She woke up before the sun.
The splotched she-cat was sitting, tail waving slowly across the ground as she tried it blink away the sleep from her eyes. This morning was here’s, a dawn patrol lead by her. She had to pick two other cats to follow her journey through the territory. She already had known one cat, but the other had taken a while to choose, in the end her two picks were Frogeyes and Mumblesong. Both warriors were vastly different, but both quite skilled.

Cricketstep rose to her feet, shaking her head gently before proceeding to pad her way to the warrior den. Her fur shuffled while she walked, making it look like she was speckled with ink that was still wet and running across her hide. As she dipped her head under the brambles that housed her fellow cats, she gently prodded the closest cat with her paw, taking int he sight of the pale tan fur.

“Hey, Mumblesong, wake up, dawn patrol,” She murmured, before turning and making her way through the warm sleeping bodies to nip at the older toms ear, “Frogeyes, wake up, you mousebrained grump,” her tone was playful, but definitely not as gentle as it was with Mumblesong.

Without waiting for a response, she hopped out of the den, shaking her fur out, and licking the fluff on her stomach down again, grooming herself as she waiting for her ‘friends’to making their way out, into the dark camp. Cricketstep claws slid in and out against the ground, as her moved her tongue to her left paw, licking between her toe beans and her pads. The trees shifted into the wind, creating a slight howling, which pricked at the she-cats fur, the sleeping camp was still unsettling, that she was alone, but she couldn’t let that get to her. She had to pay attention to the now and not what could happen. Her only thought now was to thoroughly check the border, and try to inpress that one cat who had been rejecting her for moons, many moons. She would do it eventually... or just get rejected for a last time and live alone forever. Whichever came first.

Briarpaw couldn’t sleep.
Her paws were shaking as she glaring into the darkness, her fur prickling. The wind sent shivers down her spine as the bushes surrounding her home shook. This wasn’t fair. She shouldn’t be here, she should be in the medicine den, curled up with the smells of herbs tickling her nose. Not here, on the edge of camp, shivering in the cold. She wasn’t supposed to be up, but she couldn’t keep staying in that cramped bush of a den. The sun was due to rise soon, but that was the only thing Briarpaw wa a looking forward to.

She hated all the fighting. The next gathering was to occur soon, but if that meant more bickering, she would get to interact with those other than the foxdung she had to live with. Maybe if she sat here long enough, she could become apart of the forest an no one would bother her again.

Shaking her head out, she told herself that was not a good plan. Her life was good, she had grown up loved, and with a relatively peaceful upbringing. She just wanted to be able to actually help people, or find another cat her age who was interested in her. Or maybe she could find a miracle cure for some new illness.

The cat stood up, planting her paws against the ground and digging her claws into the mud. She pushed herself forward, padding through the camp and silently ducking under some branches into the Warrior den. She curled up between two of the Warriors, Silksong and Featherstep, using their warmth to warm her small and freezing one.

Twitchfoot woke up with a jolt and hissed under his breath trying to not wake the cats around him. He gave himself a quick groom before trotting out of the warriors den, curling his tail when he saw Brairpaw cuddled up with the others. He gazed out to the clan and sighed, waiting quietly for someone to wake up and go on a patrol with him. He flicked his tail and curled up into a small ball, looking like he slept outside the night before.

Wonder when Cloudclan will stop fighting us. Hopefully soon! Twitchfoot thought that with a shudder and unsheathed his claws, raking them against the leafy floor. He did not enjoy everything that was happening very much, but Palestar had made these decisions so he should trust in his leader to do the right thing!

He stood up, growing impatient and walked back to the den. He had decided a cat he wanted to go with and stepped around the sleeping cats 'till he got to Thorntail. "Hey! Would you like to go hunting? I've heard from one of the cats in Cloudclan that it's better to go earlier." He whispered, tapping him lightly to wake him up a little.

mumblesong ;; cloudclan warrior ;; cloudclan camp ;; mentions : cricketstep, frogeyes (@ponsi), open

Mumblesong was barely roused at all from her rest. She was best described an airhead, living in her daydreams (and dreams); so it wasn't surprising when she refused to immediately awake from her sleep. The feline groaned, forcing themselves up from their comfortable position. Mumblesong could hardly register her surroundings in her extremely groggy state, only remembering Cricketstep's reminder for a dawn patrol.

