"The First Beast came into this world in a small Russian laboratory at the dawn of the year 1950. This beast for whatever reason saw fit to escape from said lab, leaving a trail of blood and limbs behind it. With the power to shapeshift the First Beast took on the gauise of a handsome man and made his way to the city known as Moscow. No one never really knows what happened after that.... all we know is that Beast and human genome mingled in the days to come, creating mutant monstrosities. Now the year is 2020, mutants infest every country known to man. Humanity, seeing it approaching doom, creating an organization called the CCO or the Creature Containment Organization. Since the years leading up to 2020, the Beast-Human hybrids were taking over the planet, killing a great number of people, but humanity fought back. With the help from other nations, the mutants were either killed or
captured although I'll just say many of them didn't enjoy the loving conditions. I am now about to start phase 1 of the Island Containment Coalition or the ICC. there will be exactly 6 mutants living on the island, escape will be impossible considering an electrically charged plexi steel wall lines the outskirts as well as an electricAL mesh steel canopy top. Me and 4 others of my staff will be studying these creatures to see what we can extract from them. My staff will be specializing in a certain area of study were as I will be forseeing the entire operation. My staffs areas of study include Applications to Weaponry, Applications to Medicine, Applications to Energy, and Applications to Security. I am above excited to be studying these individuals and to see how my staff fairs. This is Dr. Devall signing out"

Dosne Devall carefully closed his recorder and placed it into his satchel. His eyes beamed with curiosity as he quickly exited the fortified compund that lay within the islands forest. 5 vehicles stood side by side awaiting for someone to drive them. He was always early for his meetings so he expected his staff to be asleep. Hopping into his vehicle he started the ignition and made his way to the beach where the mutants would be unloaded. He was practically beaming with excitement.

Thus came forth the "Khimera", a viciously hostile creature that was bent on destroying every human (or even vaguely human) creature it could reach (and it could reach quite far). After several security breaches, efforts were put forth to control the beast. Technology was developed to interrupt brain and neural waves, and the trials began. At first the devices restraining it seemed effective, up until Khimera managed to turn an attack against personnel, destroying the tech that was connected to the devices. This attack resulted in first completed escape attempt of 001-12. @TheMossKnight (Finished! Tell me if anything needs to be changed ^^)

Name: Finn "Flopsy" Alastair

Age: 16

Gender(doesn't have to be binary): Male (he/him)

Mutant or Human: Mutant

if Mutant, specify power or mutation: Half-Feline;
 • Enhanced vision, hearing, climbing and jumping ability
 • Night vision
 • Able to land on feet when falling from high heights
 • Pointy fangs (would also have sharp claws as an advantage, but his claws were filed down)
Appearance: Finn stands at 5'6", and has a skinny frame. His hair is black, short, fluffy and swept to the side. His complexion leans a little on the pale side, and his cat-like eyes are a bright shade of blue. Normal ears have been replaced by furry, light grey and white cat ears. He has a long, light grey and white cat tail, thicker at the tip. He likes wearing a white hoodie with a blue bunny-shaped symbol on the front, a necklace with a cross pendant, dark grey pants, blue and pink shoes, and a pink headband with bunny ears. He rarely ever puts the hood over his head, and he rarely ever takes his headband off, as it is his favorite object. A scar across his chest is hidden underneath his clothing, directly over his heart.

History: The first sound Finn emitted when he was born was that of a cat's meow. His father, named Spike, was a Beast - a full-on feline shifter - and his mother, named Gabriel, was a human. He was born as a Beast-Human, and despite knowing this, his father looked forward to seeing his future capabilities. "My son will be as strong as I am, perhaps even stronger!" he had declared with full confidence.

His mother, on the other hand, was worried that her son wasn't going to be human enough. She had found out the truth about her Spike's identity a few months before they planned to have a child. It was risky business, since they were sure the baby would be a Beast-Human, and not unlike a hybrid. Despite that, Spike wanted to raise a powerful and capable child - similar to a heir, if you will - to hopefully find a mate and pass on his lifestyle to the future generation of their family.

Time passed, and Finn's parents grew more anxious, yet ready to see what he could do. As he grew, more cat-like features began to appear; fangs were growing in as his baby teeth were lost, his fingernails were growing into claws, and his ears were becoming more furry and pointed at the tips. He even grew a tail. Things were looking up when he began developing abilities beyond what humans could do, including having quite a few senses and qualities enhanced. Even though this growth was late in his life, Spike was ready for his child to surpass him and his expectations, and Gabriel was looking forward to seeing the excitement blossom in her husband.

Needless to say, they were let down by one simple fact.

Finn couldn't shift.

