I've kind of chosen an overall theme of 'blending with the natural environment'. As you'll be able to tell I a. had a lot of fun and b. gave them all a tiny bit of lore, just cause! Thanks for putting this together!
Razzmatazz: Gaoler Phantom/Facet/Opal
Razzmatazz lies in wait. Well, mostly, she lies.
Her
Phantom body covered in
Opal flecks blends in the background of her native Fire territory. As the light catches the
Facet of her wings and mane, drawing in her prey, it's too late for them to escape.
As a
Gaoler, she may not eat insects, but she boasts quite the collection, occasionally gifting them to clan mates with one logic only: 'It's not a bribe if it's about to go bad!'
Solstice: Wildclaw, Laced/Spinner/Capsule, Primal
Solstice was born the wrong way up. Or at least that's how the
Wildclaw likes to think about it, having long since learned to painstakingly climb the trees native to his Nature region and hang upside down.
His
Spinner wings are a first touch of colour, calming, soothing, nothing more to see here but the
Laced pattern mimicking clouds, above which the Sunset
Capsule aims to divert the creature whose attention he's caught from its first intention to the investigation of his
Primal eye.
Which just so happens to be close to his mouth.
He hasn't starved yet, but his inability to eat anything but meat is definitely not to his advantage...
Rhen: Spiral, Mosaic/Morph/Veined
Rhen is a slippery one.
A
Spiral born in fire, in perpetual movement, his
Mosaic body mimics the last moments of flames about to turn to ashes, an illusion he can convey by carefully folding his
Morph wings over himself, tying himself in knots in the process.
He does so following the
Veined patterns, simulating a trail of gunpowder before he erupts into... calls for help, he got stuck again...
Bram: Fae, Bar/Noxtide/Ringlets
Bram was born in the wrong element. He's been convinced of this pretty much from the start, being impeccably adapted to somewhere much, much more sandy than anywhere the Tidelord has been known to put together.
Closing his eyes until they are only a slit, the
Fae still watches intently. His
Bar body fades into rocky backgrounds, aided with
Ringlets in almost the same shade, the
Noxtide wings a warning and decoy all at once for creatures great and small that might want to dislodge him from where he lies in wait.
Insects abound, so far from home, yet he yearns for a puddle to freshen up.
Elegy: Ridgeback, Leopard/Hypnotic/Filigree, Multigaze
Elegy's strategy is simple. She wants seafood. She doesn't like water. If you can't bring Elegy to the seafood, that does tend to be in water, you bring the seafood... to a dragon that's worked pretty darn hard to look like some seafood-friendly environment (she's very friendly with her food, before she eats it).
As a
Ridgeback, the
Leopard spots and
Hypnotic current-like patterns she wears are meant to mimic marine environments, with some
Filigree flourish in case someone fancies some coral to hide under (her mouth, for example).
The
many eyes are for making sure she doesn't miss anything. Some people talk of brains, or brans, she prefers mussels.
Senca: Banescale, Metallic/Toxin/Stained
If you spot
Senca in one of the deepest tidepools known to dragonkind, you're lucky. Unlike 99.99% of others, you'll get a glimpse, a terrifying sight, of the cause of your doom.
The water has long since inflicted a
Stained coloration to this
Banescale, her
Metallic body only barely shimmering, the
Toxin-tainted wings the only real warning signs of the kind of death you've plunged to.
Good lu-
Conrad: Gaoler, Metallic/Sludge/Koi
Conrad is a magnificent, fearless, fearsome... Conrad, nO. (Conrad, yes!)
Conrad was, you see, born in a bit of a puddle. And his idea is that, in order to *think* like a puddle, you have to... jump around in them, the muddier the better.
Here he is as an
Obelisk, with fancy
Metallic, the
Sludge he arose from still adorning his wings and mane, and I don't need to explain the
Koi, do I *hands Conrad some tissues, whispering 'Conrad, Please, I just mopped that floor!'*
Notes: if you win one of the dragons and like part or the whole of the lore I've given them here feel free to adopt it! I had fun assembling this bunch!
(PS: I scried them all but am not actually interested in Razzmatazz, just didn't want to leave her out!)
