Couriway was surprisingly busy considering that only a day or two ago, most of Kalos now laid dead. The trains weren't moving, so most people had gathered on one side of the town. Workers tried to keep refugees fed and secure--as the world fell apart, it was only logical people would flee away from the chaos, west to places like Anistar or Couriway.

Zayne pulled his jacket tighter around him, cold despite the reasonably warm temperature in the air. He was here. Couriway. Now what? Russell shuffled alongside him, ears pricked as she studied the bustling crowd as if anticipating disaster. The noise was already giving Zayne a headache and he squinted against the light as he continued making his way into the city.

"You feel that, Zayne?" Russell's voice echoed in his head. Though he could understand speech, it was still far more familiar to hear Russell's thoughts in his head than speak out loud. The only good thing that Team Flare had done to them.

"Yeah. There's a--a feeling. Something that says we belong here. Like we're finding someone or something. I think we need to go this way?" He replied mentally, before shifting his gaze away from his absol companion up the crowd of ahead of him. How was he even gonna try and find the---whatever it was, gut feeling, intuition, instinct--that was drawing him here? It wasn't like he had much in the way of direction beyond that thought he woke up with--Couriway.

"Are we there yet?" Flux muttered sleepily from Russell's back, the strange hybrid beast lifting her head blearily to look out at the crowds.

"Almost," Zayne responded as he finally moved to shove his way through the crowds. Even if he was skinny, he was tall and it wasn't hard to thread his way through, especially with Russell throwing her weight around to give them space as they tried to track down their...hunch.

Woongin stirred from the inner part of Couriway's nautical museum, letting out a grunt as he woke up. He used a shard of glass as a mirror, brushing his teeth before taming his eternally curly hair with a brush, and with an annoyed noise, putting on his prosthetic leg and getting up on his crutch. You know, it's not like we're headed anywhere else. Why not rest more? suggested the Kangashkan with him, casually packing the sleeping bags into her pouch and offering her owner a tapioca. Woongin accepted it and took a messy bite out of it, mumbling in between muffled munches that 'nowhere was safe in this god-forsaken dump of a region anyway'.

Kangashkan couldn't help but sigh as she followed her owner down the steps to the lower-lying region, Woongin eager to seek out some documents that could help that possibly counter that god thing that had landed them into this predicament. He wandered into the office, where a shelf was the only thing that remained largely unscathed before chucking file after file out of the door. "No...no...this isn't...there has to be...god, this is stupid...there needs to be...you have to have something here...screw this!" The escalation was swift as Woongin pulled out, entirely frustrated as Kangashkan helpfully replaced the files in a neat stack, and the man finally collapsed before the desk, clutching his head.

"I just wanted to live, man..." he groaned aloud, staring blankly ahead at the skies from the caved-in ceiling. Three days of being cooped in the nautical museum, despite the hunch, with all that he had, he had already turned the place upside down. To his utter frustration, he turned up just about nothing, not even files depicting the existence of whatever he had to search for. Kangashkan gently hugged her owner, knowing he needed someone to listen to him vent, before snapping to the side hearing something else. Don't quote me on this, but I think someone might be coming- she began but she was cut off by her owner letting out a childish scream of 'oh COME ON NOW, someone wants to fight me for this goddamned plate too?!' and fell once more into awkward silence.

I guess I'll go bolt the door, then. she suggested and Woongin, hanging his head, quickly dismissed her.

@dracoon @sasutin @lynaalee @Carnifex (I wasn't sure if your characters were in the same place, so i split them up for the moment so it didnt overload with four people suddenly meeting at once, can always change this if its not good for you guys)

Xanthia toyed with her prosthetic arm and leg, frowning as she stared blankly off into the distance. She could feel it.. the concentration of power.. it could only be a plate. She only knew because she'd found one once. Of course... she'd been knocked unconscious when she'd tried to go after it.. and when she woke up.. the plate was gone. This time.. this time she wouldn't lose.. she couldn't lose. Not if she ever wanted to see them again.

