I knew this was a good place to let out some bottled up dragon muse so here it is. This is [u][b]NOT[/b][/u] however strictly FR. I will however make it strictly clear that the world is [i][b]original[/b][/i] unto itself as well as its lore. I wanted to bring something that was a taste of many of the things we like such as Eragon, Lord of the Rings, a touch of Elder Scrolls, some Spyro elements, ect. and a good dash of my own creative mind. So without further blabbing from me. Here it is in all its glory. Feel free to ping me or message me if you have any questions regarding the roleplay. Once wild, they were like the animals they had hunted. They had no sense of community or culture, nor did they possess any true language or special powers. At the threat of extinction of their kind completely, something had to change. Dragon lore tells of a story telling of the Dragon Gods falling for their children. Like a star shooting across the sky, the Dragon Gods had dropped to the earth. Their magic washed across the land like ocean waves over a sea. Today the dragons themselves will tell anyone willing to listen, that before the Gods saved them all, there truly was nothing. With the Dragon Gods came knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment; the things that would one day build modern dragon culture. With the Dragon Goddess came magic, virtues, and choice. Their combined efforts created the dragons of the first age. [b][size=6][font=Monotype Corsiva]THE THOUSAND YEAR WAR[/font][/size][/b] Centuries passed, and as their knowledge grew so did their experience of the known world. In came the second age. They met humans, elves, dwarves, fae, upright animals, and even halflings. Yet much like themselves, the new creatures of this world were savage and untamed. At first they enslaved their kind, seeing them as beings not much higher than dumb beasts. However, one day a revolt ensued, which snowballed a thousand year war between dragons and the other species. It eventually took a strong follower of the god and goddess to finally bring the heated war to an end. They saw these creatures more as a sign, a sign that they needed to help them, not fight their ignorance. So in the end, seeing it as a challenge from the gods themselves, the dragons took to teaching the then limited creatures of the realm. Tensions were still high, but things began to get better. Eventually the dragons were able to recede back into their territories once more to slowly be forgotten. [b][size=6][font=Monotype Corsiva]AGE OF DARKNESS[/font][/size][/b] The third age came when dragons were nothing more than legend, stories told to children as bedtime stories with a moral. The world had moved on without the great beasts there to teach them what they knew. They had become fluent in community, magic, and languages. Much like the dragons they had been given choice, yet there were some that decided to misuse that power, thus unleashing a terrible darkness on the land that no one, save for the dragons, could have foreseen. It had all but devastated the land and its inhabitants. The world’s only hope now was to fulfill a prophecy created by the wisest being of this age. Since then the prophecy has been lost, but its message by those who believed in it, was never forgotten. [b][size=6][font=Monotype Corsiva]RISE OF THE RIDER[/font][/size][/b] It is the now the four age. The world is left in ruin, ruled by a terrible mysterious darkness that plagues the lands. The people are oppressed by an ever long shadow cast upon everything it touches. No king has set upon the realms throne since the fall of the third age. War is everywhere, and none of the species trusted each other enough to help one another in these dark times. It is now time for the prophecy to begin. The gods have spoken and fate has chosen a select few to make this journey. It’s time for the chosen to hear the dragons call and take up arms against a foe that might destroy them all. Now was the time for the Riders to be born. Because of this depth of inner soul connection, they can connect best with dragons on a spiritual level. Humans live all over the realm. [b]Elves[/b] Elves next to dragons are one of the second races. They are known as the pointy eared people. Logic driven yet very traditional, they can be sort of difficult to work with. They are a fate driven race. Because of this depth of intellectual connection, they can connect best with dragons on a knowledge level. Current known branches of elf are thus: Mountain, Woodland, Plains, Swamp, Volcanic, Jungle, and Desert. [b]Halflings[/b] Halflings are the short cousin race of the elves. They are known as the hovel people. Curiosity driven yet very traditional, they can be sort of difficult to work with. They are a hard work driven race. Because of this depth of curiosity connection, they can connect best with dragons on an adventure level. One thing to note about them is they can be quite a timid race of short folk, yet if provoke can be very feisty. Halflings live in a little place called the Glenn, a little shire like place tucked away in a valley. Halflings, many like dwarfs, are not as likely to be seen outside their homes. [b]Fae[/b] Fae, also known as fairies, is the other human sized second race as cousins to the elves. They are known as the winged people. Creative driven yet very childlike, they can be difficult to work with. They are a magic driven race. Because of this depth of magic connection, they can connect best with dragons on an elemental level. Fae traditionally live in courts designated to what they do. These courts are Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring, Beast (also known as spirit), Arcane (also known as astral), Light, and Dark. [b]Dwarves[/b] Dwarves are the third oldest and second shortest race after elf and fae. They are known as the underground people. Power driven yet very homely, they can be only sort of difficult to work with. They are a wealth driven race. Because of this depth of value connection, they can connect best with dragons on a status level. It is rare to see a dwarf outside the underground, but the rare adventurer might be. Most also don’t like heights, but there’s always chance for an odd ball or two. Their home likes deep under the known mountains. [b]Animari[/b] Animari are the fourth race after dwarves. They are known as the upright beast people. Their forms are mostly animal with the exception of having humanish hands so that they may be able to grasp things such as swords and or other items. Clan driven yet very structured, they can be not very difficult to work with. They are a family driven race. Because of this depth of loyalty connection, they can connect best with dragons on a virtue level. There are many sup species of Animari. Examples of such are: Wolves, Pumas, Bears, Birds, Snakes, Rodents, ect.[/quote] [size=3][b]AGING[/b][/size] [quote] A quick note about aging. Elves and Fae are deemed nearly immortal and can live very long lives. That being said, a fae or elf that is lets say 23 years old will look no different than a fae or elf that is 123 years old or even 423 years old and so on. Dwarves, Halflings, and Animari too live a long time. However, they do not live as long as per say elves or fae. There are rare flukes however. Humans on the other hand, unless they have been bonded with a dragon, do not live any longer than a normal life expectancy. Magic born humans though, can live up to 500 years max without the help of dragon magic or other forms of magic to assist them from aging. All creatures physically age in human years until they hit about 20 (human years), then their physical features slow down greatly. This has been a survival mechanism of the people of Eldervale for centuries. So any lore you take of Earth will not make sense for Eldervale.[/i][/b] Dragons of Eldervale practically have been around since the world was formed. As stated above, they were brutish unintelligent folks before the dawn of Ages. Also before the Ages began dragons used to, KEY WORD USED TO, only age the length of a human (100 years!). All creatures did before the Ages. However, when the Goddess fell, along with their powers they gained longevity. Over time this too was blessed to other creatures, by the gods to protect them, but the dragons had the highest command over it. Because of this new knowledge and new lease on life, their biology adapted. The first generation aged slowly, but this led to much war and too many dying on both sides of the battlefield. Their children had to be able to survive. The heavens hearing their creations plea, answered it with the adaption of accelerated growth , so that the dragons would grow much quicker as young hatchlings and slow when they reached the age of human maturity. Other races were given this as well to make things fair. But this is the reason why aging is so awkward, and not the way one would think it should be for dragons, or other. Dragons come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Most live in clans with a leader to reside as head. However, for the sake an purpose of the dragons who will become guardians to the realm have no such fate really. [b]The Chosen[/b] are the group of dragons in this tale that have been chosen as eggs or hatchlings to serve and train in the mighty halls of Aurixzen under the watchful eye of Icarus and its stewards. There is one main throne that usually governs over all of Eldervale, which has not be sat in since the third age by any human. The Seven Regions themselves have been torn by war and are barely recognizable aside from its remaining human lord stewards that own their own region. [size=3][b]TEMPLE OF AURIXZEN[/b][/size] The temple of Aurixzen (R-ricks-zen) is what will become known as the home base for the guardians of the realm. Located in deep in the mountains in an area known as High Cliff, the chosen have a safe haven from the dark forces actively trying to seek them out. While here, riders will learn to be the guardians they were destined to be. They can morph and minic anyone or anything (such as animals). In their natural form they look like black whisps of a smokey nature at their weakest or demonic looking beings at their strongest. They like the darkness was brought into this world via a rift made from magic. THE CHOSEN

The Chosen are the dragons hand picked by Icarus. Their ages are between 13-29. They have been raised and trained in Aurixzen to prepare for the day their riders arrive. These dragons will meet their riders at Aurixzen.

