Dress it like a carrot, paint it green with orange spots, turn it into a moonwalk-dancing dodo ... That's fine! (and funny). But don't expect to receive any more dragons if you exalt or sell them right away. We check on them from time to time at the beginning. [b]How do I adopt?[/b] [LIST=1] [*]Check the dragons which are listed below. Are the ones you want really still available? [u]Did someone else already ask for them in a proper request?[/u] Not listed dragons are off limits. [*] Check if the person you request from has individual rules like a limit per day (a chatbox at the top of their section) [*] Ping the current owner with @Name (example: @Pinguin) [*] Make clear which dragons by providing the ID, Link or a linked picture (linked = picture bbcoded to redirect to the dragon) [u]The name alone or an unlinked picture is not enough[/u] [*] In case the dragon is still unnamed [u]include a name[/u] (letters only, no spaces, between 3 and 16 characters) [*] Please write your request in a full sentence and be nice :) [/LIST] No we won't decide which dragon you should take. - Meaning we don't work with "this or that" or "any of them". No we won't use the name randomiser for you. No we won't send a dragon without a name. No we're not obliged to rename a dragon if you dislike the current one. [b]Scrolls of renaming are very cheap.[/b] Example for a short and still good adoption-request: ""Hi, @Pinguin! I would like to adopt #32977436 and name her CouchPotato! We have two kinds of pinglists: General pinglist - you get a ping for every newly added dragon after each update Breed pinglists - you get a ping for newly added dragons of the breed you subscribed to and nothing more. You can add yourself to more than one of course. [b]What about pinglists for specific flock members?[/b] Nope, they turned out to be useless and were removed quickly. [b]Are there Pinglist-privileges?[/b] No there aren't. Usually the first to make a proper request gets the dragon! [size=5][b]Who can adopt and what can be listed?[/b][/size] [b]The dragons are for free?[/b] Yes! But please, only ask for the ones listed here. We always appreciate tips to covers some of the expenses of course :) [b]Can everybody adopt?[/b] Yes. Newbies and oldies are welcomed to adopt them equally ;) [b]What dragons can we expect? Is there a list of breeding pairs somewhere?[/b] You can expect all kinds of breeds, colors, genes etc. Many members are entered in this [url=https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hCt-mvkRrbpMcdoMXDOsMf7OOVCF21SMG-LeAfL5K0Q/edit?usp=sharing]Google Spreadsheet[/url]. When will the next batch come?[/b] Our scheduled update time is around [u]12 am FR time[/u]. That's a convenient time for all of us regarding different time zones. [b]I adopted a dragon a while ago but can't keep it in my lair anymore. What should I do with it?[/b] (lost interest/stopped playing/conflicting with lore/etc.) You can do as you wish. Though we would prefer if the dragon gets re-homed in a non-profit fashion. You can also ask the one you adopt it from if they want to take it back (and relisting it here). You can also guest-list them here yourself. Further down you will find more information about the guest listing procedure. [size=5][b]About requests[/b][/size] [b]A sentence? Why names? Don't you simply want them gone?[/b] If we only want to get rid of them as fast as possible we would exalt them right away instead of going through the trouble of listing them here. You don't need to write a 30-lines long story. Just put yourselves in ours shoes, we put effort into matching mates and and assembling the pairs. Keep that in mind. [b]How fast do I have to respond? Can you hold them?[/b] The dragon(s) you asked for will be up for grabs again if we don't hear back from you for a few days without prior notice. You can still try asking us to hold them but don't take it as given. [b]I asked first! Why was the dragon sent to someone else?[/b] That could have various reasons: [LIST] [*] They didn't notice, maybe you pinged the wrong person? [*] Your request was incomplete. Did someone else sent a complete request after you? Writing an incomplete request doesn't add your claim on the dragon. [*] The dragon was not available anymore. Somebody else requested first or it was sold since some flocklings put their dragons in the AH simultaneously. [/LIST] [b]I asked for dragon, the listing vanished but it didn't move lairs yet. What happened?[/b] That's simply because I (Pinguin) live in a different timezone than most flock members since I'm from Germany. I usually take off a dragon from the list when I see a proper request so people don't ask for it through several pages. The flock member you requested from will get back to you with either the dragon or the reason why it was not possible. Just be patient.
