Introduction: Andromeda was the younger sister of Queen Ravenna whom she left to new life with a man she loved and had a child. Although the man was promised to another, he send a letter to Andromeda calling her to the palace garden where he claimed they would be married in secret. However, it was a ruse to separate Andromeda from her child and when she left for the garden, the man (supposedly) killed his illegitimate daughter. Realizing what happened, Andromeda rushed back to her chambers where the palace guards had already captured her lover. Overwhelmed by her anger and grief, she unleashed the magic hidden inside her and froze the man where he stood, killing him when he fell to the ground and shattered. After the death of her baby, Andromeda gained the power to summon ice upon rage. Andromeda then left her family to conquer a kingdom for herself, planning to raise an army as she was prevented from raising a child. Her men sacked the villages and her subjects feared her. With her magic, Andromeda turned the farmlands of the north into a frozen waste, reigning from an ice fortress. She also sent her men to capture children who she intended to turn into her personal huntsmen. Now, Andromeda, Queen Of The North, reigns the cold north, much of it reduced to waste of ice. Sofia woke up, slipped into her dark red dress, shoved on her riding pants, and went to the armory. She put on her dark red breastplate, strapped on her greaves, slipped into her boots, put on her dark red war helmet, grabbed her sword and shield, strapped them on, strapped on her quiver, and slung her bow over her back. She walked to the stables, where the servants had already dressed her war mare. The horse, which was her only horse, was strawberry red, with a flaming crimson mane and tail. She mounted the horse. "I can't believe Andromeda is already outside the city wall. I can't believe she wanted to fight me in person." She said. She had a hint of excitement in her voice. She knew Andromeda was a fierce warrior, cold as ice with a frozen heart to match. Sofia wanted to melt the ice off of that heart and reveal the tender soul underneath, as long as Andromeda didn't kill her first. She had a white silk cloth, provisions, extra arrows, a bedroll, and her crown in her saddlebags. No one knew what she was planning, and she was glad, because she wanted to catch Andromeda by surprise. "Ready, Ruby Red? We have to go meet Andromeda. She's got camp set up outside of the city." They had been at war for months, with Sofia losing more and more of her kingdom every day, until only the capital was left.

Andromeda rested on her large polar bear as she waited for Sofia. Her army was larger than Sofia's, more powerful. Andromeda was going to wreak havoc on the capital, and it will become part of her kingdom. She called Aaron and Erin forward. (@DarkOverLight come in.) "I will need you both to lead my army. This capital must be destroyed by the time I am finished with Sofia. Do not displease me." Andromeda was going to take that city, and save the children from love.

Sofia saw the lines of proud soldiers. She rode her mare. They stepped to each side, making a passageway. She rode through it. She stared bravely into Andromeda's cold eyes. She had taken out her crown and was holding it. She had given the white silk cloth to the flag raiser. She stared at Andromeda. "I surrender." She said. She threw down her crown. Immediately, the soldiers dropped their weapons. The flag raiser raised the white cloth, symbolizing surrender. Sofia stepped off of her mare. Ruby Red reared and all her war gear fell off. Sofia pet Ruby Red's muzzle. "Thank you for all the years you held me. I will miss you, my friend." She said to the mare. Ruby Red nickered. "Run, Ruby Red." She said. The horse turned and immediately galloped away. Sofia dropped her weapons on the ground. She turned to her soldiers. "ALL HAIL QUEEN ANDROMEDA!" She shouted. She turned back to Andromeda and knelt. "ALL HAIL QUEEN ANDROMEDA!" Her soldiers echoed. They knelt, following Sofia's example for the last time.

Aaron and Erin looked to the Queen Andromeda and nodded their heads in unison. Erin grinned mischievous as Aaron gently nodded his head to his younger sister, “Alright you *ssholes! Get movi-“ The woman was cut of by Queen Sophia yelling. Erin snarled and looked by to her queen, asking her on what to do.