(These elements, even though they have all flights included, have no reflection on FR’s lore, as they are only dependent of this roleplay. More element slots might be added later depending on interest. Neither your character nor the dragon you chose has to be of your clan or of the dragon’s flight element. It’s a chance for all, both you as the player with your character and dragons you choose to play pretend together. Also it is not required that you used an FR dragon as your characters choice dragon. The only rule is there can only be one person /w character and dragon per element so that way other players have a chance to participate.)

Though she appears slender, her body is well toned throughout and because of that she is able to pull her own weight if the need arises. Her face is more oval in appearance, with a delicately pointed chin. She has long straight white hair that reaches down to her mid back. It is usually not tied up and ends up everywhere, occasionally she will pull it back in a braid. Her hair parts right in the middle and fall on either side of her face. The hairs at the front are shorter (and when she pulls her hair back, these are the ones that are always loose, framing her face) and as you move back they get longer, with the longest strands meeting in the middle. Her eyes are a deep teal colour with golden flecks. Her skin is fair with just a small hint of colour from the sun. Clothing wise she is usually seen in a green tunic that extends just past her hip, with dark brown almost black pants. The tunic has some embroidery on it, mostly found around her neckline and around the bottom of the tunic. She wears a golden like belt around her waist that anchors her sword in place. The belt is carved in the shape of a dragon with the front claws hooking onto the tail to lock it in place. It has lost most of its original lustre and shine as she's worn it so many times. She wears brown leather ankle height boots with some gold coloured trimming around the top. [b]Personality:[/b] Leta is a very energetic bubbly elf, sometimes even getting into trouble over it. She does try her best in every subject and found herself excelling in archery and with a light sword. She is a shy soul. Making new friends is a bit harder for her to do and most of the times she pushes herself into the background around people she does not know very well, trying to avoid confrontation. Though once you get to know her she is a very pleasant person to be around and fiercely loyal. She can also be a very impatient person. She doesn't like waiting for a long time for someone or something to happen, she is very much an in the moment kind of elf. [b]History:[/b] Leta was born into a family of four (making her the fifth addition) as the youngest child of Sachi and Atero. When she was older her mother, Sachi, told her how overjoyed she was at finally having a daughter. Both her older siblings were boys and followed their father around a lot more than their mother. Her father, Atero, was extremely protective of her, mostly because he was not use to not rough housing with his children. With this in mind he was also not to enthusiastic when Leta asked to be taught archery. As typical older brothers go Arkady (the oldest) and Mikolaj (the middle) mocked and teased her at her futile attempts at archery most of the time. They had their moments when alone with their sister, instead of mocking they would give her pointers which slowly made her better at the task and almost on par with them. Now because she remembered the fit her father made and how many times he tried to push her away from weaponry, learning to fight with a light sword was done outside her families knowledge. She even kept the secret from her brothers as she didn't trust them to keep it. Around came her eighteenth birthday. A big celebration was thrown with her own family inviting more family and even extended family she did not even know about. Though she was ecstatic at receiving many gifts (as anyone is), the cheek pinching was something she could live without. It was during the party that she fell quiet, as she felt something tugging on her to leave. She ignored the feeling and continued on trying to be herself, but the knot twisting in her stomach started to become unbearable and she ended up retiring earlier then she would like. The next few following days made her miserable as she attempted to ignore the pull and move on with life. It wasn't until she finally snapped at her brothers that her parents took her aside and asked her what was going on. Of learning about the tugging feeling her parents took her to see older, wiser elves in their town. Their answer? To leave and follow the feeling. Her father refused to let her go, saying that even the older elves were crazy now, but with much persuasion on her mothers part she was given her fathers blessing to leave, with both her parents hoping of her return. At times he may be quite, gathering his thoughts to be able to give something of value back into the conversation. Though he tries hard not to show it he does enjoy to just relax and have fun every once and a while, even if it's just spreading his wings and soaring around. Though Calix is calm the majority of the time, given the right reasons (and maybe a push in the right direction) he can become aggressive and very defensive of both his friends and his rider. It takes a lot to get him to that kind of state (as he likes to put it) but then again he hasn't had a rider to protect yet. [b]History:[/b] Calix was born in the temple and doesn't know much of the outside world except what he was able to read in books. He was told his egg was a royal blue colour with yellow weaved into it that seemed to glimmer when the sun hit it. This intrigued him as a dragonet, especially the part of it glimmering but wasn't able to save a piece of it so his first attempt of having treasure to himself ended up a failure. He was a lot more curious as a dragonet then what he is now. He was always trying to fly out of the safe haven and see the world but each plan was throttled by Icarus. His enthusiasm to see the outside world was then redirected at books, it took a while but soon enough he became more hooked on the books than with his attempts at flying out, with each passing year they dwindled down to none. He enjoyed his time alone as much as he enjoyed his time with the other dragonets that were in the temple and their were quite a few of them. The Animari showed them great hospitality and compassion, caring for the travellers in their last days. Before she died, Eira pleaded with a deer Animari by the name of Lyssa to raise her daughter in her place. Lyssa agreed and Brenna was taken into their care. Lyssa and her partner Samson raised Brenna as their own, teaching her the ways of the Animari and giving her a new loving family. During childhood, Brenna’s long legs and pointed ears gave her the nickname “Fawn”, which the Animari still affectionately call her by. She was always accepted by the members of the Animari village she grew up in, and she has great appreciation for them. At the age of 15, Brenna was given an apprenticeship with an Animari healer and elder. Shyk, as the wolf Animari was known, commenced his lessons with the young elf and by the time she was 18, Brenna had learned to make even the most intricate of potions, and she was constantly creating her own preparations and improvements for the recorded recipes. While she is smart enough to get by her examinations, she much rather prefers to use the skills she learns in unorthodox and mischievous ways, often getting her into trouble with Icarus and her fellow dragons. Freyja’s thoughts are scattered, but if she puts her mind to something she will do everything to achieve it. She is loyal and trusting, and is not afraid to tell her rider or anyone else how she feels about something. She has always loved the winter, and as a hatchling she would dig miles of tunnels through the snow with her long body. No matter what the season though, Freyja could always be found outdoors, climbing the walls of the temple and surrounding cliffs even before her wings had fully grown. When lessons began, it only meant less playtime for the spiral dragon, but she pushed through and soon found out that she could learn new skills and tricks from her tutors. While Freyja tolerates the lessons, she often daydreams about exploring Eldervale with her rider, and she cannot wait for that day to come. Her wings, however, are bigger than most others, giving her the advantage to fly a bit faster. Her arms and legs are thin, possessing bony, long fingers and thin toes. The Fae has shiny, straight hair that curls at the ends and drops down to her midsection. It is a blood-like shade of red. Her eyes are a ghostly gray, seemingly glowing in the dark. Her wings are shaped like a butterfly's, but, at the tips, hook down. They look like they are drooping, and are also ghostly gray with red tips. Zarath wears leather boots and a leather vest (matching her dragon's). Underneath her vest she has a tough fabric-made skirt. The dark green skirt goes down to her knees, the tips curling to match the curl her wings have (but curls up). Her skin is pale, but full of life. Because her father was an Animari, she is a bit of animari too. Serpent, in fact. There are small groups of scales on the back base of her neck, back of hands, and on her shoulder the color of the sea. Two of her teeth are fangs that have venom in them, mimicking a snake's. [b]Personality:[/b] Zarath is a gentle and graceful soul, liking peace and living beings and nature. She is easygoing to everyone, and as kind as kind can be. Being honest and caring is what makes most people enjoy being around her. She doesn't talk much, but wouldn't hesitate to go into triples of sentences at times. The Fae is a bit protective of her friends, and is cautious when doing something risky. However, it is hard to make her angry. Rarely is when she is angry. That doesn't mean Zarath doesn't have any emotion within! When the Fae is angry (yes, it can happen), she turns into a different person. She changes into something else. Zarath will possess anger and hatred in her gaze, but her facial expression would be like her life got sucked out of her. She'd look like a ghost, actually, with her brows only slightly furrowed. It's when she starts talking is what clashes with her look. Her voice is louder than normal, and has an aggressive tone to it. Best avoid this side, even if it's hard to get to. [b]History:[/b] Zarath was born to an Fae for a mother and an Animari for a father. She has several brothers and one sister. She was the youngest, and the only Fae in five of her family's generations. She was 'special,' some could say. At the oldest stood Karak, her downright mean hawk Animari brother. He loved to abuse his younger siblings mentally, with words at random times. Their parents weren't aware of this for some reason. The second eldest was Zarath's only sister, Marqua, another Fae. She was like a second mother when the young Fae was twelve and her mother passed away. Because of that event, everyone left the place and lived separately. Because she was six, Zarath chose to live with Marqua in a lush forest somewhere within Eldervale. Her sister found an abandoned wooden cottage and they settled there for a while. Life was nothing but awesome, peaceful. They lived for years and years. Until the storm came. The storm was a mix of rain and lightning. The rain was so hard that it teared at the roof until it collapsed. Making a near-to-death escape, she took shelter in a cave by the cottage. Restless, Zarath took shelter in the cave until the storm ended--a day afterwards. Now hungry added to the fatigue that she had before, she visited the cottage again, hoping to find Marqua. The cottage was beat up, and, by the smell of decay, looked like something set it on fire. Thank goodness that it was okay now. The Fae couldn't find her sister, and quickly assumed that Marqua was dead. At that fact, and the fact that she was hungry and tired, she passed out, the last memory before that was that someone found her and brought her...somewhere. Regardless, she is sly and a trickster at heart, and everyone knows it. The Wildclaw, in battle or doing something randomly dangerous, is brave and is quite the risk-taker. In tricky situations, she tends to act fast and talk later. She can switch her personality (on purpose) in situations too. Vortex fights with her claws and fangs 99.9% of time, not caring if she gets hurt whilst fighting. It's like a hobby to her. Kazimir is a large white lion. He has large hands and paws, and crooked and twisted whiskers. His is slightly above average in height, and fairly build. He is strong, but doesn't like using his strength for physical violence. His mane is messy, but Kaz usually tries to keep it tamed. Because of this, his mane is silky soft and smooth. Lakoda wears clothes made that of what a commoner would wear; typically being heavy cotton pants, light cotton shirt, and light leather over jacket.
Personality: Often he finds himself daydreaming, which makes him seem like a lazy loafer. However, on the contrary he's a very hard worker where he comes from. When someone gives him a challenge, he usually takes it no matter if it is dangerous or not. This makes him a bit reckless. He's also known to be slightly pranksterish, mischievous, and rebellious. He's got a natural stubborn streak. Loyal to the end to friends he bonds with, he enjoys making lasting relationships. Lakoda loves to also read even though he has had to learn on his own and listen to others tell stories.
History: Lakoda was born to a mother he never knew, she died bringing him into the world and a father who never was there. This left him a family less child. However, he somehow managed. At first in an orphanage where he was forced into labor, and then on his own at the age of thirteen on the streets working odd jobs that would pay. His life was one of little food, little shelter, little prized possessions, and little hope. Yet Lakoda trudged on in life, making his way the best he could. Personality: Atana is a sweet peace driven being. However, if she or someone she loves is threatened, she will not hesitate in getting a little aggressive. History: Like all the other dragons that were chosen, her life revolved around High Cliff. Her and the other chosen were born to grow up together in the Temple of Aurixzen to learn until the day their chosen riders would arrive. Atana spent many a day wondering what it would be like to have a rider by her side and most of those thoughts turned into happy dreams of adventure and timeless hours together. It's been sixteen years for Atana, but she hasn't given up hope yet. Studies in High Cliff are rigorous, but necessary. Master Icarus was a great dragon and she admired him very much.

