The werewolf bounded through the trees on all fours, breathing heavily. The Templar were on her tail, chasing her. They knew who she was. They knew who her family was. They could hurt them. The girl ran faster, trying to lose the jeep in the trees. She flinched as she heard the sound of gunshots behind her. She heard the sound of a bullet embedding itself into the tree just to her right.

The girl ground to a halt when she saw a motorcycle wheel around in front of her. She looked around and realized she was surrounded. The girl shrank away from the approaching Templar, mind racing for a way out. There was none.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here. One of the mongrels thought they could lose us in the woods."

The girl froze. She knew the voice. She tried to run away, but she heard the click of a gun. She froze, eyes darting between the Templar. She felt the barrel of a gun press into her temple.

"Listen here. You're going to get into the truck. And you aren't going to try any funny business. You're going to come with us, quietly, and maybe we'll let you live."

The girl shook. The Templar grabbed her shoulder. "Why don't you shift back and make this easier on the both of us."

What? Is he crazy? I can't just shift back.

The Templar grunted. The last thing the girl remembered was his hissing voice in her ear.

"I thought I could trust you."

And then she blacked out.

The captain hunched over his desk, scribbling away at the incident report. He was careful to document every move the werewolves made, compiling them into a thick file. One day, he knew, it would come in handy. The civilians had to know what monsters they were up against. The time was soon. But they weren't ready yet. First, they needed to prove that the beasts existed.

He looked up when he heard the knock on his door. "Yes? What is it?"

One of the Templar opened the door. "We just got another one. We're running some tests now, but I think we'll be putting it in the common rooms."

The captain nodded. "Did it put up a fight?"

The Templar shook his head. "Not much of one, lucky for us. Oh, I also wanted to mention that we got a few more recruits. When you get the chance, you should come check them out."

The captain nodded. He set his pen down and closed his eyes. They were making progress, yes, but he feared it wasn't going quickly enough. Too many of the beasts were free. They needed to be crushed.

Someone looked over the map, brow furrowed. They had heard rumors of werewolves in the area. They were coming mostly from biased sources. Templar who were talking about "beasts" and "demons" that were "terrorizing" locals. They sighed. No werewolf in their right mind was going to step forward with the rumors flying.

The person paced around their room. There were a few people they had working to find the local pack. They needed to get in contact with them. Show them they had human allies. The pack was, understandably, wary towards their advances. The Hyacintho Luna, the group that had sworn to fight the Templar in any way they could, had little luck in finding the pack. Every lead they had was tainted by Templar influence.

The person sighed inwardly. The Templar were advancing. They were getting bolder. The Hyacintho Luna had too few forces to resist them. They would need a miracle, sudden edge. Their newest lead could lead them to one of the werewolf leaders. But would it be enough?

Hello! I hope drudging through the intro wasn't too daunting. Um, welcome to the bottom of the post (yay!). This is a werwolf RP. I will have a bit more info in the following posts, but here's a TL;DR:

There are three groups. The Werewolves (Lycanthropes if you want), the Templar and the Hyacintho Luna (which stands for Blue Moon in Latin according to Google Translate). The Werewolves are werewolves, like the name implies. The Templar are werewolf hunters and the Hyacintho Luna are the Anti-Templar (but they are human). The Templar are on a fast-track to turning the general public against werewolves, and the Hyacintho Luna are trying to stop this. The Werewolves are distrusting of both groups and just want to be left alone.

That's about all, but some more info will be in later posts!