She was lazy, somewhat, but she didn't deny her duties.

Yawning, she strode over to Frogeyes, that was also yet to awake. "Come along, Frog," she mutters softly. Her voice was similar to the garble of a bird, thin yet melodious. Her pale paw extends forward, swatting gently at the bulkier cat's head before she made her way outside the den.

The moment she was exposed in the forest's presence, she was instantly greeted by the prevalent cool, orange tang of the morning air. Her soft fur lightly bristled in the faint, but crisp morning breeze. Mumblesong hoped that the mood today would be as relaxing as the calming ambiance as of the moment.

"Cricketstep," she calls, silently approaching the mentioned feline. "Which territories are we scouting? I'm worried for an encounter with Pineclan." Mumblesong bit her lip slightly, briefly pondering her thoughts.

"I'm guessing that their early members would be perhaps be hunting somewhere along the eastern boundaries. Should we avoid them, or directly confront them and chase them off?"

let's pretend that theyre opposite from each other (e.g. cloudclan is on the left, & pineclan is on the right. PC's western borders are CC's eastern borders ;; )

Snowstar l:l Cloudclan Camp l:l Mentions: No-one
Snowstar is still asleep.

Thorntail l:l Pineclan Camp l:l Mentions: Twitchfoot, Briarpaw, Featherstep
Thorntail yawned, then stood and streached his back. He then sat back down quickly to reserve what little heat had not already faded from the nest. He began to groom removing the small bits of moss that had gotten stuck in his fur. He finished, spitting out a poece of moss. "Of course, hunting sounds wonderful. Though I doubt Cloudclan would share such secrets with the likes of you.". He made his voice sound high and haughty. "The Pineclan filth that you are.". He coughed and chuckled.

Thorntail stood and carefully stepped out of his nest, avoiding stepping on anyone carefully. He glanced around the den and sighed softly. He watched her shiver for a moment and it made his decision for him. "Just you and me today, we'll let everybody else sleep. Its too early to bother anyone else. Lets go.". He exited the den, taking the small path between nests to avoid waking anyone up. He missed hunting with Dayskip, she was always up for it, no matter the time.

Dayskip l:l Pineclan Camp, Nursery l:l Mentions: No-one
Dayskip woke with a start, panting in terror. A dream had scared her, and her heart was racing. She had drempt that her kits, with their eyes and ears barely open had been forced to fight in a great bloody battle, fire and lightning raging around them as they struggled to stay upright, slipping in blood soaked grass. She had only been able to watch in terror as the kits fell one by one. Her kits weren't even born and the thought of them comming to harm already terrified her. Even in the calming warm of the milk scented den she couldn't calm herself. She would have to go get some poppy seads or something from Rowanstreak or Plumpaw. She stood with a groan and padded heavily to the entery of the den. She stopped in the entery as a wave of pure cold. She considered shouting for a warrior to fetch one of the medicine cats, then cursed herself. When did she get so weak? She padded back down to her nest and laid down with a womph of breath. She could fall asleep on her own. She laid her head on her paws and closed her eye.

Twitchfoot hopped out of the den and gave a small laugh. "Yeah, thats true, I just wanted to wake you up." He softly padded to the entrance, his fur ruffling in the cold. "Also, I can wait if you want to talk to Dayskip. Only if you want to though!" He gave a nervous laugh, having no experience with mates of any kind. His tail twitched as he thoughtfully glanced at the nursery, kind of expecting kits to pop out at any moment. He remembered a time when there were kits around. Maybe Adderpaw's litter?

He rubbed his cheek to his shoulder, trying to make a spark of warmth. Hopefully greenleaf would come soon he thought with a sigh. Great prey was all he needed right now. Squirrels sounded good. Twitch began to daydream about prey, his tail swishing on the ground a little too hard.

He snapped out of it and growled to stop doing that at himself. There were too many times when he did that and missed prey. It was getting to a point that he thought his clanmates were noticing it. Twitchfoot shook out his doubt and calmly waited for Thorntail.