Xanthia swung her braid over her shoulder and behind her back, her blue eyes narrowed. She could feel the presence of other people here as well.. probably after the plate.. just like she was. So.. she'd have to hurt them to get what she needed. Especially if her hunch was right.. and if.. they were also touched by legendary pokemon themselves. Mew had warned her about the others...

Nova drifted beside Xanthia, her red eyes narrowed into slits. "Its there?"

Xanthia nodded slowly. Having Mew interested in her since birth, she was used to speaking to her pokemon, both mentally and out loud. She'd thought she was a mutant or something when she was the only one who could understand and speak to her pokemon. She'd been targeted by some less than kind people who only wanted to use her for her abilities.

Loki made a strange clattering noise to her left as it wiggled the key-like objects on its body. "Orders?" it stated in a monotone voice.

Xanthia smiled, her blue eyes glinting. "Lets have some fun."

Nova narrowed her eyes even further, her entire body glinted with darkness and her body flickered, before she faded from existence.

And Xanthia continued seemingly without her Gengar, Loki floating slowly behind her.

She heard a strange yelling and shouting. She raised an eyebrow and saw a fourty something year old man pouting, a Kangaskhan stomped through the room. Ah.. Kangaskhan. The last Kangaskhan she'd seen.. had been in a state similar to this. No baby in her pocket. Only this one wasn't in pain and screaming... this one seemed content.. well... as content as one could be in this situation.

Xanthia leaped up on the overturned cabinets, tilting her head childishly to the side. "Whatcha doing?" She chirped.

Talon glanced to Shuriken as the two wandered through the streets, He'd followed his instincts, and it had lead him here. His strange appearance was gathering attention from the few people who were wandering around. Tall, muscular, and tan, with the yellow tattoo-like markings down his back, glistening because of his lack of a shirt.

He ignored the glances in his direction and focused on his target. But.. then.. he was distracted.. as several different presences intervened on the target. They were the others.. the others like him, Rayquaza had warned him there would be others and that he would have to fight to preserve the balance of the world.

Shuriken and him just stared at each other, something unsaid passed between the two and they wandered towards the closest new presence. As he approached, the presence became more clear. It was strange.. a deep ethereal presence.. it was almost as if he could feel time starting to unravel. Talon narrowed his eyes... a lanky, thin boy, a few inches shorter than Talon himself, which was impressive, and dark, scruffy hair, with an old, battered coat. Following him might prove useful.. and entertaining.. since there was nothing important happening anywhere in this region.

"Sometimes i wish i had just moved to Sinnoh. Since its so far away from everything, i could just hide out... and bide my time." Talon sighed. "Sinnoh would be so easy to take over.. far away from all of this."

"And then you would die." Shuriken spoke, his eyes fixated on Talon. "Talon-ji.. i would not like to see you die."

"Noor i you, friend." Talon pat his Greninja on the back gently. "Now. Lets get the drop on him, shall we?"

Greninja bent over. "Certainly, Talon-ji." And the Greninja was off with a flash, Talon beside him. The two moved at the same speed at first, darting from their position and then closing in on the sides of the lanky young man who felt as if he was a part of time its self. A flicker of color and Shuriken was blocking the young man's pathway, Talon cracked his knuckles, muscles rippling as he stared down at the kid. "Pro or Anti human?" He asked loudly.

Shuriken planted his feet, looking very much the same as his trainer. The two were coordinated, in a way that it seemed they almost shared a brain. When one moved, the other compensated, creating a rather deadly sensation, almost as if they were not going to let the boy and his two pokemon escape. (one of which appeared to be a horrid mutation of some kind) However, they were clearly not aggressive at the moment... so it would have been clear that they meant no harm....