That trait was the one quality Spike was counting on being passed down, and it wasn't inherited by his child when it should've been, at the age of 6. Gabriel convinced him to wait longer for the trait to develop, and so they did. A year later, and he still couldn't shift fully. He was truly a Beast-Human. Spike was very disappointed in him, and so his parents decided to have another child. This one, a female, would hopefully show more promise... and she did. When Finn was 12 years old, his little stuck-up sister inherited their father's qualities much faster than he did, and thus, showed a lot more promise than he ever could. She didn't like him at all; in fact, she hated him. She hated him so much that whenever he had to "play" with her, she was extremely violent with him and was even quick and nimble enough to make multiple attempts on his life, something he isn't willing to admit to anyone. But he wasn't too let down by the fact that his parents were disappointed in him... he was still apart of the family... right?

About a year later, his parents were delighted when Finn's sister shifted for the first time. They celebrated, putting Finn at ease, but hey, at least he was still in the family. The next morning, when he awakened, no sounds of shuffling feet or busy people could be heard in his home at all like usual. He explored the house thoroughly, calling for his parents, heck, even his perfect little sister, but he couldn't find anyone. His enhanced hearing and sight told him the harsh truth before it could naturally set in; he had been abandoned. Everything except for his belongings was packed and gone, and every bed was made. The entire house was cleaned up for the most part, and looked as though no one had ever lived in it. He didn't think his parents could be this cruel to him. He couldn't understand, couldn't ever wish to understand...

At the same time, he heard a bit of commotion outside, just before a traumatic meltdown could take place. When he managed to take a look from inside the house, he saw soldiers getting ready to enter his home. It didn't take long for him to figure out that these soldiers were from the CCO, an organization he had been repeatedly told and warned about by his parents before he was considered a disappointment. He was terrified, thinking he would spend the rest of his life in containment, or even worse, he would end up dead.

But it wouldn't end there. He was determined not to let it end there. He managed to gather as much of his belongings as possible, including a bunny headband that his mother had gotten him - only for his father to immediately take it away - and escaped from his own home without the CCO being able to discover his presence. He always kept the headband on as a symbol of independence and the moment when he defied his parent's wishes. He knew, deep inside, that they had called the CCO and then fled without a trace. It was then that he opted to try and isolate any good will he had towards them, even forget them while he was at it.

He was doing well on his own by the time he was 16. He had sustained a jagged scar across his chest, but otherwise, he was doing okay. He was also trying to avoid the CCO as much as possible, however, they eventually got the best of him. He somehow encountered his sister, now older, and of course, she knocked him out immediately, bound him to a tree, and left him weakened and unable to defend himself as he was found and captured, set to be included in the ICC.

Extra:
 • Sexuality: Pansexual
 • His main aspiration in life is to finally be seen as a success or significant in someone's eyes. He believes he can only be at peace in his mind with the knowledge that at least one person doesn't think he's a failure of a living being.
 • Frail, but quick on his feet.
 • He tries to forget about his family, but has nightmares about them frequently.
 • His bunny headband is his most prized possession, and he will become angry if someone tries to take it away.
 • His eyes narrow further whenever he is angry, determined or concentrating.
 • He isn't intimidated by many things; ever since he was seen as a disappointment, he trained his psyche and himself in general in order to somehow live up to the wishes he would never truly be able to live up to. Hunting for him is less of a necessity and more of a hobby.
 • He is capable of surviving on his own, however, he wouldn't mind having company that doesn't want to kill or hurt him.
 • He wants to make friends, but before his capture, he didn't really trust anyone, especially after what happened with his family.
 • He hates water, car rides (or riding in vehicles in general), loud noises, taking medication, injections, cold food, sweet food, and being stared at.
 • His abdominal area is more sensitive than the rest of his body.
 • He needs more sleep than most people... or at least, he thinks he does. He loves sleeping.
 • He gave himself the nickname "Flopsy" because of the headband he wears; plus he thinks the name is the best name for a bunny.

