In a universe extremely different from ours, a world was created. The gods fiddled with life, creating animals, humans, and 2 shapeshifters. Yin and Yang. Yang was, in his human form, a tall, strong man with white hair with bright yellow highlights and vibrant blue eyes. Yin, his sister, was the opposite. She had pure black hair with red highlights and red eyes. Yang was very kind, where as Yin would crush anything that opposed her. Eventually, yin found the scroll the gods used to create her. She kept it away from her brother and used it to create her own minions. Eventually Yang found out, and took it from her. He used it to make his subjects. Eventually, Yin found out, and they got into an argument. A war broke out. Eventually, Yang won, as he had created more soldiers than Yin. But Yin still lurks around in the dark forests, feasting on the deceased, waiting until she can return. She still has soldiers, too. Yang, however, created a large kingdom, with loving members. The end, I guess.
Rules: You can make background characters without making a form for them; You can make as many characters as you'd like, as long as you can keep up with them;You can use mild swearing; Anything you do can have blood, so if you don't like gore, then this isn't really the place for you. Yin has red and black hair with yellow eyes, so you can't choose a look like that. And Yang has white and light blue with bright yellow eyes, so you can't choose that, either.
Q/A

Q: Any restrictions for shapeshifting?
A: It's traditional for quite a few shapeshifter tribes that only Yin and Yang can turn into dragons, but your character can do it behind people's backs if you'd wish for them to be able to.
Q: What's with multicolored hair?
A: Most shapeshifters have unnatural colored hair(Unless they're human/shapeshifter hybrids). If they're the first generation of a new tribe, then they'll only have one hair color. Their children will have 2. Their grandchildren will have 4, ect, ect.
Q: What if my character is a human/shapeshifter hybrid?
A: If you're a human/shapeshifter hybrid, then you'll have normal hair colors(usually) and will only be able to shift into 1 water creature, 1 flying creature, 1 mammal, 1 reptile, 1 amphibian, and 1 bug. And a dragon, if most of your lineage is shapeshifter.
Q: Can demigods have powers?
A: Yes, but only 1 or 2.
Q: What time zone is this set in?
A: Man has only go so far as to create guns, and they have many villages and are somewhat civilied.

Here's my character!

Name: Violet
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Species: Shapeshifter
Side: Good, but Yin's army don't really bother them, so mainly neutral.
Appearance: Purple eyes and pale skin. She wears a cloak with a hood over her head usually, so you don't really get any other details. Just take off her hood if you're curious XD
Weapons: Bow and arrow, Wolverine obsidian knuckles
Companions: A little black dragon named Shade (He's actually a fae)
Details: She's the daughter of the chief of a small tribe down south. Even though it's closer to Yin's forest, they don't get a lot of intrusions.

Violet walked through the village, a small black dragon poking its head out of her cloak. She chuckled a little and stroked him gently. "Calm down, Shade..", She said softly. She came around a corner and stopped suddenly. There was a woman with bright blue hair crying. A gen one, aka one of the original founders of the tribe. Her father had created this tribe, as he was getting kind of bored. "Um..", Violet mumbled. The woman simply pointed to the forest. "Right."

She silently ran into the forest, her black cloak trailing behind her. Suddenly, black hair grew along her arms and legs. Her spine bended and she became a panther. Her cloak magically disappeared somehow(too lazy to explain clothes). She jumped into the trees and sprinted through, catching the scent of someone outside of the tribe.
Eventually, she caught up with someone. He was carrying a sack. Why would anyone let this human in? She swiftly jumped out from the trees and pounced on him.

The man gasped for air and spoke, "WHAT THE?!" Violet turned into a human and put on 2 obsidian knuckles. Suddenly, metal claws slid out of them. She pressed them to his neck. "Give me the bag.", She said coldly. The man laughed. "As if. If I return this to my seller, i'll become more rich than you guys' king." Violet snarled and pressed the obsidian knuckled into his skin. Blood trickled down his neck. "Give it if you value your life." The man seemed scared now. "Alright.. Fine.." He threw the bag over. There seemed to be crying from inside. Violet put her hands on his head and chin. "Wait, what are y-", He was interrupted by the sound of bones cracking. She snapped his neck and mumbled, "Thieves will not be tolerated." She got up and looked over at the bag, looking inside.

She walked over to the bag, peering inside. There were 2 babies. What the..? One had bright orange and green hair with blue eyes. She was crying. The other, with dark blue and orange, seemed to be trying to calm his sister. Why would anyone want shapeshifter babies?? She picked the 2 up and strolled back to the tribe, putting her obsidian knuckled away.

Ashley smelled the blood, it was fresh.... She transformed out of her raven form and back to her human form. She followed the bloods aroma, there was a girl, about her age... and... there was the blood. Her eyes flashed a evil red as she pounced onto the man, baring her fangs. He screamed, like all of her other meals. She smiled and licked her lips, " this meal is MINE!!! she roared.
