Location: Plauge, Shadow boarder. Plot: There is none, other than another dragon happens to find the cave where Zereth and Gildia make their Witch Doctor type potions and mini plauges, or another dragon spots either Zereth or Gildia searching for new materials for their stuff. Any takers?

@Emberblazescale i'd be happy to roleplay with you! i don't have much to contribute in the way of plot but after some interaction something might come up i guess! if its alright with you i'd like to join with this girl: she's often sent out of her clan's territory in order to find new and interesting objects/stories for her clanmates to research back home. does that sound good? if it would be more convenient for her to be a loner that works also

How long had it been since she'd ventured near the Tangled Wood? The last time she'd been in the area it had seemed much larger than what she saw now. Though, Shyrza supposed part of the reason for this was that she wasn't quite literally inside Shadow territory. The Skydancer hadn't quite grown that much. It would have been absurd to send a mere hatchling to travel across the lands and retrieve artifacts. If anything the action was filled with more murderous intent than simple curiosity.

No, her task as an explorer had been given to her but a few years ago. Her clan would provide her with a list of items or rumors they'd heard and request that she investigate and bring back objects that they might be able to research and learn more about. They reminded her that her safety came first and would never be upset if she returned with nothing at all so long as she returned in one piece. Shryza's eyes softened at the memory, though she'd never admit to any of them just how pleasant it was to hear such words.

That was then, this is now. If she was going to collect fungus samples from the Tangled Woods, she'd have get moving soon. No matter how often she traveled through the Scarred Wasteland it was always an exhausting and nerve wracking experience. The barren lands filled to the brim with illness and vicious monstrosities created by said illness were always quite the problem. For the time being it would be smart to take a break and rest before continuing.

Without wanting to lose any more time, Shryza spread her wings, her mulberry feathers shimmering even in the toxic air of the Plaguebringer's borders. The Skydancer had figured that flying would give her a better look at her surroundings and she'd be able to find shelter faster, however, it seemed that wouldn't be necessary. Carefully, Shyrza folded her wings once more and took a few inquisitive steps towards what appeared to be a cavern. It was certainly big enough to accommodate her, but it would be reckless to wander in. The cave was spacious, and it would be more surprising for it to not be hosting some sort of large creature by now.

What it really came down to was whether or not she'd be willing to fight it, or them. If worse came to worse she could easily fly out of danger. She was much faster in the air than she was on land. Her abilities as a warrior were lacking, but her mage skills were enough to protect her from harm...usually.

But here she was again, wasting time. Intending to not waste anymore she stepped inside, head high and alert.

Hmm.. It's 4 Am I better go to bed... But first... Let me breed my dragons.
@Scarytier Thanks! They happen to be some of my less randomly dressed dragons XD I'm actually hoping to gene both of them soon, there some of my earliest dragons and would look good with some patterns.

@ZombieDreamer Yes you certainly may! Your dragons are very pretty by the way. I saw you labled Remming as a shaman, do you want to say that Rem(if I may call him that) has heard of Zereth? Not by name or breed or where he lived but more of rumors of a witch doctor on the Shadow/Plague boarder? It would give you someplace to start.

The cave the young skydancer entered began with a half rotted animal pelt hanging as a makeshift door on the caves entrance. It was a sickly greenish brown and in the center the symbol for the plague flight was painted in a red substance, probably blood, but it had begun to fade due to age, and almost looked a greenish red against the hide. Once it was pushed aside, a simple flick of an arm would do, and the interior of the cave would be revealed.

It was absolutely gut wrenching. The cave walls were the same pinkish color as plague nests, the same texture and feel as well if someone were to touch it. Where vines would be on a cave in almost any other flight territory, this one had intestine looking things hanging from the ceiling and clinging to the walls. Speaking of walls, several shelves lined them, some cut into alcoves and others jutting out. They were filled with bottles, jars, and other odd containers. Some were made of metal, some of bone, and some of glass. These Jars also were lined against the back walls of the main alcove, and some hung from the ceiling tied there with some sort of sinewy material. These jars were filled with various liquids or other substances, even other dragon parts, and all plugged with a cork stopper. The area was dimly lit, most of the light coming from what natural light filtered in from the entrance. A little came from some of the jars hanging from the ceiling, as some were filled with a glowing substance.

In the middle there was a rather large metal cauldron. Not large enough to make it hard to move around in, but just big enough that it could probably fit three larger fae's. A fire was lit under it, which caused the rest of the room to feel warm, hotter the closer one got to the cauldron. Inside it was almost filled to the top, a rather rotten stench floated from it and it was currently a strange pinkish green color. To top the rather macabre look of the place, several skulls and bones littered the floor, some of prey species, and others of other dragon species.

At the back of the room was another opening to a dark tunnel, which if one got close, smelled worse than the main room, like multiple of the plaugebringers contagions mixed into one vial place. It would not be recommended to go down that path just yet. By the looks of the place it seemed like the resident dragon was home, but how big they were or what breed was yet to be seen.

There wasn't a shadow of a doubt in Shyrza's mind that this was a Plague lair. She'd never been to one herself, but even without the Plague symbol openly displayed in the entrance, the overall fascination with death that the inside seemed to express was clue enough. That being said, there was no reason to return outdoors now. There were multiple containers in the room and they seemed interesting enough that she wanted to request taking one or two back with her.

