Warning, this is my first time hosting a roleplay. Please be patient with me.

Please keep in mind that my logic permit has expired and that the 76th color of the alphabet in the exact time of a parakeet eating a pie in June is equivalent to a giant whale-eating cantaloupe allergic to a chair made out of potato salami held by a sandwich that has beetle hands.
Here are just some of the races, feel free to add your own!

Human- You know, humans. Humans are extremely flexible in their abilities, more flexible than most. They learn quickly.

Quarman- Quarmans have two sets of eyes and small horns atop their heads that vary with each individual. They are known to be talented in hand-to-hand combat and have excellent vision. They are very similar to humans, except for the eyes. Their eyes glow and reflect light in the dark like cats. Their set of eyes, the top ones, are similar to cats in the way they see in the dark. Usually, the screla of all the eyes are a different color than white.

Sahalia- Sahalia people are a common race. Owning the characteristics of a reptile with scales, horns, a tail, claws, and some even have a lizard like face. Most are strong against fire, making them good blacksmiths, muscular and quick to defend, but are also easily blinded and weaker to magic than most races. Most are slow to pick up on things, but they are loyal to those they trust. Somewhere out there, there is a secret guild of them forming...

Erufu- The most common race, they are similar to elves but with much longer pointed ears and colorful spots around the eyes. Most are known to be peaceful and obedient, they are skilled in bows and spears but cannot defend as well. They rarely wear shoes due to their customs, maybe some sandals or cloth but that's it, it's fine for them though due to how tough their feet are. Those with longer ears are more respected among their race and the spots under the eyes are unique in color and placement to each Erufu. These people have a long history of healing magic or things to do with plants, lower classes have to be careful. The emperor is known to be an Erufu or something similar.

Treydon- The Treydons are rather short height wise, they mainly use shields and short swords. They have a short tail that varies within each family and large ears of a horse. Known to be stubborn, impulsive, beer-loving, and excellent merchants. They have a way with animals, mainly horses, only those gifted with magic are extremely closely connected with animals. Treydons cannot resist gold for the life of them and can spot real from fake easily. They are the adventurous type, willing to assist in journeys if they've got nothing else to do. In large numbers, they're extremely dangerous.

Malan- The more humanoid version of merfolk. They were forced out of their once warm rivers, seeking shelter from the frost. They are lean and tall, long arms, with webbed yet clawed hands and feet, they also have gills and flat noses. They can breathe under water. Malans' complexion varies of pastel colors, they also have strong fish-like scales on their forearms and shins which are perfect for defending attacks rather than take the blow on their fragile skin which is very easy to cut. This race always carries water on their person at all times and they are experts of the rivers and sea. They are quite charming folk to be around with so they are often entertainers. When in battle, they prefer being farther away from the main brawl and provide support with their skill long ranged attacks.

Wapitan- An uncommon race, cousins of the treydon. They aren't as short as their cousins, but they do have animal like ears similar to deer that droop downward. They own black hooves instead of feet and fur on their shins and forearms. They only have four fingers which are like hooves, making it not very easy for them too hold small objects. Females only have small antlers, while the male's can grow large and impressive ones that shed every season. They are known to be talented in close range attacks and may also charge enemies with their horns. Males often are temperamental, aggressive, or mistrusting around other males of their own kind they do not know.

Gahlet- Basically, rock people. They are an uncommon race with large builds and rough skin. They usually have prized gemstones or crystals poking out from their shoulders, head, arms, or legs which can put them at risk from thieves. They are not agile, but can take a lot of hits. Usually in battle, they are the front line. They are known to have excellent long term memory but may also suffer from short term memory loss. There are a few rarer subspecies of them, molten gahlets, frost gahlets, and ect.

Dryrikin (created by @/SoulSerpent Thank you!)- Dyrikin are known to be an uncommon race, however they prefer to live in the forests and colonize their own villages but some prefer to stay in the city. Each of every Dyrikin’s scales and wings are different from one another along with their wing size. However they can only fly as high as only a very small distance farther up than forest trees and watch towers, despite how strong their wings are. With how fast they can go varies with each Dyrikin by the size of their wings, and in fact there are rare cases in the far past that other races wanted to collect their wings. But their wings usually are known to be weak until they reach teen years. The Dyrikin are also known to be cousins to the Sahalia’s, they are in fact similar in a way like being resistant to fire and loyal. Though they can react to things faster than them and sharper (more clear) eyes. Dyrikin’s usually enjoy staying close to nature no matter what situation, and in fact they even have a little magic in each and every one of them. They are weak to any type of metal but it depends on every Dyrikin, Similar to water in that sense, when touching water, especially for a certain amount of time actually burns the skin and the scales. Their common weak spot is the back of their neck, but sometimes it could be the shoulders.
(This race is not playable for now, sorry!)

Kailu- A race rarely ever seen, believed to be a myth. These secretive people are extremely gifted with magic, you can feel the magic energy just standing next to one. They hide away from the outside world in caves and ravines. There is a large variety of sub races, appearances/features are most similar to insects and tropical rainforest animals. No one knows much of anything about them...they might as well be folk tales...
(This race is not playable)

Some more lore to better fit your character in that wasn't listed in the small conversation...