"I'm going to set you on fire, I really am."
"Relax, Cisco. It's not like this is the end of the world. Oh, wait." Dom glanced at the Houndoom and grinned. Cisco growled.
"Somebody's here - and now we lost the 'trail', just because you wanted to take a closer look at the waterfalls!"
"We'll find them," Dom said confidently, and didn't make a move to push away from the railing he was leaning against.
"We'd better! I really want to see what kind of people the other Legendaries have chosen," Cisco grumbled. "I just hope they're better qualified than you."
"Hey! And I hope their pokemon are better trained," Dom answered back. Cisco glared at him and his tail twitched very unhappily. Dom threw his hands up in the air.
"Fine! Let's go then."
"Finally," Cisco huffed and jumped eagerly on his feet.

They didn't have to walk for long before both of them could feel it again.
"I think somebody's close."
"Be ready," Dom warned. There were many people in the streets, and he wondered how on earth were they supposed to spot the right one. Would they just... know? Would they be recognized, too?
"I don't think we- oh, look!" Dom beckoned Cisco closer. The Greninja and the guy with him had appeared pretty much out of nowhere to harass the guy in a long coat.
"What's going on?" Cisco asked quietly.
"How should I know? Come on, let's get a bit to the side. I'm not sure if I want to get involved, but I want to see what happens."
The two of them kept walking, trying to look as disinterested as possible. Dom kept an eye on the situation, and Cisco was looking for a good place where they could stop and watch without being noticed right away.

"Go away," snapped the man to the little girl, barely pausing to question why she had even gotten here. The Kangashkan stood shielding her owner, spreading her arms wide to show that the girl was not allowed to pass any more. I'm sorry, you need to leave. This place is especially unsafe for children like you, and we're here for business. she stated, indicating to her Pokemon that this was not a playground. Woongin struggled to his feet, a sour expression visible on his face as he slowly hobbled away. "If things rain on you, I'm not responsible. I said it first, I'm bad with children," he continued grouchily, moving off and leaving the girl behind to check another unturned spot.

It didn't take long for a soft, low growling to catch Woongin's attention and he turned to Kangashkan worriedly. "Did you hear that?" he whispered to his Pokemon, and Kangashkan only nodded stiffly. His grip on the crutch tightened as he turned a slight glance behind to the girl, almost begging for her to leave the place- wild Pokémon frequented the museum, now that it was a hotbed for free food considering the aquarium's resources and the last thing he needed was a hurt child on his hands.

@Carnifex @Sasutin

"Hey, you. Shirtless lunkhead with the gross tongue scarf frog." came a shout from above Talon and the lanky boy, "How 'bout you quit rhetorics and pick on someone your own size, hmm?" A lady appeared, jumping off her Sawsbuck and wedging herself in between the tall, muscular and shirtless individual plus the lanky and easily-blown-away boy. She was, by no means, as tall as the shirtless man, but she was definitely a lot more sturdy than the boy and her eyes narrowed at the duo. Her grin was condescending as her hand reached to a baton inside her shirt. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way. First of all, usually people who are with Arceus are probably going to lie that they're against Arceus to gain your trust. Secondly, put a shirt on, nobody cares about your figure more than they care about my bra strap being out. Thirdly, scaring the shtick out of people ain't a good way to go about making allies." She paused, her eyes fixed on the man's gaze to indicate she was making a final, crucial point.

"Finally, I'm a black belt in jujitsu, and am legally allowed to carry a firearm. You may have brute strength, but I am one hundred sure if we went head to head, you're going to be on the floor with a couple of cracked ribs. Let's avoid that," She still grinned, and took another threatening step to stare Talon down, perfectly fearless. Mentally, her checklist ticked off two avatars- Rayquaza and Dialga, or some other time thing. Maybe Celebi, but considering that dense lunkhead just came out of nowhere... Pretending that she was just a human that was disgruntled by the outburst though, she continued to watch, daring Talon to even lay a finger on her.

Everything was happening at once.