Appearance:
Leta stands at a height of around 180cm (5'9"), taller then most girls her age. Though she appears slender, her body is well toned throughout and because of that she is able to pull her own weight if the need arises. Her face is more oval in appearance, with a delicately pointed chin. She has long straight white hair that reaches down to her mid back. It is usually not tied up and ends up everywhere, occasionally she will pull it back in a braid. Her hair parts right in the middle and fall on either side of her face. The hairs at the front are shorter (and when she pulls her hair back, these are the ones that are always loose, framing her face) and as you move back they get longer, with the longest strands meeting in the middle. Her eyes are a deep teal colour with golden flecks. Her skin is fair with just a small hint of colour from the sun.

Clothing wise she is usually seen in a green tunic that extends just past her hip, with dark brown almost black pants. The tunic has some embroidery on it, mostly found around her neckline and around the bottom of the tunic. She wears a golden like belt around her waist that anchors her sword in place. The belt is carved in the shape of a dragon with the front claws hooking onto the tail to lock it in place. It has lost most of its original lustre and shine as she's worn it so many times. She wears brown leather ankle height boots with some gold coloured trimming around the top.

Personality:
Leta is a very energetic bubbly elf, sometimes even getting into trouble over it. She does try her best in every subject and found herself excelling in archery and with a light sword. She is a shy soul. Making new friends is a bit harder for her to do and most of the times she pushes herself into the background around people she does not know very well, trying to avoid confrontation. Though once you get to know her she is a very pleasant person to be around and fiercely loyal. She can also be a very impatient person. She doesn't like waiting for a long time for someone or something to happen, she is very much an in the moment kind of elf.

History:
Leta was born into a family of four (making her the fifth addition) as the youngest child of Sachi and Atero. When she was older her mother, Sachi, told her how overjoyed she was at finally having a daughter. Both her older siblings were boys and followed their father around a lot more than their mother. Her father, Atero, was extremely protective of her, mostly because he was not use to not rough housing with his children. With this in mind he was also not to enthusiastic when Leta asked to be taught archery. As typical older brothers go Arkady (the oldest) and Mikolaj (the middle) mocked and teased her at her futile attempts at archery most of the time. They had their moments when alone with their sister, instead of mocking they would give her pointers which slowly made her better at the task and almost on par with them. Now because she remembered the fit her father made and how many times he tried to push her away from weaponry, learning to fight with a light sword was done outside her families knowledge. She even kept the secret from her brothers as she didn't trust them to keep it.

