WARNING much reading ahead.

Kay so basically this is undertale, but with multiple kids on the journey instead of just one. The plot of Undertale is essentially - a long time ago, think medieval times, humans and monsters were both dominant species aboveground. Humans became jealous/fearful of monsters' kind nature and magical abilities, and so humans (who are physically much stronger than monsters) attacked the monster population.
Since the attack was so sudden, they won quickly and imprisoned all monsters underground with a spell, known as the Barrier. It takes 7 human souls and 1 monster soul to break the Barrier.

In this version of the story, instead of the player being the seventh human to fall underground, all seven humans fall at the same time. They do not know each other beforehand. Basically, y'all gotta get through the underground without being murdered by monsters, and (maybe) find some backstory on the first ever human who fell down? I mean the monsters have 0 souls so clearly they didn't kill the first human... however, they don't seem super inclined to befriend you, either.

Most human SOULs come in different colours, each corresponding to a certain trait. (all humans possess some determination, but Red SOULs are made entirely of this trait. this makes them very powerful, but very dangerous.)

Red SOULs belong to the most determined of humans. These humans are free to move around and do whatever they want in battle. The most determined human alive at a point in time is granted the power to reset time to a certain point (basically checkpoints). However, determined humans are easiest to distract from their goals and morals, and they can become megalomaniacs very easily.

Orange SOULs belong to the bravest of humans. These humans are noticeably faster to move around in battle, and they can run right through some attacks without taking damage (as long as they remain in motion). However, these humans often find it difficult to stay still during battle, and as a result might slam face first into a wall or an oncoming attack.

Yellow SOULs belong to the most just (the fairest) of humans. Yellow SOULs appear as an upside-down heart, instead of right side up like other human SOULs. These humans are sometimes able to use whatever weapon they possess as a gun - using their own SOULpower, they can re-attack an attack... basically, they can shoot stuff during battle, even when it isn't their turn. However, these humans can't use their special ability if their HP is less than 1/3.

Green SOULs belong to the kindest of humans. As well as having a larger inventory than most humans (14 spaces instead of 8), they can heal 1HP to anyone during a battle during their turn. They can attack if they wish, but for the most part, their weapon serves as a shield which they use to deflect attacks. However, they are not able to flee during a battle, or move at all. They must stand in place and deflect attacks.

Cyan SOULs belong to the most patient of humans. They can stand still and hold their breath for (super crazy) long periods of time, and certain attacks will not cause them harm if they do so. In addition, they are sometimes able to master the ability of standing so still, they become translucent and very difficult to see. However, these humans are often slower to move around during battle.

Blue SOULs belong to the humans with the most integrity (morals). They are able to jump extremely high and with enough practice, stay in the for quite long. They are also quite agile and can dodge attacks well. However, during battle, they can't move side to side - to avoid attacks, they have to jump.

Purple SOULs belong to the humans with the most perseverance. They are able to keep running around for a long time, enough to tire their opponent out completely. If they take damage from an attack, it takes 10 seconds before they can take any more damage. They can also teleport during battle - however, they can only teleport to the left, right, or center of a battlefield, and hardly move forward or backward.

Personality: Libby is a smart girl. She makes snap judgments based on her moral code- Help when you can, help when you can’t, don’t help those who have proven themselves to be problematic or hateful. She dislikes fighting and prefers to talk problems out. She’s calm and rational and has learned how to deal with moral dilemmas- stick to what you think is correct, and if it isn’t, apologize for your mistake and move on and be a better person so you don’t make that mistake again. She can come off as a bit rude, as even though she listens to others, she rarely takes their advice and prefers to rely on herself.

Appearance: Alexandra generally has her dark brown hair usually tied in a braid, or a ponytail if she didn’t have much time. Her skin is naturally a medium tan, with dark freckles dotted around her cheeks. She has light hazel eyes with flecks of dark brown in them. Alex’s sturdily built form stands at around 4’11” currently. She commonly wears jackets and hoodies to protect against the mountainside town’s chilly weather. Alexandra also wears jeans ripped and torn from continuous use, along with a fair of ill-fitting work boots that are worn down and are in desperate need of replacement.
Personality: Alexandra’s preservesance reflects in her willingness to survive. Even though she harbors a carefree attitude, Alex will do almost anything to preserve her life. Riviera is curious, however, and is always up for an adventure. She prefers to have an energetic atmosphere around her, and enjoys telling jokes. Her style of humor is often dark and witty, but she does try her best to be creative. A couple of self loathing jokes can be heard coming from Alex’s mouth, too, and most times they relate to her views on herself more than one would wish. Alexandra is sensitive about her short stature, but can easily tell a well intended joke from a malicious one. If she catches you making snide comments, you best get ready to rumble.