Personality: Unless she suspects someone is a werewolf, she is usually very kind to people. She likes to make jokes and tries to find humor in any situation. Generally willing to lend a hand, there are very few times people will find themselves on her bad side. When she gets angry she plots revenge and generally goes through with it. If she suspects someone of being a werewolf, or if someone suggests that what the Templar are doing is anything less than noble, she becomes cold and angry. She hates werewolves with a passion and will go to great lengths to capture and kill them. Background (optional): Emily grew up in a normal family. She was skeptical about the existence of werewolves when she was young and didn't fully believe they were evil. Her teacher in the fourth grade was a Templar and spent the day teaching the class about how werewolves were "monsters." Most of the class blew it off but Emily clung to the words and lived by them. She became obsessive in looking for werewolves and plotting to kill them in elaborate schemes. As she got older, her plans became less elaborate but her passion remained. She has hundreds (yes) of werewolf deaths under her belt and knows most of their tactics. She wears black tennis shoes as well. Her eyes are green and she'll wear glasses on occasion. They are prescription lenses but she prefers contacts most of the time. Her parents both worked to support a drug addiction. Alex spent her time in school keeping her head down and trying to educate herself out of her situation. She managed to gain a great respect for knowledge by middle school but had to drop out of high-school to get a full-time job so she could support herself when her father was taken to jail. When she heard the Templar's rampant hate for werewolves, she decided to do her own digging. She managed to talk with a werewolf about the culture before they were dragged away by the Templar. She now spends her time researching and trying to bring a greater understanding to werewolf culture and history to dispel the air of fear. Her mother died from cancer when they immigrated, while Sam was still a baby, and her father became an alcoholic when she hit her teen years, so Sam turned to less desirable lines of work (stripping, drug dealing, thug-for-hire, ect…) to make enough money to survive. When she was eighteen, a werewolf mauled her father to death when he was in a drunken fit and assaulted them, then they shifted. Sam was recruited by the Templars shortly afterwards, and ever since then she has been a model agent. She has an overall soft look to her face, with pale skin and rosy cheeks. She has butt length, highly pigmented morpho blue hair with dark blue and turquoise highlights in it. It started growing out that color when she was bitten. It is wavy, with loose curls at its end. °Body Type - She is tall and wiry, with less muscle definition but an hourglass body shape. °Scars/Tattoos - Aayala has a four inch long, inch wide tattoo on the small of her back of a vine of bright blue clusters of flowers. Her body is lithe and muscular, and her tail is long, thin, and sleek furred, being a little longer than her body with a tuft of fluffy turquoise fur at its end. The legs on her wolf form are actually bone-thin and little ivory white spurs stick out on their outer sides. Just maybe… Age: 18 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Personality: Aayala avoids people and connections, and hides behind a mask of carelessness and morbid humor. She is pretty dark and pessimistic and overall selfish. She is depressed and hates herself, having low self esteem and a view of the world that's grey and unhappy. She hides her emotions very well and most of the time just seems very monotone and calm, sarcastic, and even a little b*tchy at times. Background: Aayala has been alone her whole life. As a child growing up, her parents were always working until they got into a fatal car accident when she was around nine. There was no other family who would take her, so she ended up in the foster system. She ran away a lot, not wanting to be close to anyone or have a family of her own. She always walked to school, and one day, she met a handsome stranger who turned out to be a werewolf. They thought that biting her would set her free- but in fact, Aayala was captured shortly after it by the Templars and experimented on. Her wolf form is messed up because of it. Age: 22 Gender: Female Sexuality: Ace/Aro Personality: Esha is a spitfire through and through. She isn't afraid to speak her mind or stand up for what she believes in, even when the odds are stacked against her. Stubborn, decisive, and analytical, Esha is a natural leader type that quickly takes control of chatoci situations. She can be a bit hot-headed, quick to jump to conclusions, but is just as easy to calm as she is to bolster. You may not believe it, but despite her stubbornness, Esha is the type to take others's opinions and ideas to heart. Unless they're, y'know, about killing werewolves or whatever. She can be a bit awkward around new people, trying to find the right way to balance her admittedly strong personality at the general weirdness of new acquaintances, but it isn't too hard for her to