Snow lay in the sun watching as the snow started melting. It was becoming spring and soon all the snow would be gone and new life would appear all over. Including in Snows and Lances small pack. It had been a month since the attack that killed everyone in the pack she was in and Lance,ruby,flare,and snow were the only survivors. Of course not with out injuries.

Lance paced back and forth, his limp slowing him down. He couldn't stop thinking about what happened a month ago. Flare had been injured. Her left ear was a third smaller from a bite, and she had a deep leg wound that was still healing. Snow had been clawed several times, and now, she had many scars on her snout. Ruby had escaped unscathed, which Lance still found extraordinary. He sighed and sat down next to Snow, Flare and Ruby.

"Something wrong Lance,you were pacing again." She said looking at Lance.

"Nothing Snow. Just memories," Lance said, after a short delay. He shifted into a sleeping position, except he kept his head up and alert.

"Hey, Lance can I talk to you in the cave?" Snow asked as she got up still looking at Lance.

Ruby looked at her mother as she spoke wondering what she wanted to tell Lance

"Yes, of course," Lance replied, getting up. Flare cocked her head, in confusion.

Snow walked to the cave with Lance before turning to him and saying," so I was planning on telling you this tomorrow but, I've been keeping a secret for 2 months now"

Lance cocked his head in confusion, "What do you mean?"