There was a brief flash of alarm from Russell and Zayne reacted similarly as her vision of impeding trouble flashed in his head--someone big was coming for them. But he couldn't move away fast enough, only able to shift his position so that Russell could take a protective stance in front of him.

The absol snarled and bared her teeth, and Flux was wide awake now and had her hackles raised, the strange creature baring tiny, sharp needle teeth at the new comers.

"Anti human or pro human?" The words for a second meant very little to Zayne and he struggled to process them beyond his headache. And then someone else entered the fray, standing between him and the new stranger. In his gut he could tell these strangers were similar to him. The large man made Zayne think of Rayquaza, and the woman reminded him of Yveltal.

"Looks like we found what we were looking for. Sort of, anyways. Give me the word, and I'll tear that man's greninja into shreds." Russell snarled in Zayne's head, her fur fluffing up wrathfully.

Flux spoke out loud, lacking the mental link that Russell had with Zayne, "Come at me! I'll take you all on! No one is gonna hurt Zayne!" It was almost comical, hearing the young, squeaky voice coming from the small cat beast.

"Stop it. What the hell is going on?" Zayne demanded, his head pounding. "We start beating each other up and we're gonna have officials coming down on us before you can say a damn thing." Zayne pointed out. Already, some officers were looking up to notice the crowd, eyes peeled from directing refugees to watch the potential fight warily.

She turned on her heel, almost defiant, before spying the officers with a raised eyebrow. Her Sawsbuck dug in his hooves, lowering his horns as she raised a hand. "So? I have money. It's all they care about," she stated flippantly, making sure to enunciate 'money' with a sarcastic air, "Give them grease and I walk away a free woman. It always works, trust me, I would know." Though, she called off her Sawsbuck, turning to stare at the younger man with a slight, detached smirk. "You sure do look familiar. The Flare uniform...helps. Kind of. Pity that Lysandere's whatever-plan-he-had-for-Flare crashed and burnt faster than setting a can of kerosene ablaze. No puns intended." Pursing her lips, she tapped her chin a little, now that she was able to focus on the boy, she knew he probably was one of Flare's little 'pet projects'. Which one, she was neither interested or cared in the slightest, but kept this information to herself for now.

In the meantime, she extended a hand of greeting. "Yoori. The Sawsbuck is Atom. He's my- mine." Catching herself in time, her eyes flicked with a brief look of grief as she waited patiently for her gesture to be accepted. Her hoodie, short-sleeved as it was, revealed her needle scars easily- I'm an experiment like you, it almost seemed to say. Every move was calculated, knowing for sure that if she led him on like that, he might trust her more easily and maybe be stupid enough to lead her to the plates.

Zayne frowned at her off-handedness and then even flinched and looked comfortable when she mentioned the uniform, pulling his jacket tighter around himself, shifting his position. He had the posture of one who looked ready to bolt at any second, trapped and uncomfortable and wanting to leave as soon as humanly possible. He needed to get rid of this damn uniform, people would keep thinking he was part of that damn association when he wanted to forget about it as soon as possible.

"It's a good thing Team Flare was destroyed." Zayne said pointedly, managing to keep his voice even. "What they were doing to peo--what they were planning was terrible. They're the reason we're in this whole mess in the first place."

Russell still seemed unsure of what to make of Yoori, eyeing the human warily. Perhaps it was the fact she was associated with Yveltal--whatever it was, it was making the absol's disaster sense scream with alarm and concern that this stranger was dangerous and not yet trustworthy. Still, no point in alarming Zayne yet, and he'd be able to sense her unease anyways.

He seemed hesitant to do introductions yet, Russell's unease causing him to react similarly, making him shiver involuntarily. Besides, he still wanted to see what the other stranger was going to do. His gaze briefly flicked down to the needle scars--could've meant anything, and even if she was an experiment like him, he had met others like him who held gratitude to Team Flare. This meant nothing yet and he'd rather be cautious.