adapt as long as the other person it attempting too. She has trouble knowing when to take breaks, and would overwork herself and others before she even realizes they needed to rest. She doesn't like to leave people behind, and though she may not be the best at it, Esha will happily help someone in need. Background: Esha's parents are both part of the Hyacintho Luna, and actually met through the organization. As such, Esha was raised to the belief that they needed to protect werewolves from the Templar. They are still humans, after all, and what the Templar is doing to them is horrifically wrong. Esha started training as a true member of the Hyacintho Luna at the age of sixteen, and through six years of hard work has become an admirable member of the protective society. Above all, though, he hates having to ask others for help. Despite this, he's sociable by nature and loves helping others out, assuming they can put up with his somewhat vain attitude. In his spare time, he enjoys drawing. Background (optional): Maxie was born a human. When rumors of werewolves first started circulating, he blew it off as some urban fantasy maniac's delusions. This changed one night, when he wandered into the forest alone as part of a dare. A strange wolf attacked him and bit him, then ran off after seeing he wasn't a threat. She's around 5'3", with her proportions suggesting she's either beginning or about to begin a growth spurt. She has somewhat large, slightly calloused hands with long, thin fingers. Her nails are small and rough from years of biting them, and her feet are a bit big for her age. Calliope's skin is dark, but not very, and flecked here and there with slight freckling on her arms and legs. She has a rectangle, athletic body shape. Her face is round, and she has average lips and an average nose. Her eyebrows are thick and full, but she does not consider this a good quality of her appearance. Her hair goes down to her waist, and is curly without being outrageously so. It's parted to the side across her face, and often likes to rest on her shoulders. Its color is a brown that is quite dark, but distinctively not black, with red-gold highlights and a few strands of an auburn color. Her almond shaped, upturned eyes have long lashes and bright amber-gold irises, which unfortunately make it impossible to hide that she's a werewolf. She usually wears warm clothes in the form of darkly-colored hoodies—ones that can be easily removed in times of need—and these weird jeans that edge on the side of sweatpants without crossing the line. Her wolf form is small due to her young age, with thick, yet not fluffy, fur. This fur is a slightly red-tinted dark brown, with a couple of much darker patches along her back, head, and ears. Her underbelly is a stark white that stands out against the rest of her fur, and she has a pitch black tail tip. One of her paws has white toes, and her eyes are exactly the same color as her human form's. [b]Personality:[/b] Calliope is very smart, if a bit odd at times. She goes out of her way to be witty, and on the rare occasion her jokes land they're actually pretty good. She is very loyal and close to the rest of her pack, and would much rather them be happy than her. Unfortunately, she's still rather young, so she often is much less of a help than she'd like to be. She has multiple habits that she'd really like to break, like biting her nails and twirling her hair, but she has been unsuccessful as of late. She gets flustered very easily, and often says things that she intensely regrets a second later. She is a total introvert, but will die for things she's passionate about. [b]Background:[/b]Calliope is a bitten werewolf. She spent the beginning of her life in an ordinary family, who didn't seem to have any opinion of the werewolves. They didn't entirely agree with the Templars, but didn't disagree with the passion of the Hyacintho Lunas. They were in this middle ground... until Calliope was seven. Her father was bitten and turned into a werewolf, and her mother left in... well, Calliope didn't exactly know why. Maybe she didn't want to run the risk of having their lives ruined by the Templars? Her father raised her alone for a while, as her mother considered her old life far too dangerous to bring any part of it with her, even her own daughter. Eventually, Calliope's father made Calliope herself into a werewolf, and they joined the pack together when she was nine. She formed a close bond with the pack, and became passionately loyal to it and her father. When she was ten, however, the Templars got to him. They caught him off guard in the woods and took him away, and Calliope doesn't know what happened to him. She was devastated, but she couldn't do anything about it. So, she formed an even closer bond with the pack, and now most would assume her to be born a werewolf. She lives as good a life as she can live with the circumstances, and desperately wants to somehow get vengeance. If only she were confident enough in her abilities to try. [b]Werewolf/Templar/Hyacintho Luna:[/b] Werewolf [b]Other:[/b] Calliope has a double-jointed thumb on both hands. She isn’t what you would call skinny, but she’s not [i]not[/i] skinny either. She