Attentive to her surroundings, the coal scaled Skydancer continued to pry here and there. She wouldn't wander any further into the lair, it would be beyond moronic to invade without knowing what sort of Plague clan this was. By the looks of it, one that was very highly interested in magic. The fumes the Plague lands were known for were just as strong further inside as they were at the core of the territory. As an Arcane dragon her immune system wouldn't be strong enough to protect her from fatal diseases.

The cauldron in the center of the room piqued her interest, and she made a metal note to ask about it should her "hosts" be willing to house her for a night or so. Judging by the skulls that decorated the ground it was likely she'd have to make a quick retreat once they met properly. Shyrza let out a quiet, "Hmph" and proceeded to take in the cave. It probably helped that she a calm dragon by nature, and one with a rather lacking sense of fear.

Her only real problem with the place was the terrible smell. The Skydancer could certainly do without that,"I'm aware that I am intruding, so I will not say that I didn't mean to. I'd like to speak with you if that seems agreeable of course."

Time to find out what she was dealing with she supposed. It wouldn't do to stand around and wait to be noticed, if anything that'd most certainly decrease her chances of being able to stay here.

@Scarytier Is it Rose or Ghoul? I couldn't help but be nosy and look at the scrying workshop and they would both look gorgeous as iri/shim. Personally I want Zereth to end up Tiger/Shim and for Gildia to be Ripple/shim (one of my few dragons who can successfully pull it off actually) And thanks!

Also just a warning, my posts may or may not shrink after my first one. I'm more known for monster openers and then my posts gradually get shorter as a rp picks up pace, just letting you know now before you think I'm getting lazy.

Meanwhile, deep within the cave past that passage at the end of the main alcove, someone stirred. The plague dragon had been sorting his jars of finished poisons, plagues, and other rather sinister brews. He raised his head from browsing through the labels on his jars and picked one up, setting it into the bag on his side in case this encounter went south. Ears flat against his skull he began the walk back to the main alcove. Early on he was able to pick up the dragoness's scent. Skydancer, female, Arcane flight. he thought, cataloging the information in his mind. He eventually reached the entrance to the main alcove and revealed himself to the smaller skydancer.

The dragon in question was a Tundra, 3.19 meters long with a 3.59 meter wingspan he certainly seemed to dwarf the skydancer. His main fur color was a bright green, with denim colored tail tip, mane, and wing membranes, his summer coat. He was clad in brown birdskull ornaments, the mask that covered his face also sporting a set of ebony antlers. A crown of bones sat on top of that, with the plague emblem shining above his forehead and the infectionist's armband on his right leg. His mask, while hiding everything else, let his bright red eyes identifying him as a plague dragon shone through. The bag he had slung over his shoulder looked to be of the same material as the skin hanging in front of the door, only in slightly better condition. His whole look was topped off by the fact that his fur looked slimy, almost mimicking the walls of the cave, he had obviously lived hear a while. Looking at the Skydancer with narrowed eyes he spoke.

"What business does the Arcanedancer have with a witch doctor of the Plaugemother?" he asked in a hollow, raspy tone. He always called dragons a mixture of their flight and breed if he didn't know their names. Waterimps, Plaguemir, Firecoats, any combination and he probably had used it before. He coughed, his stance one of a lazy confidence, yet, very unsettling, like he could just walk up to a corpse of a dragon and begin taking parts from it without a second thought about it, and judging by some of the things floating in the jars around him, he probably had.

ooc// im trying to gene up the Fae first and then Ghoul, it only seems fair since she was my first dragon :'D
and woww! Gildia is absolutely stunning with the ripple gene! nice choice! And don't worry about post length, mine tends to do whatever it wants depending on what my chars are trying to accomplish haaha!
____________________________________________________

It didn't take very long for the owner of the lair to respond, and as he emerged from the deeper recesses of the cavern she was actually surprised. She'd suspected Plague, but it had somehow never crossed her mine that the owner might be a Tundra. She'd never personally met or even seen one, all she had to go on were encyclopedias and other such books. Despite being well read she had no experience with one and began to feel unease.

"I apologize for disturbing you in your own home. As you know I come from an Arcane clan and have traveled very far. I am an explorer of sorts, sent out by said clan to find all sorts of items and bring them back to them. Typically they use them to learn more about the culture of other flights and their environment. I've only just reached the edge of the Scarred Wasteland and would be much obliged if you would allow me to stay for a night. After that I'll make my way to Shadow territory and continue on my journey."

The scent of decay seemed to cling to the Tundra's coat, and though it made Shyrza want to gag, she kept a straight face and offered a polite smile. Her words were humble, but filled with a sort of regal air that made it clear she wasn't moronic or had any interest in picking a fight. She simply wanted a place to rest...and possibly some of those jars.

"Of course, if you'd like I can provide you with treasure in exchange for my stay. I must confess that this is my first dealing with a Plague clan. If there is a certain type of currency that would be preferable I'd be more than happy to arrange something."

She added, curious about the other's response. Shyrza had no intention of going anywhere further into the cave regardless. She'd learned a spell that would protect her from most known Plague diseases but it only lasted so long and it only protected her from known illnesses. Going further was death for certain. No, she'd make it clear that if she's allowed to stay she'd stay here.
