Sean wouldn't usually go so far into the woods, but after having been caught trying to rob a noble... Well, he thought it would be best to lay low for a while. So, he fled deep into the woods to hide out until the guards had stopped looking for him.

After getting far enough away to feel safe, he stopped to catch his breath. It was then that he noticed that something seemed a little off here, though he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Being curious, Sean decided to investigate and look around a bit.

Oliver sat high up in one of the trees, listening to the noise. God, humans were so loud. No wonder his 'family' complained so often about them. Oliver merely found them useful. His gaze followed a young man running towards him, stopping directly underneath him. The fae supposed it didn't matter as long as this stranger didn't try to enter the lair.

He moved down a few branches, just so he could get a closer look. Most people didn't pass through this area, and the ones that did never lingered long enough to know what was going on here. It was odd to say the least to think that this one was investigating the area. He stayed quiet, partially so that he didn't scare the guy, and partially so that he could observe further.

Sean was sure there was something off about this place, though he couldn't quite put his finger on it. It felt as though he were being watched, but that was impossible, he was sure he had lost the guards well before now. He brushed off the feeling as paranoia, and decided not to worry about it, since it was already getting fairly late in the evening.

He didn't want to be out in the open like this come sunset, so he decided his safest option would be to sleep tied to a tree branch, like he used to when he was homeless. The tree above him looked sturdy enough to hold his weight, and so Sean began shimmying up.

Oliver gasped in surprise as the strange human began climbing his tree. Well, that was it. He was far too close to their lair, and finding that just wasn't great. He drew his knife, deciding he could scare the guy off, and swung down the branches, waving his weapon almost barbarically, as Sean began shimmying up. "What are you doing? Go home." His gaze was rested on the other coldly. He normally would adore the humans and their simple nature, but not when it was this late, and not when he was in charge of making sure nobody found them.

Sean was startled when someone suddenly swung down from the tree, and fell right on his butt. "Who are you?" Sean asked. He was sure he had been alone here, why would someone else be this far in the forest?

"Who are you?" Oliver retaliated, smirking a little and trying not to laugh at the other's reaction to his presence. "You're the one wandering around the forest and bringing guards this way."

Sean cursed and glanced behind himself nervously at the mention of guards. After reaffirming that he and the other were alone he calmed down and smiled at the man. "I'm Sean. You know, waving knives in people's faces isn't a very nice greeting."

"I'm not greeting you," Oliver replied with a scoff. "I'm trying to get rid of you." He lowered the knife, though, holding it tightly in his hands. Sean, he thought carefully, but he didn't recognise the name. A good sign.

Sean looked at him, puzzled. "Why? Is this your tree? I can find another, if that would make you happy." Sean began looking at the nearby trees, to pick one that looked sturdy and easy to climb. "You never gave me your name, by the way."

"This is my forest," Oliver growled, gaze protective as he looked around. Why was this human even here? Couldn't he just leave? "Why are you climbing these trees? I believe that's called trespassing. Are you a trespasser?" He was quite anxious to get Sean to leave by this point. If he ventured too far, then he'd find their home, and out them, and terrible things would happen. An idea popped into his head. "Hey, you can stay on this tree as long as you promise not to go east of here." You can keep an eye on him, and he won't go near home. "I'm Oliver."
