A string of brightly-colored lanterns strung up on tall poles illuminates a section of the festival grounds that seems...very quiet compared to the rest of the hustle and bustle of the Sornieth New Year festivities. Several shallow nests have been scratched into the earth, each one filled with a clutch of glowing eggs. In the center, sitting at a booth and sorting through scrolls with a little Shining Goblin, is a yellow Nocturne dressed in jaunty shades of red, gold, and blue.
A sign hanging from the string of lanterns reads "The Lucky Egg Guessing Game." Curious, you decide to get some information from the Nocturne who is obviously in charge of this event.
As you pass each of the nests, you notice that there's a sign set up right in front of it, showing off little drawings of the parents and a series of colors that you assume must be the range of colors that the hatchlings could show.
When you get close enough to the Nocturne, she looks up, grinning widely, and bounds over to you. "[b]Auspicious greetings, friend, and a most happy Sornieth New Year to you! Welcome to the Lucky Egg Guessing Game! My name is Indra, and I am the host of this event. You may not know it, but every year, the dragons hatched from these very nests are the most lucky dragons in all of Sornieth![/b]" She makes a sweeping gesture with a paw to all of the nests in the area. "[b]These dragons, born during the Year of the Golden Bantam Fangar, are destined to bring fortune in friendships and relationships with other clans, and will bring good omens and luck to your clan for as long as they reside there![/b]"
You must have seemed excited, because Indra only seemed more cheerful, and clapped her paws together. "[b]Now, this is a game of luck! To have a chance at winning a dragon from one of these most serendipitous nests, you must guess the colors of the hatchlings that will emerge from the eggs! If fortune is on your side and the dragon hatches with the colors that you guess, that dragon and its blessings will come home with you! That's it![/b]"
The sound of her goblin familiar falling backwards and bringing a scroll down with it in a flutter of parchment made Indra perk up and whirl around. If the nests you've chosen each have four eggs in them, you are allowed to guess for all four eggs in each nest, but you cannot guess for every single nest. You are, of course, welcome to guess for fewer nests if that's your inclination. Note that your guesses can be spread across tiers (one Easy nest, one Medium nest, one Hard nest, one Very Hard nest), or all confined to one tier, or any combination thereof (two Easy and two Medium, or whatever).
