Some Basic Overview:

It takes place in Sornieth, after the deities have suddenly left the mortals on their lonesome to guide their own lives. They haven't returned in years.

The Shade is the prime evil of this realm, and there is a rumored "opposite" to the Shade.

All dragon clans are at peace, and violence among themselves is forbidden. However, not all clans are actually friendly towards others.

They left us...our...' creators '. They were supposed to guide us, keep us safe, and make sure we were never at fault. However, that time disappeared from our clutches in mere moments.

Sornieth was broken, lost, and disorganized since the Days of Absence. These were the first few days of our new lives...the first days without our teachers. In a matter of only a few moments, all the eleven deities had vanished from our sights. This disappearance brought on a great darkness.

Our souls were gripped with horrors of anger, fear, doubt, despair, hatred, violence, and even a dark, overwhelming pride.

Panic was the new law, the new order of life. The inhabitants of Sornieth were chaos-ridden, terrified, and utterly at loss. It was then, the sun was finally arising from the horizon in a glorified blaze.

They called it an omen, an awakening. The burning of the sky sent hope throughout the eyes of those that beheld it, and soon, we found peace. We found happiness, courage, love, humility, certainty, and hope...

With these new blessings, we sought to recreate our world as a perfect image. Dragons from all across the Mainland joined together in clans, all sanctioned under a union of sorts. The High Council was formed, a group of dragons who each represented all the clans of Sornieth. Through this Council, we found our true meaning...our paradise.

Everything was clear again, and we realized that we could create our own destinies, lead our own paths, and teach our own lessons. We didn't need the deities who had abandoned us so many years ago, we only needed ourselves.

That was, until, the great darkness had begun to return. The Shade, we called it, a brooding and dark embodiment of all terrors imaginable. It consumed the lands surrounding the Mainland, closing our world off from the rest of the realm. However, such a darkness seems to remain at a distance, not daring to enclose around our homes.

Many of our loved ones ventured out, far and far away into the sea, to seek out this foreboding darkness...and defeat it once and for all. Very few ever return to the Mainland, and very few are even capable of describing the horrors they faced. However, we didn't allow this Shade to defeat us so easily.

We remain at a great distance from our foe, living out our lives in peace, as if nothing was ever wrong. We band together strong alliances with other clans, and together we will thrive...as is our woven destiny.

But...the darkness remains at the back of our minds. A question, we all tend to ask ourselves.

When will it come for us ?

Oh my god. Yes, yes, yes. My lair is very small right now, being only five permanant lore dragons, but I'd love to do this! I can definitely pitch in ideas, suggestions or maybe even help time-to-time. I'd love to do this!

This is a really cool idea-and a big one at that! I wouldn't mind participating in something like this. I just hope enough people pitch in an help get this project off of the ground. I'm definitely in though!

Shadow is the flight I'd like to be in, yes. I'm also going to throw my suggestions here if you don't mind.

-A Trading Post RP thread or maybe a main RP thread where all clans can gather.
-If the RP forms become too packed with this thread's other topics, we can move the clan RP threads to their respective flight forums. {I can see how this can become a problem if a clan is from one flight lore-wise but is in another.}
-We may be able to create our own website for RPing if it gets too cluttered, as long as the mods allow it.
-If this does lift off the ground and we make it around to a holiday, there are a bunch of activites or mini-contests we could do besides doing RP. {Secret Santa for Christmas, maybe hiding egg icons in people's lairs for Easter, etc.}
-We should maybe create criteria that people need to meet before they join so it won't become way too cluttered. {EX: 1 Month+ with Roleplaying Experience, Proper Grammar, etc.}

I really like this idea!! I haven't been roleplaying for a little bit, but your idea has certainly got me interested in getting back into it! If this gets enough people to start this off I'd love to be involved with this so sign me up!

I considered a website, I've made one before for role play entries before for my first role playing game, but we would only need one if you get big but that's a good idea! Trading post, holidays, and then the stricter criteria also sounds very smart :3