Rowanstreak | Pineclan Camp | Medicine Cat | Interactions: Dayskip

Rowanstreak yawned groggily, his sharp blue eyes soon opening. He yawned and stretched his limbs. He then climbed to his paws, stretching out his paws even more. His ears and tail twitched and he shook his paws slightly letting all feeling go into his limbs. He quickly looked over his den noticing his still sleeping apprentice, he decided he let him still sleep.

So as not to disturb Plumpaw he lightly padded over to the herb stores. He glanced over the herbs, the storages still seemed to be well stocked, but he figured he should probably sort and count the herbs. So the tom sat down to begin sorting the herbs. As he was just sorting the marigold apart from the rest and counting how much he had, he then suddenly remembered he should check on Dayskip.

Rowanstreak lightly stepped out of the medicine den. He quickly looked over the mostly empty camp. He stepped across the grass and towards the nursery. He silently stepped into the nursery, to see Dayskip laying down with her eyes closed. He figured that she probably was still asleep, but he still wanted to check. "Dayskip?" He asked softly, it was loud enough to hear if she was awake, but quiet enough to not bother her if she was asleep.

Thorntail l:l Pineclan Camp l:l Mentions: Twitchfoot
Thorntail flicked his tail. "Nah, she's probably asleep still, I wouldn't want to bother her.". In all realty Thorntail wanted to visit Dayskip more tahn anything, but he was scared his presence might worry her in some way, and he hated to think that way. He followed Twitchfoot's glance to the nursery, but looked away just as quickley. It was just first time parent anxity, but it affected him terribly. "What are we waiting for? Daybreak?".

Thorntail brushed aginst aginst Twitchfood in assurance. "Come on, lets go, no need to wait longer and make us both anxious.". He padded across the clearing and exited the camp, shivering as the frost covered ferns that hid the entrence brushed aginst his pelt. Pausing for a moment he took a deep breath, the cold air stinging his lungs. Scents of nature and earth filled his lungs. All the prey scents near camp were thin and old, they would have to go further out in their search for food.

Dayskip l:l Pineclan Camp, Nursery l:l Mentions: Rowanstreak
Dayskip raised her head and opened her eyes. She blinked a couple of times to adjust to the now brighter light and focused on the dark brown cat in the entery way. "Rowanstreak? I'm awake, you can come in.". She yawned, but didn't stand. " It's afuallly early, I didn't think anyone would be up. Through its good to have someone to talk to.". The herbal scent of the medicine cat mixed with the smell of the milk, spicing up the sweet scent. The sour scent of Dayskip's earlier terror was almost completely masked.

Rowanstreak | Pineclan Nursery | Medicine Cat | Interactions: Dayskip

Rowanstreak smiled softly to the queen. He entered the nursery fully at her invitation, his paw steps still light though. "I've dealt with many pregnant queens in my time, I've learned by this point that they can be quite restless, which involves being awake early." He said kindly, and comfortingly. "And after all the work of a medicine cat never ends." He said, he had occasionally stayed up all night before tending to the sick or wounded cats of his clan.

Rowanstreak smelt the normal scent of the nursery, although something seemed to be slightly off about the scent, although he couldn't quite place what it was. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked Dayskip.

Cricketstep;;Cloudclan Warrior;;Cloudclan Camp;;Mentions:Mumblesong, Frogeyes

Cricketsteps fur rose for that quick second that she heard her name. Mumblesong voice had scared her, startling even though she knew it was coming. He brain had assumed it would take longer for the she at to wake up, but it is as it is.

She turned her speckled face to look the Warrior in the eyes, her fur slowly settling back down to rest on her back. She a small shake it finally settled down all the way and she felt confortable speaking again.

After listening to Mumblesong, it too all of Cricketsongs willpower not to let out a laugh. She was so serious, and it was only the morning. It was kind of funny seeing the she-cat to worried.

“Oh, Mumblesong, don’t worry, I’ll protect you from that Pineclan scum,” She purred, the chuckle finally falling out of her mouth.