Around came her eighteenth birthday. A big celebration was thrown with her own family inviting more family and even extended family she did not even know about. Though she was ecstatic at receiving many gifts (as anyone is), the cheek pinching was something she could live without. It was during the party that she fell quiet, as she felt something tugging on her to leave. She ignored the feeling and continued on trying to be herself, but the knot twisting in her stomach started to become unbearable and she ended up retiring earlier then she would like. The next few following days made her miserable as she attempted to ignore the pull and move on with life. It wasn't until she finally snapped at her brothers that her parents took her aside and asked her what was going on. Of learning about the tugging feeling her parents took her to see older, wiser elves in their town. Their answer? To leave and follow the feeling. Her father refused to let her go, saying that even the older elves were crazy now, but with much persuasion on her mothers part she was given her fathers blessing to leave, with both her parents hoping of her return. With that behind her Leta ventured out of the town she grew up in and into Eldervale, seeking what was making the knot in her stomach.

Personality:
Calix is quite opposite of his rider. He is patient and tries to work through things instead of diving head into a mess and not knowing what the outcomes may be. He is very proficient in dragon magic, having studied the books in the temple of Aurixzen over and over until he was satisfied with the result. At times he may be quite, gathering his thoughts to be able to give something of value back into the conversation. Though he tries hard not to show it he does enjoy to just relax and have fun every once and a while, even if it's just spreading his wings and soaring around.
Though Calix is calm the majority of the time, given the right reasons (and maybe a push in the right direction) he can become aggressive and very defensive of both his friends and his rider. It takes a lot to get him to that kind of state (as he likes to put it) but then again he hasn't had a rider to protect yet.

History:
Calix was born in the temple and doesn't know much of the outside world except what he was able to read in books. He was told his egg was a royal blue colour with yellow weaved into it that seemed to glimmer when the sun hit it. This intrigued him as a dragonet, especially the part of it glimmering but wasn't able to save a piece of it so his first attempt of having treasure to himself ended up a failure. He was a lot more curious as a dragonet then what he is now. He was always trying to fly out of the safe haven and see the world but each plan was throttled by Icarus. His enthusiasm to see the outside world was then redirected at books, it took a while but soon enough he became more hooked on the books than with his attempts at flying out, with each passing year they dwindled down to none.

He enjoyed his time alone as much as he enjoyed his time with the other dragonets that were in the temple and their were quite a few of them. Just like them, he was also curious as to what his rider would look like, what they would act like, would they even like him? All he hoped for was that whoever they were, they would also be fond of learning. Eventually those fears disappeared as he aged from a baby to a teen to an adult (only by his standards an adult). Now he just waits patiently and mostly in silence, peering out into the world for whoever was to be with him.

Brenna stands at a height of 5’7”, an average height for elves her age. She has long, wavy chestnut hair that she wears in a high ponytail, with a chin-length fringe that parts to the right. Strands of silvery white run through the waves, making her hair shimmer in the light. Her eyes are pale grey, almost white, and her skin is fair with a with golden undertones that are brought out by the summer sun. Her face is square with a strong jawline and high cheekbones; her cheeks are often tinted red from spending time outdoors in the wind. Long legs and pointed ears gave Brenna her nickname, but otherwise her body is medium-build with muscle toned by a life of living in and trekking through the mountains.

Brenna wears practical clothes that are suited for her daily life: her boots are thick, leather-bound, and reach mid-calf; dark, fitted pants and a wrap-around skirt of thinner goatskin leather that gathers at the front cover her lower body; a black leather belt around her waist contains pouches for vials of various tinctures and extracts, a small utility knife, her coin pouch, and a wooden scabbard for her hunting sword, which is adorned with a carved stag; her torso is covered by a fitted white tunic and she may wear dark leather gloves. Fawn also has a long, ashen-grey cotton scarf that she wears around her neck and crossed over her chest, providing extra warmth and protection from the environment.

Personality:
Brenna is patient and level-headed; she likes to take time to think things through before making decisions. Like most elves, she is intelligent and insightful, and she takes pride in her extensive knowledge of the land and creatures that inhabit it. She enjoys being independent and spending time alone, but will gladly aid others if they need her. Although she is compassionate, Fawn has trouble trusting others and can be stubborn if she does not get her way in a disagreement. She has a strong will and determination, but is not reckless. Brenna is a quick learner with a great memory that allows her to remember intricate potion recipes and preparations.

History:
Fawn was born as Brenna to her elf parents Eira and Roland, but she was not brought up among the mountain elves. When she was born, her parents were travelling through Eldervale selling their potions and preparations - as was their livelihood. While making their way through the land of the Animari, they were both stricken with a crippling illness; her father was the first to pass, and her mother soon after. The Animari showed them great hospitality and compassion, caring for the travellers in their last days. Before she died, Eira pleaded with a deer Animari by the name of Lyssa to raise her daughter in her place. Lyssa agreed and Brenna was taken into their care. Lyssa and her partner Samson raised Brenna as their own, teaching her the ways of the Animari and giving her a new loving family. During childhood, Brenna’s long legs and pointed ears gave her the nickname “Fawn”, which the Animari still affectionately call her by. She was always accepted by the members of the Animari village she grew up in, and she has great appreciation for them.

At the age of 15, Brenna was given an apprenticeship with an Animari healer and elder. Shyk, as the wolf Animari was known, commenced his lessons with the young elf and by the time she was 18, Brenna had learned to make even the most intricate of potions, and she was constantly creating her own preparations and improvements for the recorded recipes. Shyk saw her intelligence and deep connection with nature, and suggested that she travel to Aurixzen, where she may further her studies and become a rider. Brenna knew her way around, having spent days and weeks journeying from her home to the region of the Fae, sent by Shyk to trade and purchase magical goods. She had always found it very easy to communicate with the Fae, even though she was constantly hearing how difficult they were to work with. Brenna learned much about the elements and dragons from the Fae she visited, and this only made her more curious when Shyk finally suggested that she visit the temple.

Personality:
Freyja is a playful, carefree dragon who loves adventure and taking risks. She enjoys teasing the ones close to her, but never means any harm. Staying in one place for an extended amount of time is not something Freyja can manage - this includes lessons at the Aurixzen. While she is smart enough to get by her examinations, she much rather prefers to use the skills she learns in unorthodox and mischievous ways, often getting her into trouble with Icarus and her fellow dragons. Freyja’s thoughts are scattered, but if she puts her mind to something she will do everything to achieve it. She is loyal and trusting, and is not afraid to tell her rider or anyone else how she feels about something.

History:
Freyja was born in High Cliff on a midwinter’s eve, her stone-encrusted egg covered in a thick layer of frost before she hatched. She has always loved the winter, and as a hatchling she would dig miles of tunnels through the snow with her long body. No matter what the season though, Freyja could always be found outdoors, climbing the walls of the temple and surrounding cliffs even before her wings had fully grown. When lessons began, it only meant less playtime for the spiral dragon, but she pushed through and soon found out that she could learn new skills and tricks from her tutors. While Freyja tolerates the lessons, she often daydreams about exploring Eldervale with her rider, and she cannot wait for that day to come.

