[size=4][i]unprompted interim: relationship chart[/i][/size] Just for the heck of it, here’s a very messy relationship chart, scrawled hastily on my iPad and definitely not awkwardly-cropped or anything. Skiptrace is an old fart who’s seen (or at least hypothetically could have encountered) every dragon in my den. [*]Those two have trained Mallow, who’s friends with Astraeus. [*]Miami has maybe met Mallow and/or Astraeus? Not sure. [*]Miami and Cabochon are founders of this ranshack of a resort, which in-lore hasn’t been named yet. Miami also knows Fissure somehow; Fissure could be an entertainer for the place. (Although he has some shady connections that could get them in trouble down the line… assuming he doesn’t get yeeted to the den on completion, which is plausible. We’ll see.) [*]”emoclaw” (has [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dgen/dressing-room/dragon?did=61738246&skin=39212&apparel=32978,32990,38287,32974,32992,15715,15755,15747&xt=dressing.png]an outfit[/url] in bio) is another worker; don’t quite know her story but she’s probably not super thrilled about this arrangement [s]yet[/s], just trying to make ends meet. [*]The inn’s current guests include Koirin, who’s searching for Midst (a denned perma, linking back to Skiptrace); Badru, who for now is simply vibin; and Axius, who’s hypothetically a traveler but I have Plans[sup]TM[/sup] and so I think he will be staying for a very long time. Maybe not long enough to be a denn’d perma, but long enough to have [i]some[/i] Impact on how this lore round plays out ;V [*]And last but not least, Seafoam and Chondrite are friends, but I’m not too sure how they link to the rest yet. Could be guests later, could tie ‘em to Mallow, it is a mystery for now![/list] In other news, I have no impulse control and scrawled up a long-term plan for, uhm, Axius’ character arc. This is going to be for [i]finishing[/i] things I said, not starting giant new sagas I said,

Surviving the Scarred Wasteland all alone is no easy task, nor is traveling from lair to lair in search of a place to call home. But on the other hand… [b]weakness:[/b] Aimless, passive. “But what?” you say, “Aren’t those traits incompatible?” Yes and no! Y’see, I don’t care as much for adjective lists as I do exploring both sides of a trait—bravery can be foolhardiness in the wrong circumstances, and vice versa. Despite Axius’ search for a home, they don’t actually know what home [i]means[/i]. They’ve never had one; how could they? They’re kinda hoping they’ll just wander in somewhere someday and be overwhelmed by this feeling of Completeness. But since that hasn’t happened yet, they’ve had an easier time figuring out what they [i]don’t[/i] like—cozy little spaces, bustling epicenters. And that’s not even counting the months spent in the hub… [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/50385938][img]https://i.imgur.com/UewHi0P.png[/img][/url] Switching gears, Burin is a random G1 I picked up from the fodder pile ages ago, didn’t do anything with, and then one day I discovered Trail+Peacock on female Ridgebacks looks cool so I scried her as a female Ridgeback and [i]bam[/i] keeper. The only thing keeping her in the lore tab is that something about the markings reminded me of stained glass, so she was named and tasked with being a metalworker. I know literally nothing else about her yet :D So let’s fix that. She has no real connection with any other dragons; I loosely associate her with [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/57992771]Cygnus[/url] because they were in the lair around the same time, but nothing’s defined. So let’s say Burin is [b]dedicated[/b] to her craft—to a fault. Not [i]in[/i]capable of relaxing (I love how serenely MaybeHuman drew her), but glasswork is hard; one lapse of attention and your work is shattered. She’s got to work carefully for long hours, and that’s not exactly conductive to keeping up friendships (besides any “npc” coworkers she might have, ig). …In other news, I never noticed ridgeback thumbs are Like That, good lord. But I never strictly follow in-game appearances anyway; she used to be a mirror, and so if I were to draw her, I’d shave those down to a more reasonable length. As a treat. [size=4][i]unprompted interim 2: update boogaloo[/i][/size] Skiptrace was on the front page, and it occurred to me I keep seeing people save the nice things others have said about their dragons in the bios so maybe I will follow suit! Searching the forums would be an exercise in futility at this point since the results cut off at about 1,000 (and that’s what the ID searchlink is for, at any rate), but I saved what profile comments I could. Kinda ugly, but gets the job done. Shame it only goes back to July 25, 2018 :,T ----- [color=#9e988a]~14:50[/color] Instructions were unclear, wanted to just do Burin's whole bio while I was at it but ended up overhauling my personal drago-tracker spreadsheet. It’s not currently public because it’s ugly as sin and only really useful to me, but I guess if this is the kind of thing people would be interested in using I could toss out a share link? I’ve been alternating between she/they/he, roughly in that order and switching it up whenever I run into pronoun confusion (y’know, the perpetual “she (personA) held her (personB) hand” problem). You can stay over there, in the Hibiscus Wing! (There are no other wings.) [*]Cabochon asks Axius what brings him here; Axius asks what [i]usually[/i] brings dragons here. The other current guests, Koirin and Badru, give the tl;dr of their own journeys: Koirin’s looking for a distant relative; Badru’s family all left recently, and he’s looking for a new purpose of his own. [*]Axius relents and gives her own tl;dr, about just traveling in search of a place she can fit in. She’s not sure why she said that. The item itself reminds me of Ghost, who only has notes written but in the current layout. Ghost, then: legit wares, doesn’t care for what others think (for better and for worse), likes to mess with people on purpose. If you need some super rare herb, they’re your guy, but only those who’ve taken a risk on their services can attest to their legitimacy. It’s… yeah, it’s exactly the same info as before, except now it looks better. One paragraph feels a tad meager, but I’m more likely to read others’ bios if they’re short (or something else about the dragon’s lore hooked me) and she doesn’t have much lore besides this to begin with. Can’t you see that those mages are always on edge, especially around Nature dragons? You were reminded of how far from home you were and started to whimper. A gleam of sympathy caught in the blue imperial’s eye; he flopped down and mock-died, wrestling imaginary tangles and calling the mighty gods for help, because obviously a green-eyed dragon like yourself was so dangerous. It made you laugh, and from then on you were brothers.[/size][/font][/indent][/columns] (P.S. I don’t actually have any [s]embarrassing[/s] adorable baby pictures of Mallow saved, I just recreated that using predict morphology and overlaying it with a baby veil avatar. Whoa, there! You got some seriously pretty dragons! Raizel is an absolute stunner... with an attitude, huh? I like her a whole lot. (And does that name have anything to do with demons?)

And Ghost is definitely interesting as well. M-hmm... where do those herbs come from? And, more importantly, do they sell any they really shouldn´t be selling? If so, they might get a few new customers. ;) At least one of my dragons can brew up a mean poison, but she definitely doesn´t want to get her claws dirty picking her own nightshade, thank you very much.
