This is an interest check to see if anyone would be interested in a roleplay taking place in Temeraire’s world but rather than being close to the books storyline the roleplay would either be set years before the Napoleonic Wars or during the Napoleonic Wars but in another location for the most part.
This is in part to allow people who haven’t read the books and are merely curious/interested in a early modern setting with dragons in them and also to allow players more freedom when it comes to dragon breeds as they could possibly make up their own if needed as apart from France and Britain the other European nations don’t seem to have a very detailed list of dragon breeds.
As far as setting goes, feel free to propose some, but here are some ideas that I think could be interesting to play with.

-Thirty Years War
-French Revolution
-American Revolution
-Napoleonic Wars
Basic Summary of the Dragons
European Dragons in the Temeraire setting are usually assigned to an aviator, their future captain, at hatching and are part of a country’s military, often as a specific branch. Those human-raised dragons are separated in specific breeds. Feral dragons do exist but tend to be much smaller and live in very remote areas far away from humans. Even military dragons tend to be feared by most non-aviators and so dragon military bases are often isolated and that is where military dragons live.
Let us know which setting or timeline you would most prefer and feel free to propose any of your ideas! So far, many are interested in any setting or timeline.

Hmm there are so many things to choose from as there are many good areas in it and periods and the dragons just make it better