Appearance:
Zarath isn't the tallest of Faes, but is an average height of 4'8". Her wings, however, are bigger than most others, giving her the advantage to fly a bit faster. Her arms and legs are thin, possessing bony, long fingers and thin toes. The Fae has shiny, straight hair that curls at the ends and drops down to her midsection. It is a blood-like shade of red. Her eyes are a ghostly gray, seemingly glowing in the dark. Her wings are shaped like a butterfly's, but, at the tips, hook down. They look like they are drooping, and are also ghostly gray with red tips. Zarath wears leather boots and a leather vest (matching her dragon's). Underneath her vest she has a tough fabric-made skirt. The dark green skirt goes down to her knees, the tips curling to match the curl her wings have (but curls up). Her skin is pale, but full of life. Because her father was an Animari, she is a bit of animari too. Serpent, in fact. There are small groups of scales on the back base of her neck, back of hands, and on her shoulder the color of the sea. Two of her teeth are fangs that have venom in them, mimicking a snake's.
Personality:
Zarath is a gentle and graceful soul, liking peace and living beings and nature. She is easygoing to everyone, and as kind as kind can be. Being honest and caring is what makes most people enjoy being around her. She doesn't talk much, but wouldn't hesitate to go into triples of sentences at times. The Fae is a bit protective of her friends, and is cautious when doing something risky. However, it is hard to make her angry. Rarely is when she is angry. That doesn't mean Zarath doesn't have any emotion within!

When the Fae is angry (yes, it can happen), she turns into a different person. She changes into something else. Zarath will possess anger and hatred in her gaze, but her facial expression would be like her life got sucked out of her. She'd look like a ghost, actually, with her brows only slightly furrowed. It's when she starts talking is what clashes with her look. Her voice is louder than normal, and has an aggressive tone to it. Best avoid this side, even if it's hard to get to.
History:
Zarath was born to an Fae for a mother and an Animari for a father. She has several brothers and one sister. She was the youngest, and the only Fae in five of her family's generations. She was 'special,' some could say. At the oldest stood Karak, her downright mean hawk Animari brother. He loved to abuse his younger siblings mentally, with words at random times. Their parents weren't aware of this for some reason. The second eldest was Zarath's only sister, Marqua, another Fae. She was like a second mother when the young Fae was twelve and her mother passed away. Because of that event, everyone left the place and lived separately.

Because she was six, Zarath chose to live with Marqua in a lush forest somewhere within Eldervale. Her sister found an abandoned wooden cottage and they settled there for a while. Life was nothing but awesome, peaceful. They lived for years and years. Until the storm came. The storm was a mix of rain and lightning. The rain was so hard that it teared at the roof until it collapsed. Making a near-to-death escape, she took shelter in a cave by the cottage. Restless, Zarath took shelter in the cave until the storm ended--a day afterwards. Now hungry added to the fatigue that she had before, she visited the cottage again, hoping to find Marqua. The cottage was beat up, and, by the smell of decay, looked like something set it on fire. Thank goodness that it was okay now. The Fae couldn't find her sister, and quickly assumed that Marqua was dead. At that fact, and the fact that she was hungry and tired, she passed out, the last memory before that was that someone found her and brought her...somewhere.

Personality:
If you were to meet VortexFight, the first thing you'd notice is that she is kind. She can be self-centered and aloof sometimes, but she is kind. When it comes to her friends, she would do anything for them--even if that means getting hurt. Regardless, she is sly and a trickster at heart, and everyone knows it. The Wildclaw, in battle or doing something randomly dangerous, is brave and is quite the risk-taker. In tricky situations, she tends to act fast and talk later. She can switch her personality (on purpose) in situations too. Vortex fights with her claws and fangs 99.9% of time, not caring if she gets hurt whilst fighting. It's like a hobby to her.
History:
Vortex was born and raised in High Cliff, hatching with Freyja and Calix. She didn't really like them at the start, especially Icarus, but soon learned that she had to deal with them. Still, she was a pain in the neck for the other dragons. Life in the temple wasn't going great with the first four years, boring and stupid. That was until Atana hatched. The crystal blue Wildclaw felt friendly affection to the white Guardian, but never showed it. She always liked Atana's sweetness, Calix's patience, and Freyja's carefree attitude. By age 10, she learned to be a real friend to her dragon friends, but always kept a bit of arrogance. On purpose.

Kazimir is kind and caring, and has a lot of patience. He is usually serious, but can handle and tell jokes very well. He cares for those around him, and will help protect and help anyone in any way he can. Kaz prefers to talk rather than fight, but if anyone he cares about is threatened, he will not be afraid to attack. He cares deeply about his close friends and family, but will still care about distressed strangers that need help. Kaz is level-headed and intelligent, and will plan things out before acting. He is good under pressure, and will help keep everyone calm is a dangerous situation.

History:
Kazimir was born and raised in a tight-knit tribe of Animari. While the other kids were playing, he loved watching the elderly shaman interact with the spirits. He would watch intently, and the shaman would explain everything to him. The old shaman was more of his family than his blood relatives. When he was 7, the shaman was old and dying. He gave the young lion his dreamcatcher necklace, something he made to pass down to the next shaman. Kaz quickly took up studying spirit magic, using totems and magical artifacts to communicate with them. He enjoyed the company of the kind spirits much more than the teasing and prodding of the other children. Despite the bullying, he showed nothing but kindness and compassion to them.

His parents were not a supporter of his. They wanted him to become a strong warrior, and fight to protect their tribe. Declining, Kaz was wordlessly disowned by his parents. Despite this, he gave them kind smiles and short waves when he spotted them. As he grew older, he found himself getting the shaman position. He became more and more bored of the same old routine, and found nothing more his tribe could offer to him. With a short goodbye, he was on his way, and began his travels across Eldervale.

Tevra is a kind-hearted soul. She is very mother-like, and cares more about other than herself. Because of this, she is good to talk to. She will others' health before her own, often getting herself in trouble and sick. She is quick and nimble, and an elegant flier. History:
Tevra, when she hatched, had been protective over the other unhatched eggs, refusing to let others go near them. As she grew older, her protective nature still stuck with her. She learned very quickly, and helped the slower dragons learn too. Lessons were no hassle to her, and enjoyed learning. She enjoys spending her time learning and reading, and watching the younger dragons play. She loved flying and weaving between the gaping holes in the walls and cliffs. She loved teaching and tutoring, too. Growing up, she was a good dragon to talk too. She is excited for the day she meets her rider, but is still worried about the other dragons.

Personality: She is a fun bubbly Fae who loves to play pranks on others, and bring smiles to others faces. She acts goofy, and downright childish and naive at times. But while she may pretend not to have a care in the world, she is very serious when she needs to be, and not as foolish as she seems to be.
History: Being apart of the Light Court, Amara has always had a great love for the sun and all things bright. When she was a child, she lost a friend who was very dear to her, and with their last words, they asked that she not be sad by their death, and to keep smiling. They told her that she was the brightest light they had ever seen, and her smile just made others want to smile to. History: Miranda being soft-spoken, was never really heard all that much when she was a hatchling. Appearance: Deja (or D, to friends) is small, only 4"5. She has a really slight build, very small and skinny. She has muscle definition in her arms and legs, so you know she does physical labour. Shes alot stronger than she looks, able to lift boulders pretty easily. Her hair is short and curly, the length falling to just below her ears. Its brown, the color of dark chestnut wood. Her eyes are large and doll like, the color a shocking deep green, the green so dark it seem almost black unless you look really close. Shes very pale, with freckles spreading thinly over her small button nose. Her lips are a pale pink, slightly thin. She has no bust. At all. She usually wears loose fitting clothing, a plain black shirt, with the sleeves short, and canvas pants.

