The young mirror’s almost-too-late arrival and his rushed attempt at completing the entry form felt like yesterday to Soulseye. His heart racing, he glances at his teammates; a formidable wildclaw, an elegant skydancer and a mystical nocturne. He feels both admiration but also a bit intimidated! Will he be up to the task? The blow of the horn snaps him out of his thoughts. Go! Go! Go! The mirror stampetedes out, keeping a close eye on the team’s orb. Perhaps a bit too much, as he fails to see a small rock in the path and tramples over himself, his hind legs losing the touch of the ground, and performing an unexpected cartwheel! His landing seems to be softened by the presence of another dragon, but among the frenzy he’s not too sure what happened. Unexpectedly, his slapstick-like mishap may have helped him. Soulseye stands back up on his legs, and realizes he’s a few spaces ahead, as well as the glowing orb and teammates. [b]Soulseye readies himself and attempts to assist his fellow teammates[/b], as well as issuing warnings about trippable rocks along the path. (@Jelllitan @Prescott @Askurasaki I think the mirror’s Pack pride ability would be a good pick for the start! Thoughts?)

Her tent was a bit ruffled from staying in the same place for more than a week, and as soon as Brightbert uttered his first half of a word, she almost charged over the starting line. When she heard the horn, she shot out like a bullet onto the course. She took good pace, her well trained and strong body keeping up fairly well with the rest of the opponents. She silently glanced around at the opponents, taking in the various opponents. "Oh this is gonna be the best fun I've had since venturing to the Spiral Keep!"

That, and he wasn't entirely certain as to how talkative his team members may be. He knew from experience with his own clan that some preferred limited communication. His concentration was broken as one of his teammates collapsed into another dragon. "Soulseye! Are you okay?" He wasn't sure if his call reached the mirror, who was already some spaces away from his reach. (@BrutusCourt @Jelllitan @AskurasakiNice to meet you all! I like the idea of the mirror ability being used to get us started).

I agree that the thread would likely get messy and confusing. I replied to a PM from Starefaba a moment ago, stating my opinion on what to do. I'd be happy to message everyone what I said.

A suggestion I would make: to avoid confusion about submitting our team's vote, I suggest we have the dragon we vote on make the submission that day so we avoid multiple submissions. Of course, this would be after our discussion concludes. Alternatively, we nominate one player to submit the vote each day before rollover.

She had never done anything like this as a group before, preferring to rely on what she knew; her individual strengths and weaknesses. But how could she possibly say no to a cheery Coatl, especially when they were covered in adorable little animals? She just couldn't, that's how. Things only got better when she met her others teammates: a very stylish Spiral [i]also[/i] covered in cats--her own calico immediately perked up with curiosity--and a large, looming Imperial. With a team like this, there was no way this wouldn't be fun! Djalkava was so occupied cooing over the orange tabby on Carreño's body next to her (who, in her defense, was currently in an extremely cute cycle of chasing their long tail and vigorously grooming it whenever they finally caught it) that she almost missed the loud horn that sounded, marking the started of the race. She let out a soft squeak and dashed forwards, eager to prove herself to her team--and her team to the referees! Oh, right, there were these cool scrolls they were allowed to use! With a bit more effort, Djalkava caught up to Euglena, who was clearly giving it her all, judging by her battle cry (was she getting rusty in her Coatl dialect or had she really shouted, 'castle clowder crowd'? Well, she supposed it did roll off the tongue rather nicely!), and stuck with her more reasonable pace--it wouldn't do to spend all her energy in the first few minutes. She tilted her head when the Coatl suggested she use her incantation, and nodded. She seemed to have a good idea of how the race worked, and since it was Djalkava's first time, she'd gladly learn from the other dragon. @Magmish @Salixian @Eialyne We can discuss on the thing Magmish made or create a discord for quicker communication?