The chatty mutant on Russell's back, however, did not have the same hesitations. "I'm Flux, and this is Russell, and that's Zayne. And if you hurt Zayne I am going to have to hurt you." She stated seriously, still all fluffed up.

The crowd didn't seem to offer any good place from where Dom and Cisco could safely observe the situation, but then again, it wasn't really needed. Yet another person appeared, and Dom was fairly sure they were only concentrated on each other for now.

"Are we gonna approach them?" Cisco asked, sounding reluctant.
"I don't know," Dom muttered. For some reason, the woman made him feel uneasy. The shirtless dude hadn't seemed to be the friendliest guy around, either.
"Maybe we should just.. wait and see, for now. For once, y'know," Dom reckoned.
"Yeah, I gotta say I agree. But they're surely going to notice us if you keep staring at them like that," Cisco mumbled. Dom aimed a half-hearted kick in his direction, which Cisco dodged easily.
"Well keep walking, then. Apparently the avatars are kinda drawn together. I want to see whether there'll be more. If they keep appearing at this rate, we'll probably trip on one soon."
"Maybe you should walk with your eyes open or something, if you're worried about tripping over people."
"I swear that from now on, I'm only going to travel by water, so that you have to stay in your ball all the time, and Emmy can be out instead," Dom muttered, still glancing at the other avatars every now and then. He wondered whether they would sense him, too. He hoped they were too busy fighting with each other to notice him and Cisco.

Xanthia

Xanthia gave a cheery smile to the Kangaskhan, unfazed by its protective nature. Honestly, the Kangaskhan reminded her of Nova. "Its not safe here for adults either." she commented dryly. "Everything anywhere is my playground. If it wasn't, life would be so boring." She started to play with her braid absently. "Sometimes children are stronger than adults.. because they can see things others cannot. How else do you think Red defeated the pokemon league champion when he was ten?"

She narrowed her eyes slightly as the sound of growling caught her attention. A wild pokemon likely. Nothing she wasn't used to facing. She leaped down from her perch, landing rather gracefully, her prosthetic making a noticeable thunk on the ground. "Its fine if you are bad with children. I might be younger than you, but i can hardly be called a child anymore. I can handle myself, and i don't need you or anyone else to protect me."

"Orders?" Loki questioned in a monotone.

"Nothing yet, Loki. Lets wait a bit before they appear.. then we can have some fun." Xanthia responded. "You know, we share something in common. You were chosen, just like i was. Though it seems like you were chosen recently.. probably after the explosion. Lucky you."

Her eyes scanned the area as she searched for the source of the earlier growl. "So what exactly are you searching for anyways. The holy grail?"

Talon

Talon raised an eyebrow as he glanced to the woman. She radiated a strange darkness, a shadowed claw of negative energy. Hm, interesting. "I don't do shirts. They are constricting." he commented. "And.. how do you know that i'm not with Arceus myself searching for those who are Anti-human? One can't simply assume things on first glance. I am not going to hurt anyone... just asking a simple question. I see nothing wrong with that." he was remarkably calm, even when she spoke about her fighting and firearms. "I'm not legally allowed to own a firearm, but that never stopped me from keeping one. Not like the police could do anything about it anyways." He snorted. "And just so you know, making threats is not the way to make allies either, especially when they are threats that you can't follow through with."

He smiled at Zayne kindly. "All i did was ask a question. I don't see why you are being so aggressive." he chuckled. "I am Talon, this is Shuriken."

Shuriken nodded silently, a wary eye settled on the Pokemon around him. Likely, the Absol could mega evolve... and he'd never faced a creature such as the mutated thing perched on the back of the boy. And then there was the girl.. and her sawsbuck. Annoying, but easily dealt with if it came to that. It wouldn't though. Talon and him would both make sure there was no fight today, a fight would be such a waste of time for them all. Especially since it didn't matter if they were pro or Anti Human. Talon could use them either way.