Personality: Shes very quiet, and usually wont speak unless spoken to. When she does speak (and she wont talk to you if she feels you are stupid) you usually find out shes very smart and witty, able to keep conversation really well. She just hates stupid people. Her personality is such that if something needs to be done, and the others wont do it, she will. She rarely gets ruffled, and she has a very sturdy mental state.

History: She grew up in a typical hovel, and moved at a little early, when she was 30. That was because her mother found her creepy, and she came from a large family, so it didnt matter much if she left. She was one of 15 siblings, and the 7th to be born. She was perpetually having to keep quiet, as her mother always got angry at her for speaking. It always made her feel stupid, getting told off by her younger daughter. Her father was always away, working to support such a big family.

Personality: She's... An interesting dragon. She seemed the one that the saying "A silence and a look can cut". She couldnt talk, but her expressions were expressive enough, her eyes conveying a thousand words easily. Of that wasnt enough, she could use her petals, but she usually didnt like to. She's is also usually quiet unless spoken to. Doesn't like dumb people. Or dumb dragons. Nisshoku usually has a sneer on her face, or a blank, bored look.
History: Nisshoku was born on a moonless night, a bad omen in dragon kind. Her egg seemed to leech what little light was left, almost absorbing it for the young hatchling inside. Though, it seemed all the power she gained was for naught. She was born broken. Useless. At least, that was what everyone said about her muteness. She learned to cope rather quickly, using stray flower petals to get her message across. Though no one usually took the time to listen to her. So, she grew introverted, lonely. Sad. Determined to have a somewhat normal life, or, as much as a messed up dragon like her could, she learned how to fight. She learned quickly, becoming the top of her class relatively easily. She is adept at moving silently.

Race: Animari (Lammergeier).
Gender: Male.

Appearance: A small individual, practically indiscernible in body shape from a short-necked vulture, with a standing height of just over a metre and a wingspan three times that. Tein's wings are not equipped with hands; He instead grapples objects with his feet, whose toes are, unlike an ordinary bird, highly dexterous and long enough to be called fingers. As he does use his feet to stand, he can only effectively use one at a time while grounded, and backs it up with his beak. Tein's wings, back and tail are dark brown streaked with grey, but his neck, legs and body are feathered in yellow and orange, and his head is white. Two black streaks pass over his eyes, which are red-ringed, and end in fluffy tufts around his beak. Basically this li'l guy but with sapien hands for feet.
Tein wears little and travels unarmed, though he carries a leather satchel around his torso and tail, and needs to use a lens in order to read.

Personality: Tein isn't shy, but never has much to say. Curious enough about other people to waddle over to any budding conversations he overhears an interesting word from, Tein enjoys watching, and will do so until he gets bored. Although this usually doesn't take long, Tein is easily entertained and will freely spend hours of his day arranging pretty rocks into a pile. When cornered into talking, he tends to come off as goofy, either not very smart or just never having gotten the hang of ordinary acquaintance, and communicates with heavy use of body language and charades. It's hard to tell if he ever makes friends, but given how happy he seems anyway, it's hard to worry either.
As a Bearded Vulture-like Animari, Tein eats almost exclusively bones, making him an easy traveller to feed, as he can live off the scraps of others. He enjoys dust baths and can sometimes be seen preening to rearrange his feathers, especially when nervous. Tein is capable of hovering motionless in the air for hours and is generally skilled in using his wings, but still does not compare well with dragons in flight speed, agility or carrying capacity.

History: Tein's life until now has been privileged and quiet. Born to a tribe of flight-capable Animari who had grown wealthy as the only reliable guides through a geographically significant stretch of canyons and cliffs, sitting at the corner of Water and two other elemental regions and enclosing valuable mines and rivers, the Flow clan ensured that Tein received the best of education as the firstborn of their leaders. Tein was an adequately diligent worker and learner, but some in the clan worried that he did not have the independence and creativity to inspire them as a leader. Some even wished for his younger, smarter, more eager sisters to take over the role of heir, causing notable concern to his elders and tutors. When Tein reacted positively to his divine calling, excited to use what he had been taught outside the canyons, the chieftains blessed and encouraged him to make the journey to High Cliff and allow his eldest sister to take up training in his place, a satisfying solution for the whole clan.

Personality: Yan takes life with just a faint pinch of cynicism underneath their generally good humour. They get along well with anyone that can consistently keep up high spirits through Yan's laxly casual mockery and lack of laughter, though they smile often; Fortunately, this is pretty much everyone. Often seen skiving responsibilities with a book, Yan is usually immune to acting responsively, and will generally not change their mood when the situation grows tense, sad, or joyful. Yan is not entirely one-sided, as they have a streak of impatience that sometimes sees day, and derives true joy from being around someone they connect with.

History: Born impatient and frustrated, Yan as a child wanted nothing more than to skip to the end of everything. Knowing that they were destined to one day partner up with a rider and embark on some kind of sacred mission, Yan restlessly sought to know who it would be they would bond with and how they would proceed. Finding this desire consistently flouted by mystery, Yan slowly grew into a kind of merry apathy with the matter that permeated the rest of their personality as well, and now that the day draws near, Yan finds that they have no emotional weight riding on the mystery, and that they simply do as they must because that is what they have been raised and trained to do.

Zephrys’ eyes and hair are golden as a field of ripened grain. A taller than average fae, his translucent wings resemble a dragonfly’s and have the same golden tint as his eyes. He has an expensive taste in clothes, and even his everyday apparel is tailored to his figure. He normally wears yellows, browns, and golds, and often a cloak over his wings.

Personality:
Flamboyant, outgoing, and witty are a few words those who call themselves Zephrys’s friends would use to describe him. Others would use words like shallow, irresponsible, frivolous, and vain. However, if someone who knew him talked about him, they would tell you that he may be all of these things, but he is also one of the most devious people they have ever met.
Armed with a sharp sense of humor and a liberal dose of narcissism, Zephrys makes many friends and enemies everywhere he goes. He’ll casually flirt with nearly all the females he meets, whether their paramours are present or not. His clever tongue has often gotten him into trouble, but Zephrys somehow always manages to slip away.

History: Zephrys grew up in the Summer Court of the fae. He was literally the “golden child” of the Court, his witty remarks and charismatic charm endearing him to many of its lords and ladies. With a strong affinity for air magic that stood out even among the magical fae, it seemed that the world danced to Zephrys’s tune. Perhaps it did, for he was skilled musically as well, and the nobles of the court certainly danced.

Unfortunately for him, not all fae of the Summer Court were as enamored with Zephrys as the others. They saw him as a threat to their own power, and plotted to get rid of the boy. Their plans came to fruition one day in Zephrys’s 17th year, as he was showing his younger brother of 3 summers small tricks with air magic in order to amuse the child.

