Gonna start bumping this with general tips; the first one will come tomorrow afternoon!

Writing Tip #1: If you're struggling for length, a good boost is simply describing any smaller character motions alongside whatever is being spoken (or accompanying the main action).
So instead of
You can do:

Both are the same line, but one adds more expression to the phrase!

Character Tip #1: If you try to make your character seem cool by only giving them "cool" traits, then "cool" is now just standard and nothing about them would stand out. Same thing goes with nice characters-- not everything about them has to be the absolutely kindest thing possible, then it loses it's impact. Characters need a variety of traits to stay rounded and almost feel like real people-- so if you want them to be cool, just give them a couple cool traits, not drown them in it!