@TheMossKnight the world seemed pretty dark (specifically referring to the fact that the hybrids killed a lot of people), so I kinda went with that and created an insane child with no conscience, but if you want me to tone it back i can do that too

Name: Rebekkah (Last Name Unknown)

Age: 12

Gender(doesn't have to be binary): Female

Mutant or Human: Mutant

Power or Mutation: Umbrakinesis, can summon/talk to shadow creatures (but they don't have to do what she says), can shadow-walk/use shadows to get around

Appearance: Straight black hair that falls midway down her back, bangs that cover her forehead, dark brown eyes, pale skin, thin/gaunt, typically has dark circles under eyes

History: When she was born and first opened her eyes, they were completely black. Her mother knew immediately that her daughter was something other than human, and left her at an orphanage. By that time, Rebekkah's eyes had faded back to dark brown, and so the Sisters at the orphanage had no idea she was anything other than human. The children around her, however, could tell that she wasn't like them, and so excluded her from their games. That fact alone probably extended their lives by a few years. Rebekkah is of the mindset that if you don't bother her, she won't bother you, and so she was perfectly happy retreating to her attic room, ignoring everyone around her, and focusing on her real friends. She wasn't entirely sure what they were, but she knew that she liked them more than humans. At first, they would whisper in her ear at night, but as she grew stronger she was able to summon them so that they could play with her. Although the shadow creatures meant her no harm, surrounding a young child with creatures of darkness isn't very good for their sanity, and as a result Rebekkah became only slightly insane. The tipping point came when a "nice" family tried to adopt her. Rebekkah went along with it, up until she dropped a plate at dinner. The plate broke, and the father went into a fit (This wasn't as sudden as Rebekkah remembers it. The father had never really wanted to adopt Rebekkah, and had slowly been growing angrier about it for the past several months. There were warning signs, of course, but Rebekkah completely missed them.) He began yelling about how she should be grateful to him for all that he had done. Rebekkah wasn't really paying attention, up until he backhanded her. After a moment of shock, Rebekkah killed him. It was quite simple really, a well-placed spear of darkness finished the job. The father had no combat experience, and so was unable to dodge. The mother, for some reason, began screaming and crying, and then called the police. Rebekkah found her noisy and annoying, and so went back to her room. When the police and then the soldiers from the CCO came, they found her sitting on her bed playing with a doll. When asked why she had done it, Rebekkah replied, "Done what?" They tried to imprison her in various institutions and prisons, but Rebekkah never liked the food they had there and simply shadow-walked out. That is, of course, until they decided to send her to the ICC. Rebekkah had a feeling that it would be much harder (impossible, actually) to escape from here.

Extra: physically very weak, mostly relies on her powers to protect her, lots of trust issues, is kind of anti-social towards humans but has never met another mutant so she doesn't know how she feels about them, her eyes go black when she uses her powers, semi-enjoyed the looks of fear the police officers gave her when they saw what she had done and now tries to creep people (authority figures specifically) out on purpose, besides detecting fear is not very good at reading social cues/inferring what others are feeling, bleeds darkness

((May I reserve the scientist researching applications to weaponry? :3))

Name: Dr. Carter Anderson

Age: 27

Gender(doesn't have to be binary): Male

Mutant or Human: Human

If Human scientist state one of the 4 divisions for research: Weaponry

Appearance:
Since he isn't one who does heavy, physical labor beyond tinkering with various pieces of technology, Carter is not a man with a whole lot of muscle. Although, he is still fit. Degradation of his body would impede on his ability to conduct further experiments and breakthroughs. Throwing a punch might hurt, but he definitely isn't going to be able to knock someone out with just his bare hands. Luckily enough for him, technology does quite a good job of leveling most playing fields if you are clever enough and he is certainly quite clever. When it comes to his height, he is pretty average at 5'10". To go along with his personal maintenance, proper amounts of sunlight are in order. So, he isn't nearly as pale as you might expect. However, with his inclination to research, develop, and test technologies which could be considered to be dangerous, his body is not free from scars. Small nicks and burns adorn his hands and arms. A very large area of skin discolored from burns resides just below his shoulder and spreads over much of the upper right side of his chest. All in all, he is someone who can catch the gazes of those he passes, his features being over all handsome with an almost regal look about him that might give the impression of coldness upon first meeting him. His eyes are angular, holding a caramel brown color within an observant gaze. Not in a calculating way, but more so as if he is trying to understand that person; like every person is a new discovery which he could unravel. Seeing as some hairstyles require far too much maintenance, Carter keeps his dark brown hair short so that he doesn't have to deal with it.

When it comes to clothing and equipment, Carter prefers comfort over professionalism as it aid him while working to be comfortable. A simple grey shirt, blue jeans, a pair of shoes which fit securely, and a lab coat are what typically round out his clothing choices. A device that is secured over his left ear and appears to be almost like half a pair of glasses. The device shows data and information that he requests on the lens as well as analyzing things in his line of sight all thanks to a specially designed AI assistant program he created. He might also have a couple other odds and ends he might be working on or think he might need in a certain scenario. It is not a good idea to underestimate his ability to prepare.