Augustus laughed as he ran back and forth across the field, trying to catch the blade of grass that kept dancing in and out of his reach. A playful breeze snatched it away every time he thought he had it, and Zephrys smiled as he watched the boy play, focusing carefully on keeping the grass just out of his brother’s grasp.
“...Disgusting.” A taller Fae spoke up from behind Zephrys, breaking his concentration. In the field, August caught the blade of grass as it drifted to the ground. “All your power, and you waste it, using it for the amusement of this boy who isn’t even smart enough to know what it is you’re doing.”
Zephrys turned around, the smile slowly fading from his face as he looked at the one who had spoken.

The fae continued talking, deliberately antagonizing Zephrys as he disparaged Augustus. Wind began to pick up as the fae’s insults provoked Zephrys’s ire. Finally, Zephrys had heard enough, and he lashed out at the fae in anger, his previously gentle breezes turning into a furious gale that blasted the fae across the field.

Zephrys’s enemies had arranged for witnesses to the encounter, and with their testimony, hoped to convince the majority of the Summer Court that Zephrys was a danger to them. A trial was to be held, but even beforehand, they were spreading their version. After an "unprovoked attack" against a fellow member of the court, Zephrys obviously posed a threat to all members of the Summer Court. At any time, he could decide to attack any of the Court and he most definitely would, as his actions clearly showed. They called for his death. One of the Court convinced him that Augustus's testimony would not be given as much credence because of his youth, and Zephrys's friends had all but abandoned him. With the attitude of the Court seemingly against him, Zephrys had not much hope of a fair sentence. Near the end of his trial, one of his close "friends" informed him that it was going badly for him, and if he wanted to live, he had to leave immediately. Trusting their word at the time, Zephrys fled the Summer Court before he received his sentence.

Zephrys went into exile in his 17th year. Often disguised, he wandered the world for 15 years, witnessing the horrors left by the darkness across the land. He saw the ruins of cities that once had been great, filled with death where once there had been so much life. He experienced the distrust of the different races, and learned the influence of fear upon so many people’s actions. But then, after so many years, he heard a rumor of hope upon the wind. A rumor of a place in the mountains where something that had slept dormant for millennia would finally awaken to save the world. And so, Zephrys decided to seek it out...

Personality: Born with an adventurous spirit and an extraordinary amount of courage, Tempest has been getting herself into trouble since the day she hatched. Easily bored, she often formulated ways to escape the eyes of her minders and absolutely loved to put her plans to the test. These occurred most often during her lessons, but rarely during physical training. She has brainstormed ways to escape Aurixzen, but never left because High Cliff was the best place she knew that would help achieve her dream of becoming a hero.

Tempest loves playing pranks on others. As a fledgling, these would consist of her flying at top speed, darting in between the legs of the adult dragons as her minders chased and ran into the dragons she maneuvered around. This habit increased her agility in the air, an element she already had an affinity for.


History:
The air was never still around the small dragon egg. Breezes seemed to caress it as quietly sat in the nest, but the dragon minders were worried, for all the other eggs in that clutch had already hatched. A season passed, and still it did not hatch. The egg had been chosen, and it did show signs of power and life, but the dragon within was taking a very long time to come out. A year went by, and yet, the egg lay dormant. The minders had all but given up hope.

And then, one day, the constant breezes around the egg suddenly became much more violent. Wind blew all about the room, and any who tried to enter could barely walk. And in the center of the cyclone, the tiny egg moved.



Tempest was always trying to keep up with the older dragons. Smaller than normal dragons her age, matching them in combat was practically impossible for her. Lessons and textbooks couldn’t keep her attention long enough for her to gain a scholarly advantage, and instead, she devised ways to escape her tutors and fly at top speed through the temple, dodging around the obstacles in her way until she got outside. And then, no one could catch her.
Eventually, Tempest began to employ the maneuvers she learned dodging obstacles in combat training, and while she might not be able to defeat another dragon head on, Tempest can annoy the heck out of them by dodging like the wind.

She looks forward to the day she meets her rider, partly because it confirms her own Heroic Destiny, and partly because she wants someone to be able to go on the offense as she dodges around, so she can finally defeat another dragon (and rider, hopefully).

Appearance:unlike other jungle elves that wear greenish clothing,trivion had always had a thing for the dark,he is often seen wearing his dark shirt and dark pants which he himself made out of dying leaves which provide excellent camouflage when hunting at night,which is completed with a cowl that was given to him by his great great great grandfather.
Trivion has what some might call eternal youth which makes him look like he's in his early twenties,he has golden wavy hair much to his distasted and green eyes that seem to glow in the dark,but they are covered most of the time by his cowl,he is a tall and slender figure with astonishing agility.

Personality:Some might call trivion heartless and cruel,but he has has his reasons to act this way,he was never good at keeping up with the others at most tasks in his class,but some saw his excellent focus on the combat oriented task,brutal and ever so eager to land the killing blow,he was feared by most and shunned by all.

History:Being birthed into a respected family as the third son,trivion had quickly come to dislike his life which was controlled by his stern father.He was forbidden to do most things which he loved such as reading and tending to the horses in the stalls,because of this he had often snuck out at night to practice his archery which was also forbidden by his father,his family was known throughout the jungle as the swordsmen due to their undying loyalty to swords or as his father discribed it to be"Tradition".He had quickly swept his patience aside which was replaced with anger and bitterness,after thirty years of taking orders and carrying them out,he was described by his fellow classmates as"The Stone hearted Elf".Quickly after his 131 birthday,he was thought eligible for marriage, so his mother had arranged it,but much to her amusement he had turned down the proposal saying that he was not made for love,with his fathers blessings he had joined the army and quickly rose up the ranks thanks to his brutality,he was now in command of the second brigade,who had returned from battle and were celebrating their victory when trivion felt a tugging at the back of his head,determined to find out what this feeling was or what it meant,he set out leaving his lieutenant in command of his brigade.

Personality:Calsefeir is somewhat of the timid nature,never one to get agressive,but can if the need arises,usually seen with her nose deep into a book,she is quite a born leader,relying mostly on tactics rather than brute force,calsefeir had never thought of killing another living creature,she prefers to immobilize them rather than taking their lives.Usually seen in the library reading or going over her recently drawn out tactics,she is almost ready for any situation.

History:Being birthed below high cliffs into a family of six as the youngest and only daughter,calsefeir was always under the protection of her parents or her brothers,she was only allowed to do tasks under the supervision of her brothers,who always gave her pointers which helped her get better.Her brothers were each skilled in the art of combat,each with their own weapon of choice and always prompted her to search for a weapon of her own,but her mother always said that her mind was her greatest weapon,when she was chosen by the gods,she knew that her brothers were jealous,but they were also happy for her,each giving her a parting gift to remember them by.When it was time to leave for the temple her mother had a hard time letting her go,but with much persuasion by her father,she had set off towards the horizon to learn the ways of the gods and prepare for the coming of her rider.

Personality: Night Feather is a rather odd little featherbutt. While most of the birds he knew were relaxed, carefree things, he was...well, rather serious all around. He will relax every now and then, however. He just takes missions and protecting others way too seriously. He also is very protective about his personal belongings. Try and take that necklace of his, and you're in for a bad time. Really, it's just a wooden pole to the face. He's really likes doing that. He's also kinda seen as the nerdy guy of his old "flock".
History: His egg kinda rolled out of the nest into a flock of shadow-mage animaris. He's been with them for most of his life, and he's taken on the flock as his family. He doesn't really go into detail about his past, and he usually states that he's just a wanderer. The fate of his flock will forever be unknown to all but himself. He apparently doesn't like talking about it, however. He calls this his "Second Chance".

