Stories of gods and heroes, monsters and villains, fighting over what would become ancient civilizations. Their stories etched in stone, or told by mouth, or even still believed today. Even so, it is practically common knowledge that the age of the gods was long ago. [b]We expected the stories to last forever[/b], as fantastical myths often do. Who wouldn’t want to hear the tales of brave heroes fighting for the greater good of humanity? We always knew that the legends would never die. Everything seems to be normal. However, something that could potentially change the world has occurred: old gods have returned. Very few know of this. The world keeps moving on as normal. In fact, the reincarnated gods don’t even know it. They just appeared one day as young adults with almost no memories, and now have to pick up the pieces and try to make a living. They know they’re not normal, but really, who is? All of them live in a large house on the coast of some place called Italy. Someone pays for the electricity and utilities, but it certainly isn’t the gods... Their life gets along fairly well. They’ve been on Earth for a year or two now, and strange things only happen occasionally. By now, they’ve figured out that they can’t use magic in front of humans, so their lives seem pretty normal. What they don’t know is that now, someone knows they’re here. They aren’t the only gods of this world. And the other gods don’t want their thrones taken. Almost everything will be from Egyptian, Greek/Roman, or Norse mythology, because those are what I know best, but I might throw in other stuff as well. All of the player characters will originate from the same mythology, I just don’t want to say which yet. Unlike most RPs, you won’t apply as a character. It adds to the mystery and fun if both the character and the player don’t know what god they are. After you pick, you will also receive a message about what little your god remembers of their past life. What you do with this information is up to you. It sits on a cliff and overlooks the Mediterranean. There are no other houses around it. It’s located right next to a road, which people occasionally pass by on. The house came with two cars, and five people can cram into each. Strangely, it never seems to run out of gas. There’s also a few bikes at the house and a motorcycle. The house has appliances, electricity, and whatnot, but no one has to pay any bills. Everyone has phones, clothing, and whatever else’s they need for the modern day. They appeared at the house a year or two ago, and have settled in nicely by now. Some of the gods have memories of their past life, while others have no idea who they are. Somehow, all of them know that they are gods, but they don’t exactly know what that means. None of them know why they are here. They have the abilities of gods, but have not unlocked them all yet. The gods, despite having no real grasp of their powers or who they are, are certainly not regular humans. Some can preform magic, while others have distinct abilities that humans can only dream of. None of the humans that the group has interacted with have shown any signs of knowing magic. They also believe that the old gods are myths. There are multiple types of beings that can be encountered in this world. Here’s a general overview of the major ones: [b]Divinity[/b]: Most would generically label everyone in this group as a god, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes mortals or monsters are elevated to the status of divinity alongside the gods, but it is very rare. Divine creatures are very powerful and extremely hard to kill. In fact, some are flat out impossible to kill. Those that die have a tendency to come back in one way or another. Most of humanity has forgotten that the divine exist, but they still rule over Earth, pulling the strings from the shadows. Blessed creatures and gods fall into this category. [b]Mortals[/b]: These are the creatures that the world sees. Most would label them as “mundane” creatures, although this is not entirely true. Mortals are capable of performing magic, but they have forgotten the sacred arts of doing it. It is also possible for a mortal to become divine through some sort of blessing. They consider almost everything not labeled as a mortal to be a myth. Mortals can most definitely die, and their souls are forever trapped in the underworld from then on unless they choose to reincarnate. Humans and the other common creatures of Earth fall into this category. [b]Monsters[/b]: Often seen as the great evil, monsters are the beings that do not originate from Earth. While they are not arbitrarily allied with anybody at birth, most see monsters as evil due to their tendency to butt heads with the gods. If anyone could easily kill divine creatures, it would be a monster. Monsters can appear as humanoid or non-human as you could possibly imagine. Some are sentient, while others are purely animals. Monsters can be killed, but it is notably difficult for mortals, and it is possible for them to reincarnate. Any beings not divine that originate from a realm other than Earth fall into this category. [b]Hybrids[/b]: It is not unheard of for beings from different categories to have children together. When this occurs, a hybrid is born. Hybrids, also known as half-bloods or half-breeds, are very rarely respected unless they manage to keep their mixed heritage a secret. Their power range is not limited by their blood; they can be just as weak or powerful as their parents, or maybe even more so. Any two categories can intermingle. Any creature whose parents are not both in the same category fall into this category.

Based on his constantly changing hair and inconsistent gender, common consensus is that he’s a shapeshifter who doesn’t know how to control his powers. He’s skilled with a blade and a good liar. Some have noted that he’s got good endurance and amazing pain tolerance. He’s a very sneaky character, and while he’s good at sneaking around, he’s not as skilled at getting out of trouble when he’s caught. Her clothing style varies, but she’s always wearing a fancy necklace with a glowing orange gem in the center. She also has a falcon feather cloak that she never wears because they can sense some enchantment on it, but have no idea what it is. [b]Description[/b]: Finja is a bit vain. She believes that she is one of the greatest of the gods, and compliments go right to her head. However, she’s learned to care for others at some point. While she cares about herself, she’s not blind to the needs of anyone else. Any suffering, and she’ll immediately try to make it stop. That being said, if there’s someone that she particularly dislikes, she has no qualms about torture. She might not be the most knowledgeable of history or the sciences, but she is very logical, and can often see and pick the best path with the least consequences. As much as she tries to keep an open mind, in the end she’s very set in her ways and cannot be told otherwise unless you have mountains of proof. In most cases, she tries to be friendly, but if she’s in a hurry or annoyed at someone she will either ignore them or barely give them any response before walking away.
