!!! I like them! (I actually just spend the last several minutes rewriting some old lore here and there and collecting my hearty pirate crew!)
The crew of the JOYOUS GALE:
Captain Kailani. Leads the charge against an ever-growing darkness that she spies along the horizon of the future. Leads her crew on adventures, rescuing and aiding folks, trading goods, occaccionally plays the fiddle.
-Doesn’t typically use the sails, primarily uses her control over water/water magicks to propel her ship.
-A skilled singer and violinist, starts up shanties with her crew/passengers
-An avid fighter, skilled with magic, bow, tooth and claw.
Herobrine the Scout. Flies far ahead along the ships plotted course, and returns with news of folks in trouble, storms, or interesting loot that they could scavenge. Is close friends with the Good Doctor*, who occasionally travels with the crew. He was murdered by an unknown assailant, and consequently brought back to life through the efforts of Sunshine** and Yuna***.
-Can keep himself aloft for hours on end, retained some of his old wind magic despite his new element
-A keen memory, he can draw up maps of places he’s been long ago (though the accuracy of those places will be off due to the passage of time)
-Is very friendly, usually acts as a kind of ambassador when his crew sets ashore or meets with other ships
The Merchant, Dahlia. With an eye for valuables and a talent for haggling, Dahlia has traveled all over the realm of Sornieth, making a profit finding, buying, and selling rare artifacts and other items of all sorts. They are devoted to the crew of the
Joyous Gale, though they don’t have much skill in fighting.
-Keeps a special globe that helps them to track other places in Sornieth, most notably locations where good trade or new riches can be found
-Has an eye for liars and miscreants, so they pretty much always know if someone is trying to rip them off.
-Not very good in combat, prefers to hang back, but they will not cower away when their crew mates are in danger

DoctorWho, the (former) Inventor. Blinded and crippled years before, the inventor and peacemaker mostly wanders the realm of Sornieth. Some time ago, he met with an old friend, one whom was going through a crisis of identity and change in his very magic. The Good Doctor was able to aid the Scout, and calm him. In time, he agreed to travel for a time with Herobrine’s crew, despite the increased difficulty caused by lack of earth.
-With the aid of his technology and a few specially crafted charms, The Good Doctor can fly for short bits of time.
-Can interact with spirits; a few in particular help him whenever he has to fly in an emergency
-His Earth magic allows him to “see” the world around him, and interact fairly well, but in the air (or on a wooden ship) he’s blind and helpless all over again.
The first three are the main (and only) crew aboard Kailani’s ship, the
Joyous Gale, though I threw in DoctorWho since he travels with/interacts with them most frequently when the trio goes ashore. As for Sunshine and Yuna, ehhhh, I can put them up too if you’re curious, or you can click on Kailani; I actually have the pair of magic-users posted in her bio.
