The flowers glowing softly around you attract much more positive attention, being less immediately painful as they are.
You were just wondering if you might be able to take some back to your lair with you when you wander upon a brightly-colored fae at a sales booth, surrounded by floating plants.

He introduces himself as Tomarr, and he's trying to clear out some overgrowth by selling it off. Trouble is his brother came along and set it all to levitating. He'll sell you however many plants you want, but you've got to catch them first.