Due to the strict laws against magic...The best way to hide magic is to not use it and control it from letting its energy aura surrounding you become noticeable. The better control the user has over magic and their emotions, the better they can hide it. Few users are able to use magic to hide the aura. There are a few ways to also hide the aura using some rare hard-to-get materials, and yes, there are a few small black markets dotted here and there that sell magic items and those materials, for a hefty price. There are some ways magic can be detected, the emperor has hounds and animals that can sniff out the aura as well as people appointed to specifically detect it with their own magic through a form of torture. Because the emperor has access to advanced technology, it can also detect magic, although only the "big deal" royalty people get to use it without the paperwork.

In front of a guard, if you were to show magic, you will be hunted, captured, or killed if the guards are able. In the chance that you escape, they will investigate all they can about you, your name will never be clean. Like bounties, basically. Some guards are also permitted to use magic if they have it to aid in capture. For a noble, they'd most likely tell the guards, who will always investigate, and there's also the off chance that they'll try to take care of the user themselves or even help them. It really depends on the noble. Common folk are more hesitant to tell the guards about the user, they can take care of the user themselves, do nothing/avoid them/disgrace them, tell the guards, or try to help the user...It depends on the person on what they'll do.

There are two successful secret places magic is taught. Most commonly, magic is taught secretly by the parents if they're okay with it and didn't leave the child to die. Some places where magic users are taught besides at home are usually small and crude. Many functional schools have been shut down and eliminated.

Enchanted items are dealt as contraband and are taken away if found. Enchanters are also treated as magic users and are also sometimes forced to enchant items for the emperor. Magic items are generally harder to find out, so a small enchantment could go unnoticed.

Beings from other dimensions, such as my two characters, are much harder to find out. This is because the magic they have is much different and so the methods of detecting magic on Alema don't necessarily work except for some certain advanced technology.

So the plot is very flexible and casual type of thing then going around the lines of: figuring out what's going on and getting all settled in and what not(casual), deciding the emperor sucks and we should get rid of him, going to make a rebellion maybe with the Kailu and go on an adventure to do so, lore stuff(??) and then overthrowing the emperor.

(Ah Thank you for letting me post my form, I hope you like them)

Name: Zero (Real Name is unknown to most)
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Occupation: Assassin (accepted to be hired by most)
Appearance: Similar to the Sahalia, Zero actually has black scales on her back, curvy horns and black wings just like what dragons have. Her wings are light grey and Zero’s eyes are also grey. However her short hair is dark brown with very pale skin as if she is sick. Some other beings that have seen her question if she is a Sahalia, or a different race. Her clothing is dark with her hooded top clothing filled with straps on the arms and torso, black pants and black boots. Has a gold ring on her left hand that keeps her small magical aura.
Personality: Reserved (to a point), usually quiet, patient, calm but yet can easily be angered. Honest for those she trusts, has a kind and soft heart for orphaned and poor children. If found anyone who she thinks she can trust, she will be loyal to them.
Weapon of choice:(Dual) Daggers (similar to Daedric daggers from Skyrim) and poison veils
Backstory: Born with parents as merchants, but tried to keep themselves as hidden as possible, and in fact her parents have a little of magic inherited in them. (Only used for healing purposes). They often sold clothing and herbs, willing to help the empire, though when Zero turned 10, her parents suddenly didn’t come back inside her home since Zero always was left alone during the afternoon. She tried looking for them when it was dark out with barely any other people roaming about. But all she saw were a bunch of guards walking away with her parents. She wanted to help and stop them, but she knew it would mean danger. Then after that, an actual Sahalia raised her as his own and in fact taught her the arts of being an assassin. And so tried to disguise herself to be like a Sahalia, even though there were rare cases other citizens noticed something a little different about her, but that was it. But now always has been working as a hired assassin with most people.
Other: Bisexual and is polyamory, is weak and allergic to silver if touching it with any skin exposed, very lightweight and blends with the shadows easily, talented with herbalism, resistant to fire for a certain amount of time (able to resist it up to a half hour at most). Unable to swim, only can do small amounts of healing magic (such as large scars and large bruises)

@SoulSerpent (should I ping you, or are you subbed already?)

Ya, it's good! I'll wait for you to finish it. Quick question, who is Zero a spy for?
Also, yes romance is allowed, I should go put that in the rules lol

Lol ok, I am subbed, but you don’t have to ping me but I would like to be pinged if I forgot to reply. I am unsure who Zero spies for, maybe the emperor, though I feel like she would do better in being a hired assassin for either just about anyone or just for the emperor.

Also thank you for the option with romance.

Okay, sorry for the ping!
Yes, I would say that she'd be good for being a hired assassin for just about anyone ^^

I'll be offline for a bit, only popping in every once and a while on my phone. (My phone's really heckin' slow on FR ^^')

Please keep in mind that my logic permit has expired and that the 76th color of the alphabet in the exact time of a parakeet eating a pie in June is equivalent to a giant whale-eating cantaloupe allergic to a chair made out of potato salami held by a sandwich that has beetle hands.
Ok! That’s alright. And I am on Mobil too so yea, sorry if I reply slow lol.

Also your character is accepted! We'll start roleplaying when we've got more people joined