History:
Born to absentee parents, Carter spent much of his life in the care of nannies and other such babysitters. Honestly, he saw more of them than his own parents. Busy with there own high-paying careers, they had little time for their own son. It had bothered him at some point but, by his early teens, that feeling of missing them along with any hope of actually being a family had long since passed. In their stead, an interest in science and technology had firmly taken hold of him. Most of his waking moments were spent learning how things worked as well as seeing how things could be improved. From a young age, his intelligence and aptitude showed strongly. It was only in his late teens that his parents began to show interest in him, seeing him as both as their legacy as well as a way to advance their own careers. Quite bluntly, he did not care about them nor their careers but their paying for his top quality education was enough to keep him in line. A proper lab with an immense amount of resources, how could he say no?

However, things did not go smoothly forever. Years passed and Carter had managed to earn his doctorate at the age of twenty-three. Despite receiving a number of accolades and praise, he soon became unsatisfied with the limitations of the scientific community. They were all so focused on such nearsighted things as well as simply recreating past experiments. He wanted to find the edge of the map and discover that there is no edge! He wanted to not be limited by such things like should he do something and simply see if he could do it! Explore areas of research that no one had thought to before or had deemed too dangerous to explore, that is what he truly wanted. In secret, his experiments proceeded but all could not be hidden forever. Just as the authorities were about to take him in, Carter disappeared along with all his research data. Everything else in his lab was destroyed.

Soon, he had hidden himself among a group of outlaws who agreed to fund his research in exchange for him supplying them new, cutting edge weapons to help them seize control of their district from their rivals. Carter readily agreed. The only thing that mattered was his ability to continue researching as he liked, what people did with his research was beyond his control. Someone would use the technology he created to kill others. Whether it was to protect people or harm them, people would still be dying. So, it mattered little to him what side he allied with. His research would be used to hurt and control others no matter what he did, that was the destiny of weapon advancement. Sure, you could play it up like it would be used to protect but, in the end, someone would end up dying. The easiest solution would be for him to simply stop his research but he knew that he could never do that. It was his purpose. His reason to live. Death would be welcome more than being unable to further his research.

Once more, his sanctuary was disturbed by the collapse of the band of outlaws at the hands of the authorities and soon he was captured as well. Faced with the possibility of imprisonment, a surprising opportunity was give to him. Carter received an offer to work on a project where he would be studying mutants to see if their mutations could be put to use in developing weapons. It was an effort meant for the protection of humankind, so at least it would not weigh as heavily on his conscience if he joined up with them. While he had no disdain for mutants, the opportunity to continue his research in a completely new direction was something he could not resist. His agreement to join the project was almost immediate.

Extra:
- Despite how it may sound, he is not some cold and calculating scientist. He is capable of compassion and mercy even though it is edged with logical thinking.
- Will treat mutants with civility and often kindness. Both because he finds it beneficial for them to like him but he also sees them as "humans with special circumstances" and "genetic marvels" so he treats them like any other human or better than humans at times.
- Is rather attention starved, so he can be manipulated somewhat by using this to ones advantage. To an extent.

