An obsidian imperial soared in the night sky, her glittering scales rendering her nearly invisible against the starry backdrop. Tears streaked down her face, but did not stay long, as they were flung into the night by the wind rushing by her snout. She knew she would never be able to forget the horrors she had just witnessed; her friends and family murdered in front of her, their blood soaking the royal purple carpets and golden tapestries. There had been no time to identify the attackers. The imperial assumed it had been one of the neighboring kingdoms. Her kingdom had never been on the best terms with any of them, although she could think of no reason in particular that would make one of them attack. Land, perhaps. Resources. Treasure. It made no difference to her.

The imperial glanced at the startlingly bright bogsneak flying to her left. His smooth, pink scales caused him to stand out in the darkness of the night. If the attackers pursued them, his coloring would surely be the reason. The imperial knew nothing about him, other than the fact that he worked in the palace. That didn't narrow it down at all. But despite not knowing the bogsneak, they were in the exact same situation. They were likely the only survivors of their kingdom, if the brutality with which the imerial's family was murdered was anything to go by. It was in their bests interests to stick together, at least for the time being.

As the night wore on, the imperial began to feel weary. Her wingbeats became intermittent, just barely enough to keep her aloft. The bogsneak was no different; the steady beat of his wings that had been the only sound reaching her ears were becoming farther apart and inconsistent. Angling her wings, the imperial made her descent towards a clearing in the dense forest below. She didn't need to look to know that the bogsneak would follow her.

Landing heavily on the tall grass, the imperial collapsed, exhaustion immediately overtaking her. She heard the bogsneak land in a similar manner somewhere near her, but she was too tired to so much as glance at him. Taking one last look at the stars before much-needed sleep stole her away, she had one thought in her mind.

I will avenge my people. No longer am I just Liana; I am now Queen Liana.

Introduction
4DfRBUJ.png
Welcome to A Royal Fodderlocke! I have been wanting to create my own spin on a fodderlocke for a while now, and I have finally done so. This fodderlocke is based off of squidragon's fodderlocke with many alterations made by myself. I will be continuing this challenge as long as I can, assuming I have enough lair space to do so. Anyways, let's get on with the set up, shall we?

Set-Up
  1. Now, this wouldn't be much of a royal fodderlocke without a monarch, now would it? Our first step is to buy a cheap adult dragon off the Auction House. To add a little twist on things, it's not going to just be the cheapest, but this dragon will have some sort of requirement. Perhaps a certain gene, breed, color, or flight. I will be using this generator that I have put together to determine what that requirement will be. In my case, I got constellation as my requirement. Additionally, the it will generate 3 personality traits for the monarch. The last part, regarding a job, can be ignored for the time being.
  2. Secondly, what's a requirement for a prosperous kingdom? The possibility for heirs, of course! Use the generator linked in the previous step to determine the requirements for the monarch's mate, otherwise known as the Royal Consort. Buy the cheapest adult dragon being sold for treasure on the Auction House that fits the requirement. In the case of multiple dragons being listed for the same price, take your pick, or use RNG to decide.
  3. Using the same generator as the previous two steps, generate yet another dragon. This dragon will be the dragon in charge of recruitment of new staff, otherwise known as the recruiter.
  4. Next, level your monarch and royal consort up to level 10. As the leaders of their kingdom, they must present their strength. Level the recruiter up to level 7.Upon completion of this step, you are ready to start!

Daily Events
Part One: Recruiting
  1. Use the Recruit Specifications generator to generate the requirement, traits, and job for your new recruit. Then, buy the cheapest adult dragon off the Auction House that fits the requirements.
  2. Level the recruit up to level 6.
  3. Use the Recruiting Success generator to see if your recruit meets the necessary requirements. If so, they will officially join the palace staff. If they fail, exalt them. Be aware that the monarch is very picky about their staff, so the chance for a recruit to be accepted on the first try is rather uncommon.
  4. Repeat these steps until a recruit is accepted.
Part Two: Coliseum
  1. Pick a coliseum venue to grind in until you complete the goal. Then, move on to the final step. If you are having trouble completing the goal, then you may move on to the final step once every dragon has leveled up once.
Part Three: Daily Event
  1. Use the Daily Event Generator to generate an event. You may have to re-generate the event if you do not meet the requirements for it.

And that's about all you need to know for this fodderlocke! If you have any suggestions for events, or just for the fodderlocke in general, feel free to shoot me a PM! If you'd like to try out a fodderlocke using my generators, then you can find the links to the generators down below:

Azra has a difficult time with lip-reading, and relies mostly on paper and pen to communicate with hearing dragons. He has a love for animals; currently, he has three cats, one dog, and four snakes. Since he was just a hatchling, Raja has always had a love for plants. Unfortunately, a life of taking care of plants was not the life his parents saw for him. They forced him to enlist in his kingdom's military, where he spent five years of his life as a soldier. Raja left his kingdom after those five years to pursue a job that would better fit his interests. His talons are permanently stained a shade of green- not due to lack of cleanliness, but because of the chlorophyll from the plants. Raja has a difficult time making decisions, and often sways between two options. He'll often make a pros and cons list to help him.

The Animal Caretaker: Azra
Azra was not born deaf; In fact, he was said to be a very noisy hatchling. When he was two years old, he contracted a disease that ultimately ended in him losing his hearing. It was just him and his mother, and although she worked multiple jobs to support them, she still took the time to learn sign language along with Azra. Azra has a difficult time with lip-reading, and relies mostly on paper and pen to communicate with hearing dragons. He has a love for animals; currently, he has three cats, one dog, and four snakes. Azra used to be a veterinarian, but decided to retire very early when he figured out that he couldn't deal with the emotional strain of having to put sick pets down.

The Construction Worker: Glitter

62363613p.png
With such a large, intimidating appearance, no one expects for Glitter to be his name. In his earlier years, Glitter was bullied for the sheer difference between his appearance and his name. It really got to him, and he began disliking his name. However, thanks to a friend, Glitter learned to love his name. She was a golden Imperial named Luminosi, and they were friends since they were hatchlings, Later in life they became mates. Tragically, an unknown, incurable illness took Luminosi's life. Glitter has focused only on his work ever since.