Her wings, however, are bigger than most others, giving her the advantage to fly a bit faster. Her arms and legs are thin, possessing bony, long fingers and thin toes. The Fae has shiny, straight hair that curls at the ends and drops down to her midsection. It is a blood-like shade of red. Her eyes are a ghostly gray, seemingly glowing in the dark. Her wings are shaped like a butterfly's, but, at the tips, hook down. They look like they are drooping, and are also ghostly gray with red tips. Zarath wears leather boots and a leather vest (matching her dragon's). Underneath her vest she has a tough fabric-made skirt. The dark green skirt goes down to her knees, the tips curling to match the curl her wings have (but curls up). Her skin is pale, but full of life. Because her father was an Animari, she is a bit of animari too. Serpent, in fact. There are small groups of scales on the back base of her neck, back of hands, and on her shoulder the color of the sea. Two of her teeth are fangs that have venom in them, mimicking a snake's. [b]Personality:[/b] Zarath is a gentle and graceful soul, liking peace and living beings and nature. She is easygoing to everyone, and as kind as kind can be. Being honest and caring is what makes most people enjoy being around her. She doesn't talk much, but wouldn't hesitate to go into triples of sentences at times. The Fae is a bit protective of her friends, and is cautious when doing something risky. However, it is hard to make her angry. Rarely is when she is angry. That doesn't mean Zarath doesn't have any emotion within! When the Fae is angry (yes, it can happen), she turns into a different person. She changes into something else. Zarath will possess anger and hatred in her gaze, but her facial expression would be like her life got sucked out of her. She'd look like a ghost, actually, with her brows only slightly furrowed. It's when she starts talking is what clashes with her look. Her voice is louder than normal, and has an aggressive tone to it. Best avoid this side, even if it's hard to get to. [b]History:[/b] Zarath was born to an Fae for a mother and an Animari for a father. She has several brothers and one sister. She was the youngest, and the only Fae in five of her family's generations. She was 'special,' some could say. At the oldest stood Karak, her downright mean hawk Animari brother. He loved to abuse his younger siblings mentally, with words at random times. Their parents weren't aware of this for some reason. The second eldest was Zarath's only sister, Marqua, another Fae. She was like a second mother when the young Fae was twelve and her mother passed away. Because of that event, everyone left the place and lived separately. Because she was six, Zarath chose to live with Marqua in a lush forest somewhere within Eldervale. Her sister found an abandoned wooden cottage and they settled there for a while. Life was nothing but awesome, peaceful. They lived for years and years. Until the storm came. The storm was a mix of rain and lightning. The rain was so hard that it teared at the roof until it collapsed. Making a near-to-death escape, she took shelter in a cave by the cottage. Restless, Zarath took shelter in the cave until the storm ended--a day afterwards. Now hungry added to the fatigue that she had before, she visited the cottage again, hoping to find Marqua. The cottage was beat up, and, by the smell of decay, looked like something set it on fire. Thank goodness that it was okay now. The Fae couldn't find her sister, and quickly assumed that Marqua was dead. At that fact, and the fact that she was hungry and tired, she passed out, the last memory before that was that someone found her and brought her...somewhere. She can be self-centered and aloof sometimes, but she is kind. When it comes to her friends, she would do anything for them--even if that means getting hurt. Regardless, she is sly and a trickster at heart, and everyone knows it. The Wildclaw, in battle or doing something randomly dangerous, is brave and is quite the risk-taker. In tricky situations, she tends to act fast and talk later. She can switch her personality (on purpose) in situations too. Vortex fights with her claws and fangs 99.9% of time, not caring if she gets hurt whilst fighting. It's like a hobby to her. [b]History:[/b] Vortex was born and raised in High Cliff, hatching with Freyja and Calix. She didn't really like them at the start, especially Icarus, but soon learned that she had to deal with them. Still, she was a pain in the neck for the other dragons. Life in the temple wasn't going great with the first four years, boring and stupid. That was until Atana hatched. The crystal blue Wildclaw felt friendly affection to the white Guardian, but never showed it. She always liked Atana's sweetness, Calix's patience, and Freyja's carefree attitude. By age 10, she learned to be a real friend to her dragon friends, but always kept a bit of arrogance. On purpose.

WELCOME YOUNG RIDER…

Name: Zarath

Appearance:
Zarath isn't the tallest of Faes, but is an average height of 4'8". Her wings, however, are bigger than most others, giving her the advantage to fly a bit faster. Her arms and legs are thin, possessing bony, long fingers and thin toes. The Fae has shiny, straight hair that curls at the ends and drops down to her midsection. It is a blood-like shade of red. Her eyes are a ghostly gray, seemingly glowing in the dark. Her wings are shaped like a butterfly's, but, at the tips, hook down. They look like they are drooping, and are also ghostly gray with red tips. Zarath wears leather boots and a leather vest (matching her dragon's). Underneath her vest she has a tough fabric-made skirt. The dark green skirt goes down to her knees, the tips curling to match the curl her wings have (but curls up). Her skin is pale, but full of life. Because her father was an Animari, she is a bit of animari too. Serpent, in fact. There are small groups of scales on the back base of her neck, back of hands, and on her shoulder the color of the sea. Two of her teeth are fangs that have venom in them, mimicking a snake's.
Personality:
Zarath is a gentle and graceful soul, liking peace and living beings and nature. She is easygoing to everyone, and as kind as kind can be. Being honest and caring is what makes most people enjoy being around her. She doesn't talk much, but wouldn't hesitate to go into triples of sentences at times. The Fae is a bit protective of her friends, and is cautious when doing something risky. However, it is hard to make her angry. Rarely is when she is angry. That doesn't mean Zarath doesn't have any emotion within!

When the Fae is angry (yes, it can happen), she turns into a different person. She changes into something else. Zarath will possess anger and hatred in her gaze, but her facial expression would be like her life got sucked out of her. She'd look like a ghost, actually, with her brows only slightly furrowed. It's when she starts talking is what clashes with her look. Her voice is louder than normal, and has an aggressive tone to it. Best avoid this side, even if it's hard to get to.
History:
Zarath was born to an Fae for a mother and an Animari for a father. She has several brothers and one sister. She was the youngest, and the only Fae in five of her family's generations. She was 'special,' some could say. At the oldest stood Karak, her downright mean hawk Animari brother. He loved to abuse his younger siblings mentally, with words at random times. Their parents weren't aware of this for some reason. The second eldest was Zarath's only sister, Marqua, another Fae. She was like a second mother when the young Fae was twelve and her mother passed away. Because of that event, everyone left the place and lived separately.

Because she was six, Zarath chose to live with Marqua in a lush forest somewhere within Eldervale. Her sister found an abandoned wooden cottage and they settled there for a while. Life was nothing but awesome, peaceful. They lived for years and years. Until the storm came. The storm was a mix of rain and lightning. The rain was so hard that it teared at the roof until it collapsed. Making a near-to-death escape, she took shelter in a cave by the cottage. Restless, Zarath took shelter in the cave until the storm ended--a day afterwards. Now hungry added to the fatigue that she had before, she visited the cottage again, hoping to find Marqua. The cottage was beat up, and, by the smell of decay, looked like something set it on fire. Thank goodness that it was okay now. The Fae couldn't find her sister, and quickly assumed that Marqua was dead. At that fact, and the fact that she was hungry and tired, she passed out, the last memory before that was that someone found her and brought her...somewhere.
