That scent, it was one he could never forget, and it drove him onward. How long had they been apart now? Years it seemed-and likely had been, as time seemed to blend together for him. The two of them had been inseparable, the perfect pair but then one day she was gone. Vanished without a trace and he had spent the following seasons tracking her down.

Finally it was becoming reality.

However, getting close to her was going to prove harder than it seemed because he was presently being harassed by a very aggressive Slightwing. This caused two thoughts to come to his mind, the first being that the coloration was very fitting if it was bonded to his beloved, the second was that SHE WOULD befriend this creature out of all of them. He was fairly certain it's behavior was out of character so he was absolutely convinced it wasn't coincidence.

Muttering to himself he kept moving along the path he had taken but the bird was not letting up it's insistent attacks at him. It would be easy enough for him to chomp it in half, but that wasn't something he was willing to take a chance on.