kind of exists in limbo when it comes to body fat, and she’s happy that way. Their skin is light, but not fair or pale. Amarantha has piebaldism, and her forearms, parts of her hands, neck, cheek, and lower right leg are all a much lighter shade than the rest of her skin. She also has a significant white streak in her hair, and a light patch on her forehead connecting to it. Their hands are average size for her age and size, and her nails are usually painted purple. Amarantha has round eyes, one of which has partly white lashes, and brown irises. Her eyebrows are average, except that part of one of them is white. Her face is oval shaped, and they have a small scar under her lip from an incident with a stapler. Amarantha usually wears large, comfortable sweaters, her preferred color being any shade of purple. They’re rarely seen outside of jeans. She knows that werewolves are humans too, with something about them that makes them unique. That does [i]not[/i] give the Templars the right to hunt them down as if they’re just animals, and nothing will ever make her opinion change. She won’t admit it to anyone, but she kind of wants to [i]become[/i] a werewolf. It intrigues them so much, and she’d love to finally be a part of something. Maybe they could finally fight the Templars if they had claws and sharp teeth. Maybe she could actually do something with her life. Aside from that, they’re generally kind, but not afraid to get things done. If only she knew what to do, then maybe she could be a valued member of the Hyacintho Luna instead of just one more person in their ranks. They’re passionate about the things they believe in, and often end up spawning straight up essays out of nowhere to prove a point. She’s an ambivert, enjoying alone time but functioning like an extrovert in extroverty situations. [b]Background:[/b] Amarantha has always been fascinated with the unusual. Growing up in a middle-class home, she often spent days shut in her room reading about things like vampires and werewolves and witches… She loved it so much, and they were fascinated by werewolves in particular. You can imagine their excitement when they found out that werewolves were real… much to their parent’s consternation. Amarantha’s parents were strong supporters of the Templars, almost to the point of joining them altogether. They had tolerated Amarantha’s obsession with [i]reading[/i] about things like them… but her excitement as to their actual existence was too much. They tried to discipline her out of it, but only succeeded in weakening the bond between parent and child. When Amarantha discovered their parent’s views on the things she loved and was interested in, she was devastated. How could they? How could they think that werewolves were animals that needed to be killed off? How could they believe in the horrible things the Templars said? Amarantha lost all her trust in their parents at age ten. Sad. She tolerated them for six more years, and the day she hit sixteen she went to join the Hyacintho Luna, never looking back. They have been with them for four years, and have such a sense of purpose that she doesn’t regret her choice in any way. He has an earring on his left ear. His wolf form is quadrupedal and generally looks a lot like a regular wolf, just significantly bigger and visibly intelligent. He has gray fur in varying shades, with a dark gray base and black accents along his back and face, and lighter grays and whites along his underbelly and cheeks. His legs are mostly lighter gray, and his eyes are cold yellow. He's oddly good at sounding like he believes in things he really doesn't, which is the only reason he hasn't been found out. He's extroverted, but not that good at being social, but he manages. He's loyal to the pack and would do anything for them. [b]Background:[/b] Peter Johnson's family is generally from the Japan, China, and Korea area, but his grandparents came to the country he lives in now in search of a unique new experience in life. Peter's parents were also of the same ethnicity, but they were more accustomed to the culture of the place they lived in then than where their families originally came in. Thus, they named their child Peter Johnson. Not, however, they were both bitten and turned into werewolves by a dying pack desperate for new members. They refused to join the pack, instead living more reclusive lives than before but otherwise not changing anything. Thus, Peter was born a werewolf. He grew up being more accustomed to his wolf form due to it being natural to him, unlike his parents'. When he encountered a pack—the one now lead by Zo­­ë Nightshade—of werewolves, he instantly felt a sense of belonging. He left his parents to live their reclusive lives and joined his pack at thirteen, doing all he could to be a valuable member. Eventually, when he turned eighteen, he volunteered to infiltrate the Templars as a spy. Now, Peter spies on the Templars and gives information on what they do and their plans to his pack, despite knowing that being discovered is inevitable. He has seen what happens to the werewolves captured by Templars and doesn't want to suffer that fate, but he is willing to if it saves his pack and werewolves in general.
