Rumours of a baker from Water were rife even among the clans most distant from the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Dragons who ventured to take part in the Wavecrest Saturnalia returned with tales of crisp pastries and steaming cookies that would rival even the best bakers of Fire Flight. Of course, rumours are known for being twisted and overblown...
As you arrive at your destination, one thing you did not expect to see was... a giant boat? Do dragons even need boats?
This one seemed to to be lacking sails, although it did have masts. Perches for dragons, perhaps? That wasn't the strangest thing, though. The ship seemed to be almost nestled within the waves. There's water magic at play here, surely.
Your stomach rumbles, beckoning you inside...
Hello, my darlings, and welcome!
I'm Kyuth, Progen and Matriarch of DracoCharky's clan. I love the Wavecrest Saturnalia, and for the last few years, I've run a little bakery around the festival- apparently, my goodies are quite a hit! I know there have been some... rumours... about missing Tidelords and such things, but I promise there's nothing to worry about.
I'm here with some supplies to help out those exploring... There are plenty of snacks for everyone, seafarer or otherwise!
As always, we have four different types of treat for you to try, so there's something for everyone. And as usual, the money we raise will go towards a little giveaway at the end of the week- but more about that later...
Of course, we aren't just selling normal snacks- there is a twist! Each day, one randomly selected type of pastry comes with the special bonus of winning you some tickets for our WaveSat Raffles!
Go ahead and have a look, and let me know if there's something you'd like... There might even be a surprise in store at the end of the week for some for you!
Of course, first up we have everyone's favourite Finnamon Roll! Famous across sornieth, these Fish flavoured goodies are packed with flavour that would impress even the Tidelord himself . I'm always working to refine the recipe - they're tastier and more beautiful than ever!
Maybe one day they'll be good enough to bring dad back home...
Next, we have a simple but tasty Plum and Raisin cookie! A crunchy biscuit mixed with plump fruity morsels, just bursting with flavour. A lovely sweet treat for the plant eater in your life... or just for yourself!
Or perhaps you'd like a Hotfrog Roll? Crisp frog legs in fluffy pastry, and an excellent protein boost for you meat eaters!
Finally, we have the small but mighty Seagazy Pieball. Made with the freshest and crunchiest of insects, and in a handy foil tray. Great for bug eaters.
Have a look around, my dear, and see what takes your fancy...
How to play:
There are four different types of biscuit available at Kyuth's stall.
Each day, one (randomly selected) type of cookie will win anyone who purchased it a ticket to the main Wavesat Raffle.
Each biscuit costs 10t; you can only have one per day- we don't want to run out!
To make this event manageable, I'll only be accepting entries which have your cake choice and flight in the title of a PM to me, in the following format:
and with 10t attached. The content of the message doesn't matter!
So for example, I might write:
This is really important. If you don't use the format, I almost certainly won't accept your entry.*
At the end of the week, I'm also going to be doing my own special draw, which I affectionately know as the post-raffle raffle. Any cake purchased over the course of the week puts you in with a chance of winning Some extra prizes; I'll go into more detail about that in the post below.
Have fun, and Happy Wavesat!
Previous winning cakes:
Sunday: Finnamon Roll
Monday: Finnamon Roll
Tuesday: Hotfrog Roll
Wednesday: Plum and Raisin Cookie
Thursday: Finnamon Roll
Friday: Hot Frog Roll
Saturday: seagazy pieball
Sorry, but I just haven't got the time to individually reply to every winner- just trust me, if you've picked the winning cake and sent me the message right, your win has been counted!
* A note from charky:
I don't want to sound nasty about this, but this event can get really popular. I get the entries into my spreadsheet by copying them from the message titles and find-replacing a bunch of info. If you don't use the format, it won't paste into the spreadsheet correctly. I have a full time job, and I'm very much still working, but I won't let that stop the event! I just need a little help from you all to do it. I simply have not got time to copy information from within individual messages. I do read the messages, and I'm more than happy to reply to messages you send in character- I can always make time for people who are enthusiastic, just not people who are lazy and don't read the rules. Every year I get dozens of messages just titled 'cookie', and it really grinds my gears that people can't even read the rules.
