks and tricks here and there to add some excitement to the hum-drum of daily life.

Cookie Jar

Rialren looks at his claws in the cookie jar, and back at Wyrm.

Her words, not mine.”

“She said that she just couldn’t take it!

Crabs and Yarn

“No, no, I’ve got this under control- ow!” Rialren winces as he ****** himself on the Hardshell’s claws.

I did the maths and I figured it out and its fair if I get all the cookies!” She puffed her feathers up with pride and pulled out a small sheet of parchment. She began drawing a diagram—though it looked more like a series of stick-figure dragons with and without cookies. “See, all of the other hatchlings have parents, right? And I don't! And that's not very fair. But, now if I have cookies and the other hatchlings don't have cookies. And that’s not fair too! They have something I don't have, and I have cookies and they don’t. But then, that's a problem for Future Navara to deal with, right? "And.... the thread is, um. Hm. Okay, so, there's a whole lot of this special thread right? And you have to cut yarn so many times when you tie it together to make stuff and um, do yarn things! And, y'see, the hardshells have their super sharp lil pincer claws! So I was thinking, maybe we could teach the harvest hardshells how to cut the yarn on their own, so that we don't have to do it! It'll make things so much better and faster, I swear. Besides, look at this little guy. He's cutting them so good, and he likes doing it! He’s having fun. C'mon Wyrm, you don't gotta be—" She paused, a mischievous and immature grin crossing her face.