History: Garth got his mutant genes from his father, a man with supernatural mutations-- someone who had been created and built upon the fantasies and legends of creatures who go bump in the night-- known as Phantasiae viventem. He was created in 1951, but escaped not long later in 1952 which he then proceeded to take ip the human name of Kaidan Orval. At the time of his escale he killed the only people who would hace been able to recognize him, or who kbew ahout the project, allowing him to easily integrate into spciety and build a name for himself. Were any normal human to find out of Kaidan being a mutant, he would slay them withput hesitation and it would seem if the person had just disappeared. Despite having lived many many years, his appearance changed none over his lifetime and led to him wanting the affection of a biologist named Magee Nudara. Naturally, things didn't work out between the two, but it was already too late and Garth was born not long later. When he was born, Garth was small and cold. There was no way he should have survived or been living in the first place, but still he would laugh and cry like any other child. Originally his mother had thought perhaps it was a disorder or disease, but as time passed and his powers developed beyond just the cold, she came to quickly realize he was by no means human. She had been going to report Kaidan to the CCO, but naturally the man had held Garth over her head saying that if she outed him, he would out her son. Naturally, Magee kept his secret. Magee's studies quickly shifted to studying mutants in an effort to learn more and possibly expand her knowledge on how to properly care for her son. She raised Garth as if he was a human, or at least as much as she could considering her son could float. He attended school up until he was 7, when his eyes finally began to glow and him not knowing how to stop it. After that, his mother had homeschooled him, also leading to her building some theories on how he might change over the years. Through her studies, Garth gained plenty of interaction despite being homeschooled. His mother's assistants loved him and he was more than allowed to roam as he pleased despite his mother's research. Even then he would get to interact with other mutants, befriending some and getting harmed by others through his efforts to sometimes protect others from mutants who lashed out unsreasonably. Through any amount of time spent around him, every intern came to deeply like the boy and never want to give him over. Once the Magee's research was done with a mutant, she would hand the dangerous ones over to the CCO and allow the more docile, safe, lucid, or sentient ones be taken in by others. Lucky for him, he could also go outside and such so long as he wore sunglasses which was helpful to his mentality. Of course his mother was still afraid for him since he was a mutant, knowing that humans would not take kindly to him no matter how 'human' he might look, and naturally most mutants disliked him for similar reason. Anytime he did go out, she had him keep close and hide his powers and eyes. Eventually when Garth was 13, he finally got to meet his father. Things hadn't gone well, the man had come in an attempt to take him from his mother now that it was certain Garth was a mutant. Naturally he rebeled, something which hadn't ended well for him but had chased his father away in the end. Not before Garth had gotten a lengthy monologue and figured out who the man was of course. At 16, one day Magee had disappeared. Garth continued to maintain her lab and cared for the other mutants to keep them healthy and alive, but the lab assistamts eventually began to give in one by one figuring that Magee would call them once she returned. Eventually due to a lack of mutant dilvery that month, the CCO came looking and found him there with the other mutants, taking all that was there due to the disappearance of Magee. After an accidental finding of old mutant DNA records, they traced his bloodline back to Phantasiae viventem. It was obvious Garth was not that project, and his powers were not yet anywhere near those of his father, but still they decided to put him into the ICC project. There is a dull hope that perhaps they will eventually learn the were abouts of the old supernatural project, but that is knowledge Garth has decided to keep to himself for the time being as he doesn't want the man to possibly end up in the same place as him. That and he's unsure if he'll need some sort of thing he can offer just in case worse comes to worse. A rumor has been floating around that Magee never went missing. That instead the capture was on purpose, and that she rose into the ranks of the CCO. However such a rumor has yet to show any truth to it. Her mother had been human with a distant insect beast ancestor, and a long departed reptilian beast father. Her mother had been surprised as she held the little bundle to her chest, the strange purple markings on her child going from the base of her throat down to her frail chest along with the thin keratin appendages fluttering wetly. Her mother had cried then, her face that was already red and damp from exertion moving down to nuzzle against her childs small chest. The lack of a midwife only helped her in keeping her daughters curse a secret.

Her mother would keep her locked up, claiming that her only daughter had a sensitivity to light and a poor immune system that kept her in the house. While her mother would work, young Joan would try to find out what her abilities were while she worked on homework. This lie that the two had created would work for years until one day an accident happened. Her mother had been depositing her check at the bank when a robber had come in. The thief wasn't experienced and when faced with the cops he took a hostage, Joans own mother who pleaded to the man to let her go so that she wouldn't leave her daughter. One of the officers had pulled the trigger, thinking that he had a good shot on the man, but at the last second he had moved. Joans mother died that day, held in the arms of the man who had tried to steal her money but ended up stealing her life instead.

Seeing the event play out on the news when her mother failed to come home on time gave Joan just enough to grab the to-go bag that her mother had made for an occasion just like this before leaving her family home behind. She had been fourteen at the time as she moved to join the homeless community. Nobody looked twice at an orphan girl on the streets with only a black rucksack slung across her shoulders, and she survived in that anonymity for another ten years before another event sent her on the run from a far more dangerous foe. A man had come up to her, expecting things that no woman who didn't work the streets would give out, so she rejected his advance and his offer.

The male didn't take her denial well, immediately pushing her into an alley and against a wall and trying to take what he wanted. Take being the operative word as she used her ability to deactivate his heart permanently and watching him drop dead. That was what got the CCO on her case in the first place. It would then take them another fie years before they finally pinned her location down and succeeded in finally taking her in.

Extra:
 • Her insect-like fins are extremely sensitive and can sense changes in the weather or surroundings. They are also extremely delicate and covered in a thin powder that assists her in using her abilities.
 • Her scales are extremely thick, allowing for a great protection against most outside forces. Extreme cold, rain and heat can pierce that protection though due to the sensitivity of her more insect-like parts.
 • Easily falls asleep in any vehicle no matter how energetic she was when she gets in. Speaking of sleep she has the unnatural ability to fall asleep in any position imaginable.
 • Has a horrible sweet tooth, and will do practically anything for a good sweet. Joan also loves cherries as well and if the two are combined then she will practically wag her tail in happiness.
 • Pansexual and loves to snuggle.
 • Her chest has intricate glowing markings that match her beast forms. They only truly glow when she is experiencing strong emotions.