Winter signaled at Aaron and Erin to stop. "They surrender." She said, dismounting her polar bear. Andromeda stared at Sofia with those cold eyes. "However, surrendering, comes at a price. I will need all your children, just your children, to come with me." Andromeda didn't trust Sofia, so she said. "If you trick me, I will destroy everything that you have ever known."

Dawn sighed as she sat in the tavern (the best gossip were in the taverns, after all, and best for anonymity). She was wearing a nondescript traveller’s outfit made of gambeson, good for cold weather.
On a side note, frost makes blades useless, and freezing steel makes the grain structure brittle and easier to break or shatter. Metal armour freezes, and if there is nothing between a person and it, the armour would stick to their skin. Gambeson, on the other hand, is a textile armour made from several layers of linen that have been sewn together. It’s thick, perfect for winter weather, and can even stop heavy arrows. Perfect for her new assignment.
Dawn sighed under her breath and shifted her quiver of arrows slightly as she kept a keen ear out for gossip.
“...the Queen of the North’s begun a siege on Queen Sofia’s capital!” One of the soldiers began animatedly. She quickly listened in.
So, this ‘Queen of the North’ was known for freezing everything up north and conquering everything. Already, she could see several problems. For one, this QotN literally cut off all her food supplies and relied on conquering. Seriously, how did she sustain herself, her entire army, her kingdom and their steeds? Second, how did she get water if she hated fire and summoned ice? Third, she was attacking a kingdom where the Queen was IMMUNE TO FIRE. And somehow winning. Really? Attacking a powerful enemy at the seat of their power?
Still, ice was powerful, but if her ability was literally ‘freezing everything’ she had several problems. Not Dawn, the Queen of the North.
Dawn sighed and continued eavesdropping as the men discussed if the Queen would come for the kingdom she was currently in, because it was a tropical country and it never snowed here. Dawn lowered her head slightly, allowing the hood already over her face to obscure it further.
The men wanted to start preparing for the Queen’s attack, and she found another hooded person eavesdropping on them. Dawn quickly scanned them to see if they were allied with the QotN (she didn’t seem like the type to have spies), and quickly stood up to join the discussion.
“Well, if she’s going to attack us, then I suggest...”

Aaron dipped his head and looked to his sister, who was growling loudly. He tapped her shoulder and gently pulled her back to the front of the army. He walked up to Andromeda’s side and raised his head slightly.

Erin huffed and returned to the front of the arm, his fingers clasped into a fist. She placed her hand up her hip and looked away. Her eyes flashed an orange color when the light had hit them just right.

Andromeda paced to the ground, the ground freezing. "The children, I will need them. And we will need you to come to my kingdom as well. I will need no weapons from you, and I want no form of trickery in my kingdom. Maybe I will spare your army. But chances...." Andromeda trailed off, leaving the air around her with mystery.

Sofia stared at Andromeda.
"Alright."
She called for every person between the ages of newborn and 18 to come forth.
About an hour later, roughly 10,000 people had come from the city. The teenagers held their heads high, the babies just drooled. When Sofia's baby sister, Princess Ariana, was carried past her, Sofia broke down crying. "I'm fine. I'm really fine." She said to her concerned maids, who weren't much older than her. "You're not fine, miss." One of her maids said. "Don't call me miss like I'm a queen. My name is Sofia. I'm just Sofia, and that's all I'll ever be." Sofia replied. "Sofia, please calm down." Another of her maids said, nervously stepping back. The members of the crowd surrounding her surged backwards. Sofia sighed. "I said, I'm fine." Her third maid looked at her. "No you aren't, Sofia. We need you to be strong, calm down. Don't have a panic attack." the woman said nervously. Sofia clenched her fists. "I said, I'm FINE!" Quick as a flash, a fire raged up. A few moments later, the wind blew it out, leaving a 10 foot circle of scorched earth around Sofia. Sofia's eyes were literally glowing. Her hands were wreathed in fire. "I don't need anyone's support! I just want to be left alone!" She fumed. The fire began to race up her arms. "Please, calm down!" But she didn't hear who said it. She was covered in fire now, tongues of searing flame licking her skin. "I am FINE, okay?" She shouted.
